About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have two dogs of my own who are very spoiled and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I treat every animal like they are part of my own family. My schedule is very flexible day to day, I’m a full time realtor that has a soft spot for pets, stoping in and checking on my own is a top priority throughout my days! I regularly walk dogs from the humane society so I am experienced in all types of dogs with all different behaviours. Respect is my biggest priority, allowing someone to enter your home to check in on your furry family member requires tons of trust, I respect that big time and always treat my clients homes and pets as my own.
“Danika must have super powers. My cat is very shy/scared and Danika had him cuddling in less than 20 mins. I knew my baby was in safe capable hands after that. She made sure my kitty had adequate snuggles and play time and took the cutest photos of him. I am actually still shocked that my cat wasn’t hiding for the week straight. She went above and beyond and brushed him too!! I came home to some adorable Polaroids of my baby as a gift it was so thoughtful. Thank you so much Danika!!!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have always had a special love for them. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities — from playful puppies full of energy to senior dogs who need extra patience and calm. I’m known for being responsible, attentive, and caring. I always follow each family’s routines, provide enjoyable walks, and make sure every pet feels safe and happy, just like at home. My priority is to create an environment of trust, love, and well-being. I strive to make every dog enjoy their time with me and keep open communication with owners, so they can feel confident knowing their furry friend is in good hands. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to adapt easily to each pet’s needs, giving them quality time, walks, play, and personalized attention. I truly enjoy spending time with animals—they bring me peace and happiness. I always strive to create a calm and loving environment where every pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy while in my care. The safety and comfort of every pet are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or at the owner’s home, I make sure they are in a calm, clean, and secure environment. I take time to understand each pet’s routine and personality to help them feel comfortable and keep their day as normal as possible. I’m careful with doors, leashes, and feeding schedules, and I always supervise outdoor time to ensure their well being. My goal is to create a peaceful and loving atmosphere where every pet feels cared for, respected, and happy while their owners are away.
About: Hey, I’m Jeremy! An animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and long-time pet caregiver. I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 and have experience with both cats and dogs since before I can remember. I currently have a cat who I’ve cared for over the past three years, and before moving out on my own, I helped take care of our family’s pets, including three wonderful dogs over the years. I was involved in all parts of their care: daily walks, playtime, feeding, and of course, the less glamorous tasks like picking up after them. I'm patient, dependable, and always aim to make animals feel safe and loved. When I’m not spending time with animals, I work full-time in administration and graphic design at a funeral home. I’m also an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, working with the Cadet Program. I work with youth aged 12 to 18 at the Sarnia Army Cadets, helping them build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor survival skills in a structured, military environment. I offer dog walking, play dates, house and pet sitting, and pet sitting in my own home. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and cared for. I’m also a photographer — so don’t be surprised if you get a few great shots of your furry friend during our time together! Whether it’s keeping your dog active or making sure your cat feels at home, I treat every pet like family. I can't wait to meet my new fur friend! I work full-time on a 3-week rotating schedule, but I always know my availability in advance. My weekends rotate like this: one weekend I work, the next is a long weekend (Friday to Monday off), and the third is a regular Saturday–Sunday off. I usually have one weekday off as well, which I can use for walks or pet visits. Most days, I’m also able to pop by during my lunch break—usually between 1:30 and 2:30—for a quick walk, play session, or check-in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space inside for pets to relax. I do have a cat, but she keeps to herself and tends to avoid other animals, so there’s very little interaction unless your pet is especially curious. I keep my home clean, pet-friendly, and free of any hazards. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or visiting yours, I always follow feeding routines, leash rules, and any specific instructions you leave. You’ll also get regular updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Elena was fantastic when looking after my mother's cat, Suzie, while she was away on holidays. I very much appreciated the videos, photos and reports every drop in visit. We could be assured Suzie was in great care. Elena was always prompt responding to messages. I definitely hire Elena again.”
“Repeat booking for our senior princess. Once again she was loved, snuggled, and attentively cared for. The daily updates make all the difference to know our girl is ok while we are away. Thank you, and see you next booking.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sarnia
This was my first time using a drop-in visit, and I was especially worried because my dad had recently passed away and it was the first time I would be away from my dogs for an extended period. Danica put me at ease by sending 11 photos and a detailed update about both Gracie and Stella. She clearly spent quality time with them, gave them treats as requested, made sure they had water, and paid attention to their individual personalities and habits. I appreciated that she noticed Gracie trying to eat grass and redirected her, and that she gave Stella the space to become comfortable in her own way. I was genuinely relieved and happy knowing my dogs were so well cared for while I couldn’t get home during my workday. I am happily booking Danica again.

Sebastian was amazing! Communicated very well. Super attentive to my rabbits needs. He even vacuumed up Bunnis' mess for me. He sent pictures of his litter box and food area, and some sweet pics of him getting his daily pets. I felt like I could trust him right away. Bunnis loves him which is a relief. I'm so happy to have found a reliable bun sitter. I have already booked him for my next trip. Highly reccomend him!

I had never used any type of pet service and was a bit apprehensive but Jessi was absolutely wonderful and made leaving much less stressful. Jessi's communication, flexibility and care for Sasha and Ellie went above and beyond my expectations. Jessi is the BEST!

Maria took care of our cat Smokey while we went on vacation for a week. She did a fantastic job as evident by the pictures, the cleanliness of the litter box, the floor around it, his dishes and how he seemed when we got home. We will definitely rebook her in future if she is available. The Kirkbrides
Angie and her husband Roger along with their daughter were with my beagles Hyder and Abbi for 2 visits per day. My dogs were very happy when I got home so that tells me they were well looked after! Thank you!!! I combined a tip for all three visiting days. Thank you again. ❤️

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sarnia choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
