About: Hello there! My name is Trish, and I have a huge passion for dogs and just enjoy spending time with each and every one of them! I currently have one fur baby of my own, an Australian shepherd cross, Turbo! I’ve also trained as a pet groomer and at a doggy daycare for 6 months, so I can give your babies nail trims if needed. I’ve been around all breeds big and small. I have a passion for learning and understanding all types of animals, it’s always been an ambition of mine to work with animals. I am so beyond excited to meet so many new furry friends! I currently work from home and can be very flexible with my schedule, just send me a message and we can see if we can work something out!😊 I have my own transportation and I can come check on your babies anytime you need me and will treat them as my own ❤️

About: I have two high energy dogs of my own (Australian Shepherd and a German Shepherd) plus a cat. I grew up with only cats in the house until I was much older, and when I moved out on my own pets were not possible where I lived. I decided I needed to find somewhere to get the cuddles and pets in, so I decided to volunteer for the SPCA. While volunteering I regularly walked dogs, cleaned and fed both Cats and dogs, and enjoyed my time with as many individual animals as I could. Throughout the years I have fostered dogs, and volunteered with the Alberta Spray and Neuter task force. I have experience handling all sorts of breeds and their personalities. All my animals are my fur babies, and I understand how hard it can be when you need to leave your pet behind for work or travel. I strive to provide the best possible care for your animals like they are my own. I do work full time, remotely so the majority of my availability will be in the evenings and weekends. I do have some availability during the day, but please reach out if you are unsure, and I can accommodate where I can! I open to you and your pets needs! My animals are fully vaccinated, and if there is care at my house I offer a fully fenced yard with lots of toys. I love to walk and play with dogs, and want to make sure your routine is followed as best as possible to ensure your pets comfort and yours as well!

About: I take great care in the safety of all animals in my home as I am the proud owner of many pets of my own from cats and dogs to reptiles. Pets are my first priority and always make sure their needs are met in a safe manner. I spend most of the daylight hours walking along the nearby trail systems and taking my own pets to the lake or on long walk during the warmer months of the year. Pets in my care always come first and their safety is my top priority at all times. I am able to deal with most types of pets that range in all sizes. I am also more than happy to take care of all reptiles and other pets of all species, reptiles and other pets are negotiable in price.

About: I have a dog myself- blue heeler. My heeler is trained for obedience, and I work hard to ensure he has the best life possible. I love puppies and seniors alike. I have experience caring for both, my previous dog I cared for till he was 17. Or basic farm activities. I work shift work, the days I’m not on shift I’m available for the most part. I will update the schedule accordingly, or keep in touch. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Whitecourt on Rover is $19.98 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Whitecourt stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitecourt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
