“Bibiana was an absolutely fantastic dog-sitter for Beckett. We got updates multiple times a day, he seemed to fit in beautifully at their place, and had access to a backyard, plenty of walks, and clearly loads of attention at their home. I would highly recommend Bibiana, and I know that Beckett is looking forward to seeing her again soon!”

“Anna and family are kindhearted and trustworthy caregivers. We met Anna for a meet and greet, and arranged one day of daycare, before leaving our 1-year-old poodle in her care for a week. Our pup had a wonderful holiday boarding with Anna and we enjoyed our trip knowing she was in great hands! Anna was very responsive when communicating and sent photos and messages throughout the stay. Anna is so kind and calm, which made us feel very much at ease. We'll absolutely be asking for Anna again next time we're away.”

“Thanks so much again Pam for taking care of Lambros during our vacay. Even buying him boots so you could walk him and also using your baby boy's diaper when Lambros diaper was all consumed. Thank you for all the love for Lambros! We really appreciate it!”

“My pup was super well taken care of and loved like he was their own, and Zeus is in love with them. Definitely recommend this petsitter as a first choice. I will be leaving my fur baby with them again!”

“Birch took fantastic care of our dog! It was easy to organize a meet and greet, and she was ready at the organized times. She was thoughtful in her care, taking our dog for lots of walks and giving treats. She also very considerately sewed our dog bed. I would highly recommend her!”

“Karen took such great care of my cat Molly while I was away! Molly is very shy and nervous in new environments, but Karen was extremely patient with her and followed all of my care instructions carefully, including her feeding routine and litter care. She also spent time brushing, petting, and playing with Molly, which I really appreciated. Karen sent me daily photo and video updates, which made me feel very reassured and relaxed during my trip. It was clear that Molly was being well cared for and becoming more comfortable each day. I would definitely book with Karen again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter!”

“I’m incredibly grateful to the wonderful family who cared for my cat while I was away for a month. They treated her like she was their own, giving her so much love, attention, and comfort. I was especially happy knowing she had other cats to keep her company — and it was such a relief to hear that she got along well with them! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in a safe, loving home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely caring to look after their pet. Thank you again for taking such great care of my fur baby!”

About: Hello everyone! I recently moved to Winnipeg from Italy with my boyfriend and our beloved dog. I've already worked as a dog sitter in Italy and I can't wait to meet your pups here in Canada! My English isn't perfect yet, and I'm studying it diligently every day, but don't worry: the language of the heart and cuddles is universal! I guarantee that every instruction, need, or specific request for your dog will be listened to with the utmost attention and precision. Having a dog myself, I know exactly what it means to love them as family. I will treat your furry little ones with the same dedication, patience, and love I give my own. I'm improving my English, but I'm a very precise person and will use translation tools to ensure | follow all your instructions perfectly.❤️ Your dog will feel very stimulated at my house and will definitely have company, as he can play with my dog, who is very friendly with everyone. I also have a small balcony, so when the weather is nice, we could even sit outside for a bit. I'll let him play. It's also part of my building, and there's a small dog park, so we could easily go down and play a bit there. I also have a kennel and some toys for my dog at home, so everything is already set up to make him feel at home too.❤️ My home is a welcoming place. My apartment is pet-friendly. Pets are more than welcome, and I will, of course, give your pet the utmost attention.
“Mary Anne was absolutely amazing with Ollie. We felt very good knowing our “baby” was in her hands. She sent us pictures and comments about Ollie’s activities daily. When we left Ollie, he was a bit scared of the new space, and didn’t want to eat much. Mary Anne was so accommodating when we asked her to boil ann egg for him. With that she won him for the rest of the stay 😄. She even spoiled him, letting him sleep with her! We are planning our next trip and we already booked her again!”

“My dog stayed for 5 days and got groomed. She sent me videos and pictures daily and he seemed super happy with her golden retriever and kids. Will definitely leave him with her again! Thank you!”

“Amanda and her two kids took fantastic care of our 4 year old Maltipoo. Right from the time of booking I felt good about leaving our pup with them. We have a very anxious dog who is super nervous and I truly felt like he couldn’t really be in a better space if we had to leave him with someone ☺️ We got daily updates and pictures of his stay which gave us even more reassurance that he was in great care. Highly recommend Amanda and we would definitely rebook when we are back in Winnipeg!”

About: I have fostered cats and kittens, dogs and puppies for 2.5 years. I am very familiar with medications, illness, treating wounds, and helping scared animals. I work from home 3 days a week so someone is always home to keep your pet company! I would treat your pet like our pets. I have a GIANT fenced back yard that our dog is free to play in. Rocco wants to be friends with everybody and every dog he meets so your pet would have a playmate. If that’s too much, I can also keep them apart or kennel if that’s what they prefer! We also have a separate sunroom that can is great if your pet prefers some space.
“Erin was amazing. She provided lots of updates and made sure to communicate with me or ask questions if needed. She provided lots of exercise and mental stimulation as well. Was super accommodating, polite and just overall a pleasure. My pup had a great time and I would 100% book her again.”

“Very responsible and accommodating! Polina provided the best care of my cat while I was away for 7 days. Her place is spacious and safe for a cat. She sent me daily updates with photos and videos, and I was able to communicate with her easily if I have questions. I would recommend Polina to anyone looking for boarding and I definitely would have her look after my cat in the future.”

“Camila was amazing. She gave updates daily on how Zeus was doing. She went above and beyond for my little guy, who can be a handful. He can be anxious when he’s not home/with me and she made sure he was as comfortable as she could!”

“Rosa was amazing with Sammy. I cannot thank you enough for making this easy for me and my family. It was my first time having my baby left with anyone other than family so I was very nervous but they were amazing with her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
