Your dog will be treated as well as each of my dogs were and as my current dog is. I love walking and will make sure your dog is exercised as they like. I walk daily and will walk as often as the dog requires! In my home, they will be loved, protected & fed! I will play with your dog, offering mental stimulation as well as physical exercise.

About: I have 14+ years with pets of all kinds, most of my experience comes from having family pets growing up, pet sitting friends and other peoples pets (and kids), and my highschool job at PetSmart (3 years). I’ve dog sat for people before and frequently help watch my friends pets and my family cavalier spaniels when my parents are away. I have experience with all sorts of small pets (hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, etc.), reptiles (tree frogs, bearded dragons, geckos, etc.), fish (fresh water and saltwater), and of course cats and dogs! I am comfortable around all breeds, cat or dog, and I don’t believe in bully breeds. I love cuddle time! I love to sit in bed or on the couch with my furry friends all around me! I also love to play fetch with other people’s dogs (or cats), since my own dogs never seemed to grasp the concept of “bring the toy back”.

I spent 10 years owning and operating a dog boarding and daycare facility, where I cared for everything from energetic puppies to seniors with special needs. I’m also an experienced positive reinforcement dog trainer, having taught puppy classes, basic obedience, and agility. Before opening my facility, I worked as a dog walker throughout university, and I was raised by two veterinarians—so I’ve truly grown up with this work. I have a large, secure fenced in yard, plenty of space to play, and quiet areas for rest. I have many opportunities throughout the day to allow for free play outside, and lots of dog beds (couches if they're allowed!) throughout the house. I am available for overnight boarding on weekdays and weekends, including holidays. I have a large 1/4 acre fully fenced yard and my own two small dogs, both around 10 pounds, both female (spayed). There is a doggy door to the yard for full and free access to the fenced yard if your dog is able to use the doggy door, if not I have a sliding patio door and man door to let them in and out. My dogs are allowed on the couch and bed, yours will be too, unless you prefer they aren't allowed for manners training! My home is puppy proofed (my one dog is a 6 month old puppy), so everything is out of reach and puppy safe. I have 2 sphynx cats as well that love dogs, and the cat litter is behind gates and out of reach for dogs. I have two children, ages 10 and 12. They have grown up with many dogs and cats, we had a busy dog boarding kennel for their entire childhood until we sold it a few years ago.

About: I run a private pet sitting business outside of Rover. I don’t have many ratings on here because most of my business comes from people who know me, and word of mouth. I’m happy to provide references. I recently lost my 14.5 year old husky and I loved him more than anything in the world. :( Animals are so special and they deserve the best care. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs. I left my life and job in Toronto just to move my dog back home to the farm where he was the happiest, and I’ve spent the last 5 months just taking care of him. Your pet won’t just receive mediocre care with me, they will receive the BEST care! There is lots of space for them to run around outdoors and beautiful trails for us to walk, but I will of course keep them on a leash unless otherwise specified by the owner. I understand the anxiety of leaving your precious pet with a stranger. I am an overprotective animal parent, and all your requests will be adhered to. Your pet will never be left unattended. They will be cared for the entire time. The fear of something happening to your pet while you’re away is everyone’s worst nightmare, but rest assured , I am aware of signs to look for in an emergency. I will contact you right away, and will have no issues taking them for immediate care. Your pet will be in the best hands possible, I can assure you of that :) I am currently not working due to the loss of my pet, so all of my time will be dedicated to your pet. :) I will be starting to work every other weekend at the end of March, but other than that, I am open. I will only do drop in visits, or walking in London, because I go there often, or within 15 minutes of where I live, unless you are ok with paying extra for gas. I couldn’t adjust my settings to accommodate this unfortunately. I think I covered most of this in my pet care experience paragraph, but I live on a big farm. I have a decent sized dog crate here if needed/preferred, but I’m happy to have your pet inside with me, or to visit your home. I put a $50 drop off/pick up fee, as I wasn’t sure what the distance would be, but I am open to discussing rates for this depending on distance.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, from the moment I was born. Over the years, my family has shared our home with Shih Tzus, German Shepherds, and Shepherd Collies. Today, I have my own Border Collie–Lab mix named Finn, who is truly part of the family—and I’ll treat your dog with the same love and care. We have one silly cat, and they shed a lot but we wouldn't change it for the world! I work from home and it's quite a flexible position so I am available for midday feedings or walks, as well as in the evenings. I have a fenced yard where our dogs can run around together. I have no problem with dogs who like to be on the furniture, they're family too. If you'd like your dog crated, we have a spare bedroom and would ask that you drop off all necessary items to do so.
