“Cindy and her family took excellent care of our dog for an overnight stay. Cindy is very responsive and reliable and we felt very comfortable through the whole process even as first-time Rover users. We will happily seek out Cindy’s services again.”

“Carey was amazing with my dog Blue. I highly recommend and will definitely be booking with her again in the future. She provided me with photo updates of my dog throughout his stay and he looked happy as ever. 5 stars!”

“Our energetic pup, Louie, was well taken care of and well loved during his stay with Charlanne. Charlanne is an excellent communicator and kept us up to date during Louie’s stay and provided lots of pictures and videos. Charlanne went above and beyond and had paths in the deep snow in her yard so Louie could have a safe place to run and play. Highly recommend and have booked Louie’s second stay!”

“Tom and his family were GREAT! They accommodated my late boarding request and frequently sent me pictures of my boys having fun while I was away. My one dog is OUT with exhaustion from having so much fun all weekend! They can't wait to visit again!”

“Ryan and Abby did an incredible job looking after our two dogs, Dodge (an elderly and anxious Beagle) and Lou. From the very beginning, they communicated really well and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our dogs and treated them with the same love and attention that we do. Thanks to them, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our time away, knowing our dogs were in such caring hands. We highly recommend Ryan and Abby to anyone looking for thoughtful, attentive dog sitters.”

About: Hi! I’m Tina. I grew up on a farm so I’ve taken care of plenty of dogs and animals. I have one Great Dane of my own that loves making friends and gets along with all dogs she meets. We’ll devote our attention to your furry family member and make sure they’re safe and have a great time while you’re away! I’m home full time, so have lots of time to play with the pups. The longest time your pup would be without my attention is three hours, specifically on Sunday mornings. I don’t have a yard, however we go on a minimum of two walks per day so your pup will get plenty of exercise and stimulation.

“Hi Dallas and your wonderful son. Lilly is very happy and content to be home. We can tell that Lilly was so very well taken care of. Thanks again Lilly Perry and Kathy.”

“Ziggy had the most wonderful time at Deborah's. He came home with his own Christmas gift. He was showing it off to us. Deborah checked with us to see if Ziggy could share their Christmas meal (Turkey) and we are sure he would have enjoyed his lovely Christmas vacation. We got frequent updates. Ziggy got to visit the dog park frequently and play with his newfound friend Ellie. We will definitely book again with Deborah and we highly recommend her.”

About: My wife and I have been fostering dogs and cats from the Humane Society and other rescues for 5 years, in addition to being pet owners ourselves. We have specifically taken on animals with health complications in need of special care, e.g. medication, physiotherapy, pregnancy, etc. As a bonus, my wife is a dog groomer with a salon attached to our home, so if your pet needs some sprucing up, we can help with that, too! Both my wife and I work from home and I am currently on leave from work, so I have lots of extra time to devote to your pet 🙂 We have a large, fenced yard that provides ample space for play. We currently own two cats (Mouse and Graham), two budgies (Nigel and Fergus), and one fish (Oscar). The cats are used to foster pets (about 60 cats and dogs over the past 5 years) coming in and out on a regular basis and the birds are up nice and high.

About: I've been looking after animals all my life, and currently have 5 in my house, 3 dogs and 2 cats. I often feel happier when amongst my four-legged friends than my two-legged ones. I work from home with a flexible schedule that I set myself. I am able to provide care at all hours of the day; I always take comfort in knowing my babies are taken care of, I'm sure you do too. I have a 1 year old lab puppy who is immensely friendly amongst people and dogs if you would like your dog to be socialized. My dogs all get at least two walks per day, as well as free run in my fenced in backyard. I also try to play with my own dogs as much possible to increase mental stimulation. I will always treat a clients dog as one of my own, anything I would do for them I would be willing to do for yours.

“So glad we found Tori! Our dog River liked her instantly and it was obvious she's a dog lover. She was very responsive and super flexible with pick up time. Tori sent us a video of our dog playing well with hers, just after drop off, which really eased my dog mom-guilt (first time leaving her for an extended time with someone new)! I really appreciated that. River came home happy and tired and we will book with Tori again for sure!”

“Charlie had his first stay with Donna last weekend. He had a fantastic time playing with Lucy, Donna’s dog. I got updates on how he’s doing as I asked for them and I could tell that Donna sincerely cared about him and wanted him to feel at home. He adored her daughter too and was her constant companion. Charlie will definitely be back!”

“Paula and her lovely son Liam did a wonderful job of looking after my 13 year old lab Molly. Molly is blind and takes a little bit of extra special care but I felt great leaving her with Paula. Communications to set up the appointment were great and Paula kept me up to date on how things were going during the day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paula as a dog sitter.”

About: Hi, I’m Jenny! Caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had dogs or cats by my side, and providing them with love and care has been second nature to me. Animals seem to feel safe and comfortable around me, which I consider a true honor. Although I’m new to Rover, I was encouraged to join and knew it would be a great fit for my schedule. As a stay-at-home mom, I have plenty of time and space to care for your fur baby in a loving and safe environment. I also have a sweet and gentle British Shorthair cat who is very easygoing and doesn’t mind dogs. He’s spoiled with all the best toys, scratch posts, and cat trees—and I promise to extend the same level of love and care to your pet. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and make them feel right at home! My schedule is very flexible as both my partner and I are home during the day and evenings. I am currently a stay at home mom to a 4 year old who is starting school in September which will extended my availability even further! I care for my pets similar to how I care for my child. They’re spoiled with love and all of the best food, treats and toys. We make sure our cat Fonzy is very happy and comfortable. He has many cozy sleeping spaces, tons of toys, cat trees and scratching posts! He gets the best quality good, and kitty litter. He’s apart of our family and knows nothing but comfort, love and fun.

“Thanks, Kayla! Sorry our dinner went longer than planned. Our pleasure to meet you, and we will call on you for future occasions. The Boys were delighted with your supervision.?”

About: I was raised with two dogs with my family so far, and right now my family has two dogs. I used to have my very first pet ever, a black cat and his name is Lucky. My mom has a mixed breed dog, a cross between a beagle and a basset hound and his name is Rosco. And my older brother has a dog with a pure basset hound and his name is Dexter. I have loved them so much like they are my own. I always take them out for walk all the time but I'd love to do much more but they have their own limitation. I'd love to spend a lot of my free time with your furry babies. If you would like to get know me better, you're always welcome to contact me! I’m currently working part-time so I have a lot of time to take care of babies when you need support! I’m willing to house sit or provide walking exercises during the week. It’s important to let me know at least 2 weeks in advance if you need to look for babysitter available during overnight visits. I can easily crate your babies if needed they would be alone for awhile. I always make sure to check on then to make sure if they need anything!

About: I run a private pet sitting business outside of Rover. I don’t have many ratings on here because most of my business comes from people who know me, and word of mouth. I’m happy to provide references. I recently lost my 14.5 year old husky and I loved him more than anything in the world. :( Animals are so special and they deserve the best care. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs. I left my life and job in Toronto just to move my dog back home to the farm where he was the happiest, and I’ve spent the last 5 months just taking care of him. Your pet won’t just receive mediocre care with me, they will receive the BEST care! There is lots of space for them to run around outdoors and beautiful trails for us to walk, but I will of course keep them on a leash unless otherwise specified by the owner. I understand the anxiety of leaving your precious pet with a stranger. I am an overprotective animal parent, and all your requests will be adhered to. Your pet will never be left unattended. They will be cared for the entire time. The fear of something happening to your pet while you’re away is everyone’s worst nightmare, but rest assured , I am aware of signs to look for in an emergency. I will contact you right away, and will have no issues taking them for immediate care. Your pet will be in the best hands possible, I can assure you of that :) I am currently not working due to the loss of my pet, so all of my time will be dedicated to your pet. :) I will be starting to work every other weekend at the end of March, but other than that, I am open. I will only do drop in visits, or walking in London, because I go there often, or within 15 minutes of where I live, unless you are ok with paying extra for gas. I couldn’t adjust my settings to accommodate this unfortunately. I think I covered most of this in my pet care experience paragraph, but I live on a big farm. I have a decent sized dog crate here if needed/preferred, but I’m happy to have your pet inside with me, or to visit your home. I put a $50 drop off/pick up fee, as I wasn’t sure what the distance would be, but I am open to discussing rates for this depending on distance.

“We had our Jack Russell, Penny, stay with Tricia for three days and couldn't be happier with her services! Upon arrival, she took the time to ask lots of great questions and encouraged me to stay to help Penny aclimitize to her home. During her stay, Tricia shared regular updates, pictures and even videos of her time with Penny which definetly put us at ease and helped us enjoy our time away knowing she was in good hands. I can't recommend Tricia highly enough. Will definitely use her services again!”

14. Jennifer B.
“As Jennifer’s mother, I can proudly say that she has had a big heart for all animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, she was always the one rescuing stray cats, nursing injured birds and squirrels back to health, and showing endless compassion to every animal she encountered. She took on a significant role in caring for our family pets-whether it was walking, training, feeding, or cleaning. Now, as an adult, she has her own pets, and they are treated like family. Her natural ability to connect with animals is truly impressive; they always seem to feel comfortable and trust her quickly. I’ve witnessed firsthand how her love for animals has shaped her into a kind, empathetic, and driven person who genuinely wants to make a difference in their lives. I couldn’t be more confident in her ability to care for animals or be more proud of the warm, compassionate person she is. Thank you, Kimberley James”

16. Sally S.
“It is easy to say great things about Sally because by nature she has a loving and compassionate heart! She is also honest and reliable. She always seeks to understand people and animals because she wants to make sure that everyone is happy and feels welcome. I remember when I saw her take care of Charlie, an adorable poodle. She cared for that dog as if it were her own child. She also cared for her friend's beta fish. She had the same amount of compassion for that little fish as she did for the dog. For both animal sitting jobs, she made sure to ask questions, researched about animal care to assure that the animals would be happy and safe under her charge. I have no doubt that Sally will love your furry family member!”
