“Cassidy is the kittens mittens! I have a cat who doesn't like anyone else but her mommy and daddy but after this first sitting we can now add Cassidy to her tiny list of humans she likes lol. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies.”

“Josie took excellent care of my cat while I was out of town for 7 days. My cat takes many different supplements and can be a bit stand offish with new sitters. Josie followed all my instructions and was in contact with me throughout her visits. I had installed two indoor cameras to watch my cat and used them to converse with Josie while I was away, I could see she really tried to get my cat to play and interact with her, even if my cat wasn't super interested in playing. I would recommend Josie to sit your fur babies and I'll be hiring her services again in future. Thanks Josie for caring for my baby! ?”

About: I am an outdoor-enthusiast and animal lover. I grew up with large dogs, cats, and rabbits, so I am confident around any type of furry friend. One of my favourite pastimes is going on adventures with my German Shepherd, Remi, whether that is hiking, swimming, or playing fetch. In rain, sunshine, or snow - I would love to provide the same fun experiences for your dogs! I have raised Remi since she was 8-weeks-old so I am also confident with rambunctious, teething puppies who haven’t quite figured out their training. Growing up around animals, I also have experience with dogs and cats who don’t understand personal space, and I would love to share in their love! My furbabies are my best friends, so I understand the importance of having a caretaker with experience, who you can trust, and I hope I can be that person for you! I am currently doing free-lance work so I have plenty of time in my schedule to spend with your furbabies, any day of the week! With a dog and cat of my own, I know animals are creatures of habit. I am happy to maintain their daily routines, as odd or specific as they may be, whether that involves their meal times, treat rules, specific diet guidelines, playtime, scooping litter for cats, or potty breaks for dogs (don’t worry I supply my own poop bags)! Most importantly, my number one priority is to maintain normalcy and keep your animals safe and comfortable.
“Paige did a great job of taking care of our dog and cat over the holidays. She provided updates and photos during every visit. I will definitely book her again and would highly recommend if you are looking for a pet sitter or dog walker.”

“Hayley did a perfect and professional job checking on my cats while I was gone for a few days. Followed all of my instructions perfectly and will definitely book with her again! Thank you Hayley”

Fantastic cat sitter! Savannah visited weekly to manage feeding, water, and litter. She always sent pictures and was even kind enough to handle an extra request while we were traveling. Professional, accommodating, and great with communication. I will definitely recommend her to anyone in need of pet care!

Stephanie did a wonderful job checking in on my cat! My cat warmed up to her pretty fast and Stephanie sent lots of updates and pictures while I was away. I had no concerns leaving him with her and will definitely be reaching out again when I’m out of town next.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
