About: Since an extremely young age, my family has fostered dogs. We've had 13 different puppers that we took in until we kept our family dog from one of our fosters, we had Sam for 16 years! Aside from fostering, I have always been around pets. Currently we have a dog we rescued from the Dominican Republic, we found him in the middle of the highway and made it so now he's a Canadian! Urszula's mom back in Poland breeds and competes competitively her English Bulldogs. Urszula has also grown up knowing animals and loving and taking care of them since a very young age. Even in England, where we met, Urszula was taking care of a Staffordshire terrier. That is not an easy task compared to some breeds! My girlfriend Urszula and I have the utmost love and respect for pets! While at work we are constantly planning and talking about our doggy and what plans we have for them. We both have full time jobs but our schedules have it so we are only ever away from the house for no more than 3 -4 hours at a time. We walk our dog minimum 3 times a day for a minimum of 20 minutes at a time. We love going to the dog park or on random hikes in new places! We have a fenced yard. We also only allow the dog off leash in the backyard. He has a lot of energy and gets to run around the grass and of course dig all the holes we don't want in the flower beds! Our dog loves his crate and he goes in there as he wishes now. When leaving him elsewhere than our house we always give him the crate. Otherwise he sleeps with us either at the end of the bed or under the headboard. We work from home as well as work at the office kind of like a hybrid work mode. Our schedule is very much open. Very easy and open. I care for pets the same way I care for my own. Making sure they are fed happy and exercised. Please let me know if there's anything special to do with the care for your animal.

About: I grew up helping care for my parents dogs and plants. We had over 6 from a young age and my dog at home is the dog-son of my older-deceased pet. She lived a long, relaxing life. I would always be ready to pet-sit growing up with family and friends asking me to. I’ve always enjoyed the company of pets. I can offer the pet, home and plants the necessary comfort and care, and keep them alive and breathing as long as I can. I currently have a full time job at the ladder until early September and also as Casual First Aid Instructor until February 2026. Besides work from 830-530, I can feed the pets and plant: before I leave and when I come home, checking on them throughout the day when possible. On days I am off from work, usually Sunday, I can give them extra time for walks and strolls if they need or want. Unfortunately, my home is not pet-friendly but I do have experience with crating dogs and taking care of friends and the neighbours pets in their home.

I am very detail oriented and will be happy to follow your pet's routine and any dietary needs.

I will be glad to do what it takes to meet the specific needs of your loved one(s)! Alex & Urszula M.
“When Alex was a child, he had a stuffed dog that he called Sam. We always said if we got a real dog we’d have to call him Sam. Later we began to foster dogs for a rescue organization in Ottawa called Friends of Abandoned Pets. For a number of years we saw every manner of adorable mangey dog through the revolving door of our home, including a deaf Dalmatian puppy that was almost our undoing, and were able to love them all for their short stays until they found their forever homes. That is until the fateful day FAP arrived on the doorstep with a tiny puppy and teddy bear wrapped together in a blanket. When we opened the door she said “This is Sam”. Even trying to put my fingers up in the shape of a cross and wishing away evil spirits, we knew there was no hope and our quirky foster Sam would find his forever home with us. Out of three boys in the family, Alex took centre stage with Sam, beginning a lifelong bond and that need to have an animal in your life always. Travelling down a highway on a motorcycle in Dominican Republic, our Alex spotted a tiny crying mass, abandoned on the side of the highway. Being in the country for a temporary work position, he wasn’t sure exactly what he was going to do with this little bundle so tucked it into his shirt and set off home. He had been horrified by the lack of care the animals on the island received and knew there was not much hope for this little guy. He was completely eaten up with parasites so Alex brought him to the vet and got medicines and nursed him back to health. I may have neglected to mention that the previous month he and his partner in crime had taken in a stray cat and when asked what the plan was they’d dither but inevitably they were going to bring it home when they left the island. So now Hector the cat and best buddy Carlito the dog, after much paperwork and an expensive and gruelling flight together, live happily in their new country, giving each other kisses and cleaning each other off when nobody is looking. There is not much more to say. Alex inherited his mother’s love for these beautiful tiny creatures and it will be a mutually beneficial relationship for any and all that are lucky to pass through his life.”

Rayna V.
“I highly recommend Rayna as a dog sitter and house sitter. She is not only incredibly reliable and professional but also truly love and understand dogs. From the moment she met my dogs, I felt confident that my dog would be in great hands. What stood out the most was how clean and well-organized Rayna is and how she kept my home and environment. It’s clear they take cleanliness seriously—not just for their own space, but for the health and comfort of the dogs they care for. My dog was always well cared for. Rayna takes the time to get to know each dog’s routine, personality, and needs. She provided regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Whether it's a long walk, feeding, or just playtime, I know my dog is always receiving attentive and loving care. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, thoughtful, and keeps a clean and safe environment, Rayna is the perfect choice. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog.”

Danette S.
“I trusted Danette with our year old German Shepard and she exceeded our expectations. Danette was respectful and professional communicating with us about picking Wiser up and listened to our instructions for her harness. Danette sent pictures of her walk with Wiser and gave us a report on how Wiser was behaving. Wiser loves Danette and thinks of her as part of the family now. Thanks Danette!”

Loreena D.
“I have been close friends with Loreena for about 8-9 years now. I can honestly say that she is one of the most empathetic, kind, caring, and genuine people that I know. She is thoughtful, and deeply cares for other people's and animal's well-being. She is very responsible, and was a model student during our time at Queen's University (graduated with First Class Honours). Loreena grew up with animals, specifically dogs, on her parents' farm. During the time I knew her, I have seen her look after both cats and dogs. She always did a good job, not only making sure that they were well-fed and happy, but also giving the specific animal the love and attention that they require. She definitely knew how to read their body language. Loreena loves animals, and makes an amazing dog caregiver. Anyone would be lucky to have Loreena look after their pet!!”

“My house was in good hands with Sarah. She diligently looked after my pets who were all very comfortable with her -- even my dog, who usually takes a bit to warm up. Sarah kept in touch and when I came home my house was all in order. She is kind, thoughtful and trustworthy!”
