“Selina and Pascal were absolutely amazing with Piper! I could not have asked for better sitters for my anxious but very sweet and cuddly girl. Hoping to book again!”

“We had such a wonderful experience! Stephanie was incredibly understanding of our dog’s nervous nature and took the time to make him feel comfortable and safe. It was clear he was well cared for and truly felt at home. We felt completely at ease leaving him in her care, which means everything to us. We’re so grateful for the love and attention she gave him and will absolutely be using her services again. Highly recommend!”

“Mélina is awesome. She was a life saver for us when we wanted to board our little boy for a night and had to book at the last minute. She accommodated our request graciously and took excellent care of Cooper. It was Cooper's first time away from us and he felt at home with Mélina. She kept updating us regularly with pics. I cannot recommend her enough and would not hesitate to reach out to her again. Knowing our little boy was in good hands gave us all the peace of mind we needed during our trip.”

“We recently reached out to Ashley to care for our dog Marley and explained his separation anxiety. She was incredibly kind and accommodating to his needs right from the start. Ashley kept us updated while we were away and sent photos where we could clearly see Marley was happy and having lots of fun. That peace of mind means everything when you are leaving your dog with someone new. We will absolutely be reaching out to Ashley again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

“Mylo had a fabulous time with Bridget and felt right at home. Bridget let us know how Mylo was doing during his stay with photos and a video of his antics. Thank you Bridget for taking such good care of Mylo.”

“Here's a polished version of your review: My experience with Britanie was excellent. She took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay by sending pictures and messages. I really appreciated her communication and attention to detail. She was also very flexible with both pick-up and drop-off times, which made everything convenient and stress-free. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Hannah took such great care of our pup. We recieved many many happy puppy photos during our week's vacation. And she even sent our girl home with a toy that she had taken a shine to and an extra special treat. A true dog lover who will spoil your dog with exercise and snuggles. Thanks Hannah!”

“Jessica and Tyler were incredible with Chester. Jessica sent plenty of updates, showing just how spoiled he was. I would recommend Jessica without hesitation. We have one exhausted puppy, which tells me just how happy he was and how much he enjoyed himself.”

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting most likely in the fall of 2026. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I live alone, and do not have obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (MonThurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing (even when sniffing the ground), making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!
“Nothing but good things to say! Justyne was awesome with our dog and sent news and pictures regularly to let us know all was well. It was very reassuring and lovely to have her take care of Mika!!”

“Raquel lovingly cared for our dog Bella for ten days! She frequently sent us photos and videos showing us that she was very happy, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. I recommend her 100% to leave your dogs in a safe place. Thank you, Raquel!”

“Nos deux chiens sont restés chez Pénélope et Maxime. La communication a été excellente du début à la fin. Ils nous tenaient au courant régulièrement et nous envoyaient des photos, ce qui nous a beaucoup rassurés et fait plaisir. Nos chiens ont adoré leur séjour. Nous n’hésiterons pas à réserver avec eux à nouveau dans le futur!”

“We were so happy to find Vanessa. Immediately she gained our little guy’s trust. She took care of our Luigi as if he was one of their own. They walked, travelled with Luigi, even sent us pics. We brought him back home as if nothing happen. We couldn’t have done a better job. He was extremely joyful when we picked him up. No anxiety at all. Definitely recommend Vanessa. Thank you so so much. 5⭐️ Sitter Service”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
