Kayla took great care of my doggies when I was gone overnight. They were fed, watered and walked. Photo updates were provided as well which helped put me at ease that my dogs were in good hands. Kayla seems very kind.

Lydia is very reliable and took great care of my cats. She really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Communication was smooth and easy throughout. This job requires a lot of love, and luckily she has it. My lovely cats were calm and well when I got back, which really shows how well she cared for them. I hope Lydia will continue doing this work — I would definitely book her again in the future and highly recommend her!

About: Hi, I’m Christina! I’ve always had a big heart for animals and love spending my time caring for them. I have hands-on experience with many dog breeds, sizes, and personalities as a volunteer dog walked for the Owen Sound Animal Shelter. I understand that every pet has their own unique needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure each dog feels safe, loved, and cared for like they’re my own. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive — and I know how important it is for pet parents to have peace of mind while they’re away. Your pup’s comfort and happiness are always my top priority, whether it’s a long walk, a cozy cuddle, or sticking to their routine. I’d love the chance to meet your pet and give them the care and attention they deserve I’m currently operating before and after school childcare. I’m available to walk or care for your pup however that may look for you between 9am-3pm. The care and service will be directed to your pups needs and wants whether that an adventurous or relaxing walk or even playing in your yard.

About: I have had animals in my household all my life, I have had a dog since the age of 12! I have always been that person when friends and family who are in a pickle with animals to care for them! I am responsible yet caring and loving towards all animals. I work 5 days a week right now but they are part time hours so I have lots of time for your furbabies! Stormy and I are always down at the dog park everyday regardless of weather! I know that routine is very important to animals! I have a partially fenced back yard which is about 0.7 acres large! I have two friendly dogs who will keep your best friend company. My lab is nearly 11 and she doesn’t play as much as my husky mix who is just over a year and is very playful! If needed I do have an extra crate as well!

About: I have loved and cared for animals with empathy since I was a child. I was always very drawn to animals, and felt a strong connection with them. Whatever you need, I would be thrilled to meet, and care for your fur babies. I do have a full time job but I've just been off with an injury so im home all day and I have lots of free time to take care of your fur babies. Walks, visits, house drop ins, doggie day care. About: Hi, I’m Ella! I have 5 years of hands-on pet care experience ranging from small, fluffy companions to large, energetic dogs and gentle seniors.I am the proud owner of a 3-year-old Maltipoo, so I am very comfortable with daily routines like feeding, walking, regular brushing, bathing, and even teeth cleaning! Recently, I’ve also looked after a diverse pack of three dogs together—including two large 4-year-old brothers and a sweet 10-year-old senior. This taught me how to balance different energy levels and make sure every dog gets the exact care, exercise, and attention they need. I am fully available all day on weekends and during weekday evenings (after 5:00 PM / 8:00 PM). I have reliable transportation during these hours, making me the perfect fit for your weekend trips, dinner-time feedings, or late-night check-ins! My Personal Pet Care Philosophy:I provide comprehensive, attentive care tailored to each pet's unique routine. For my own companion, this includes structured 30-minute daily walks, engaging indoor games for mental stimulation, regular feeding schedules, and essential hygiene maintenance like bathing and oral care. Above all, I prioritize deep companionship and plenty of affection so pets always feel safe and loved. My Approach to Client Care:When managing multiple pets, I excel at diversifying my attention to meet every animal's individual personality and age-related needs. I actively engage and burn off energy with high-strung dogs, provide a calm and reassuring presence for relaxed pets, and deliver the gentle, patient care required for seniors. No matter the pack dynamic, I ensure every pet receives their proper meals, routine care, and focused individual attention.

I can help with feeding, walks, companionship, plant care, mail/package collection and any other everyday household needs while you’re away. I’m attentive to details, comfortable following care instructions and careful about monitoring changes in behaviour, appetite, energy, mobility or comfort. I also offer a complimentary meet-and-greet before the first booking so I can get to know your pets, their routines, their care needs and any important details ahead of time. My goal is to give owners peace of mind while making sure their pets feel safe, cared for and settled at home! I am self-employed, so I have flexible availability and pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available seven days a week and structure my time around each pet’s regular schedule. Before a booking, I like to review care instructions, health needs, emergency contacts, vet information, home access details and any household routines. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, food, medications and anything that could affect a pet’s safety. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things tidy, collecting mail/packages, caring for plants and following household instructions.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve had them since I was young and have spent the last 12 years caring for others’ pets as well. I recently lost my beloved French Bulldog, who required a lot of dedicated care, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and at ease. Because I’m completing my Master’s degree from home, I have a flexible and adaptable schedule. This allows me to be available during the day for walks, feedings, and ongoing supervision, ensuring pets receive consistent, attentive care rather than being left alone for long periods. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I know how important routine and a calm environment are, so I do my best to keep things consistent with what they’re used to—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or just how they like to relax. I’m very mindful about safety in the home and always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable. I also keep communication open so you always know how your pet is doing. These things were so important to me with my own dog.

There are 95 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Owen Sound. About 76% of Owen Sound sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Owen Sound stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Owen Sound choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
