About: I've managed boarding facilities for dogs, cats, birds etc. I have also worked/work in grooming and vet clinics. I love what I do and specialize in neonatal care. I am a groomer who works on my own schedule, so can mold it to anything. I also own a dog boarding facility where the dogs come to us and stay in a kennel. That is separate from my rover duties. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly dog. We also have a dog kennel facility on the property. In people's homes, I would cater to the owners preferance.

About: I provide dependable in-home pet and house sitting for dogs, cats and small or exotic pets, with an emphasis on keeping them happy and settled in their own environment and schedule. I can help with feeding, walks, companionship, plant care, mail/package collection and any other everyday household needs while you’re away. I also have experience caring for animals with medical needs, senior pets, and pets who need a little extra support. This includes pets who are blind, have hearing loss, require oral medication, insulin, allergy care and heart medication. I’m attentive to details, comfortable following care instructions and careful about monitoring changes in behaviour, appetite, energy, mobility or comfort. I also offer a complimentary meet-and-greet before the first booking so I can get to know your pets, their routines, their care needs and any important details ahead of time. My goal is to give owners peace of mind while making sure their pets feel safe, cared for and settled at home! I am self-employed, so I have flexible availability and pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available seven days a week and structure my time around each pet’s regular schedule. My goal is to keep pets comfortable in their own home and regular routine while giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. I provide care in the client’s home, so my focus is on keeping pets safe, comfortable and settled in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible including feeding, walks, medication, litter care, playtime, companionship, and bedtime routines. Before a booking, I like to review care instructions, health needs, emergency contacts, vet information, home access details and any household routines. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, food, medications and anything that could affect a pet’s safety. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things tidy, collecting mail/packages, caring for plants and following household instructions.

About: As most people on here, I'm one of those people who loves getting to know the non-verbal communication between humans and animals. They say so much with body language and their eyes, ears, tails and mouths. I think it's amazing. My goal is to get that light out of them. The light in their eyes. I want them to feel confident and protected. And, want them to know if they want fun, I'm in too. I have a 15 year old rescue Border-Collie Beagle mix with my partner. I helped her personality come out through trust, learning new things and building her confident in me so she could trust the world more too. I started working with her in 2021. Rosie is my partner's dog. She's 12. She used to be reactive. I was able to build her confidence. She did have a lot of stuggles and works a lot together. Now she isn't reactive. She has many eye drops and arthristis things to deal with. Our focus with her is to keep her experiences hapoy and diverse. In September 2023 to April 2024 I was helping out a professional dog walker. We did pack integration, reactive or skiddish dog integration and confidence building work. And we did fun dog park runs. I worked with him with his clients dogs, and I also had him teach me specific fearful dog training by working with my mother's dog who would cowar and bark exsessively at anyone that wasn't her parents. She is now confident off-leash woth my dogs and listens to come commands. She is also able to go to the dog park and run her zoomies. Something she didn't have the confidence to do before especially with non-mommy and daddy around. Lastly, my ex and I had a Toy Australian Shephard together. I helped for the first few months on puppy care once every 3 weeks for a week. (We were in different countries). And then I was with her all daytime by myself for 4-5 months straight. We did crate training, poaitive reinforcement, and so many games, tricks, and learnjng to keep that mind going. Positive reinforcement is my go-to. It isn't helpful with all dogs however. My positibe reinforcement is my starting point because it can built trust with enjoy fastest. I work from home. Leica is a rescue dog, and my home is her "place." She stays with my partner when I am dog-sitting. I prefer to spend multiple days with the pups I care for because it allows us to form a genuine relationship, rather than something superficial. It can be stressful for animals when their owners disappear. I appreciate having the flexibility for at-home support since I have the freedom to work my own hours while supporting small businesses and the tech industry. For my dog, she gets fed as soon as I wake up and then at 5 PM every day. The timing is important because she is restricted from food, and it stresses her out not knowing when to expect meals, so I maintain a consistent schedule. We walk twice a day for between 20 and 60 minutes each time. She has a couple of designated spots that are "hers only" because the Boston Terrier tends to bully the bigger dog (Leica), so we have established a few firm rules regarding the beds. Leica is uninterested in chewing many things. Her preference is for food items, and we take extra care to provide edible bones that are soft enough not to hurt her teeth. Additionally, I spend a considerable amount of time ensuring that the treats and food she receives do not harm her teeth or negatively impact her digestion. Since she has had pancreatitis, I also monitor the fat content of her treats and food closely. We engage in enrichment activities like hiding kibbles in towels, using puzzle toys, and teaching tricks. We have a few buttons that allow for communication, and we try various activities to keep the Border Collie’s mind engaged and the Beagle stimulated. For other dogs, I make an effort to learn from their parents about their favorite toys to figure out how to best play with them. If possible, I take them to an enclosed off-leash area to play chase, which helps gauge their comfort level with me and allows me to encourage their playful instincts. Building trust is essential. I also observe if they are ready to take treats from me, and I incorporate tricks to enhance our interactions. For pups that are more fearful, this provides valuable insight into their comfort zone and how much space they need. Beyond that, maintaining consistent feeding times, regular walks, and the type of play they enjoy will always form my foundation for care. For cats, I like to learn from the owner a bit about the cat's personality. Some cats may be affectionate one moment and then switch to distain and attacking the next, while others can be very cuddly. During housesitting, my goal is to ensure that the cat is happy with someone there to care for their food and general needs. If they want anything else, such as string toys or catnip play, I’m happy to provide that, given that the owners are okay with it.

About: Happy to walk a dog or two. I usually have my kids and dog in tow on walks, but am flexible if that’s not ideal. Our 12yo dog Kutsu (medium sized border collie mix from Japan) is great with other dogs and loves to run, play and explore. He mostly just keeps to himself though and avoids conflict. I am a full time mom looking for extra cash and love dogs, and so do the kids of course. The kids are so far very gentle with our dog and other dogs we’ve had here. We aren’t hosting at this time but will again soon! We're more than happy to accommodate any special needs. We are well-versed in the cone of shame, allergies, and giving medications. I used to be a nurse so learning on the job is my specialty. We believe in positive reinforcement training and have used an e-collar in the past until it wasn’t necessary anymore. Please feel free to talk to us more about how we can support you and your best friend! I am a stay at home mom so I make my own schedule and am very flexible. I am good with last-minute or planned visits. All depends on the needs of the dog. If they like to be left alone, cool. If they need meds, cool. If they need walks all day, cool. We can accomodate!

About: Growing up we constantly had many different pets. May it be cats, dogs, birds or even fish. I love animals and the joy they bring, so as soon as I got my license I started a successful pet sitting business back home. Now that I have moved to Port Hope, I am looking to start back providing care and assistance to my fellow neighbors and their beloved animals. I am extremely patient and kind. I love all animals and if I am not familiar with a particular care process, I am happy to learn. I look forward to being able to provide my services to anyone who needs it. I do currently work 8.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday but my work is on a hybrid model and I live close to work. I am willing to come and help before work, after work and even on my lunch breaks if needed. My weekends are very open and flexible as well. I currently rent and have 2 cats, so taking care of your pet in my home is possible but restricted. While taking care of pets in their home. I will abide by all house rules. I will visit your home and provide a minimum of 3 walks a day for drop ins, if I am housesitting then more care will be provided. I will also brush your pets and if you wish more grooming services, this can always be discussed.
