I highly recommend Sara as a cat sitter. She was able to accommodate my last minute request and I could tell from the photos that my cat felt comfortable with her right away. Sara also watered my flowers and was able to take care of some other things around my house. It felt nice knowing that everything was well taken care of while I was away!

About: Several years ago, I got involved in dogsled guiding, and I immediately fell in love with the dogs and the bond formed between musher and canine. This sparked a passion for dogs in sport for me. I love running, skiing, and biking with furry friends. As an active person with 2 dogs of my own, I am happy to share the fun with any pup - from a leisurely stroll to sprinting on-line in a harness. My experience in dog handling has covered new puppies, to senior dogs - I love them all! Let’s meet and see how we get along, and then, let’s run! I do work shift work and on-call, so while this allows for flexibility, I have no set days week-to-week. That being said, my ability to come at a broader range of times on days off is beneficial. *For more availability please message me as sometimes days marked “unavailable” are simply reserved for on-call and can be modified.** I have attended training classes with my own dogs using positive reinforcement which I will implement with any dog in my care. I am happy to care for your dog alone, or, if it suits, I can bring my two for company (*situationally dependent**). I am more than happy to accommodate for any tools or systems you require to be used with your dog. *I am not a dog trainer, but will use your training regimen when out with your pup* Drop-in visits can include potty breaks, a quick play in the yard, medications (*dependent*), snacks, and belly rubs.

Rebecca was a fabulous cat-sitter. During our initial walk through, I knew instantly Tiny would be in very loving hands! Rebecca is incredibly reliable, communicative, kind, and it's obvious that she really loves pets. I will absolutely be reaching out to her again to look after Tiny next time I'm out of town!

Pongo was so happy with his care, Anandakrishnan and his partner are great with him and took him out for good walks and sent pictures and videos. They were very attentive to his schedule and needs as he is still recovering from neuter. I will trust care of Pongo to Anandakrishnan again!

I am so delighted to have come across Finn's profile and have them visit my three dogs. Finn has a very calming, patient energy. All my dogs were very interested in greeting Finn and enjoyed being in their presence :) I felt so comfortable having Finn in my home and can tell how much they know and understand different dogs' needs. I loved Finn's recommendations and questions; it made it clear how much they care and value what they do when caring for pets. Despite me telling my dogs to be on their best behaviour, one of my dogs had an accident inside the house during their visit, and Finn made me feel less embarrassed and also gave me a great idea for a potty pad. I was very nervous to meet a new person, but I very quickly felt that Finn is someone I could trust and feel safe with caring for my dogs and being in our home.

About: We've been looking after pets – both our own and our family and friends' – for as long as we can remember. We're both from Australia, but since May this year, we've been pet sitting our way around Canada while on working holiday visas. We've looked after energetic shepherds, packs of pooches, cats on medication, young pups and senior felines. With every pet, we learn (and love!) a little more. We're full-time pet sitters, and we can work with just about any schedule. Whether your pet needs a walk around the neighbourhood, a longer hike further afield, or just someone to give them their dinner and a bit of love. We are extremely reliable house sitters. Reviews on our THS profile routinely talk about how owners come home to happy and relaxed pets, and a very clean home (sometimes even cleaner than when they left!). We know the level of trust it takes to let a stranger into your home, and we are extremely respectful of that.

About: I have enjoyed caring for pets since I was a young child growing up with a cat. I appreciate the fresh air, exercise, and playfulness of caring for pets. I will be glad to do what it takes to meet the specific needs of your loved one(s)! I'm currently working remotely with a flexible schedule, so I am available to care for pets on basically any type of schedule. I am happy to work around your routine. Frequent sessions to play with or care for pets are fine! I'm living in 100 Mile House right now, but I'm looking to spend some time away in the upcoming season. I would come to you by long-distance bus, so I'm not able to do an in-person meet-and-greet. I'm happy to do a detailed call ahead of time to explore a possible fit. Safety is paramount :) When I walk dogs and cats, I double-wrap the leash around my wrist to keep a safe grip. I am careful to keep awareness of the pets' whereabouts at all times.

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Whitehorse on Rover is $28.31 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 15 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Whitehorse. About 100% of Whitehorse sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Whitehorse stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitehorse choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
