About: Hi there, My name is Natalie and I live with my partner Jesse, our 12 year old pug Bernie and our 4 year old Terrier mix, Lucy. We are huge dog lovers and often spend our weekends going for long walks and volunteering for a local animal rescue. We would treat your pet like our own while they are in our care. Please note we require a meet and greet first before agreeing to take care of your dog. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to hear from you! Natalie Every day we make sure our two dogs are cared for and happy. Our joy and purpose comes from seeing them living their best lives. Safety and lost dog prevention always comes first. It is so important that a dog is secure and never given the opportunity to be in harms way.
About: Hi, I’m Christina! I’ve always had a big heart for animals and love spending my time caring for them. I have hands-on experience with many dog breeds, sizes, and personalities as a volunteer dog walked for the Owen Sound Animal Shelter. I understand that every pet has their own unique needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure each dog feels safe, loved, and cared for like they’re my own. Your pup’s comfort and happiness are always my top priority, whether it’s a long walk, a cozy cuddle, or sticking to their routine. I’d love the chance to meet your pet and give them the care and attention they deserve I’m currently operating before and after school childcare. I’m available to walk or care for your pup however that may look for you between 9am-3pm. The care and service will be directed to your pups needs and wants whether that an adventurous or relaxing walk or even playing in your yard.
“Lydia is very reliable and took great care of my cats. She really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Communication was smooth and easy throughout. I hope Lydia will continue doing this work — I would definitely book her again in the future and highly recommend her!”

Tiffany was great! It usually takes our dog a while to warm up to new people, but he became buds with Tiffany right away. Dogs are a good judge of character, and he trusts her after just one visit. It makes us feel so much better knowing that our boy is in good hands while we’re away. Thank you Tiffany!

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Owen Sound choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
