“Amber and Laura are wonderful with my girls! They have watched my girls twice now and each time, they come home happy and relaxed. My shepherd-mix is on the needier side with her anxiety and hot spots, and Amber/Laura were great about keeping her off of it and clean during her visits to help it heal! Both very loving and caring people who took my pets in as if they were their own while I was away. As someone who is reluctant/skeptical about leaving my fur babies in the care of others in general, they sent me videos and photos to update me on how my dogs are doing during their stay. I will for sure be using their services again in the future!”

About: I am a veterinarian licenced in Europe looking to continue to care for animals with special medical needs in the Sudbury area. I provide pet-sitting for elderly or chronically ill pets of all sorts (cats, dogs, birds, pocket pets, and rabbits) while catering to their medical needs when you can’t. After my heart cat passed away a few months ago and after talking to the owners of many senior pets, I realized that not everyone has the luxury of being able to provide high level veterinary nursing care at home for their pets. Whether you are away for the day, for vacation, or just need a break of the daily load of caring for a pet with medical needs, my home and skills are here to help. Please note that I cannot act as a veterinarian and cannot perform regulated veterinary acts, I provide pet-sitting and respite care only, with the knowledge and skills of a veterinarian. I am fully equipped to pet-sit animals with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome, Intervertebral Disk Disease and paralysis or limb weakness, urinary and fecal incontinence or retention, blindness, dry eye or glaucoma or corneal ulcers requiring eye drops, chronic kidney disease requiring subcutaneous fluids, seizure disorders, chronic ear and skin issues as well as allergies, diabetes, Cushing’s and Addison’s disorders, hyper- or hypothyroidism, gastroenteric paralysis in herbivores such as rabbits, respiratory and cardiac illnesses, etc. I have cared for all sorts of species from cats, to birds, to rabbits, and of course, dogs. I care for animals mostly out of my own home. I currently have no pets in the house after the recent passing of my heart cat. If your pet does not get along with other animals I can accommodate that — I want to make your pet as comfortable as possible, as if they were at home. I provide family home environment for your pet, if that is what they are used to, for their comfort. I live with my partner and two teenage children who all love animals (almost) as much as me. The pets' main resting area is in front of large patio doors that look over the garden so that they will never be bored when we are not immediately interacting with them and can enjoy the sunshine (my old cat used to especially enjoy this). I am happy to provide as many walks or supervised outdoor time as necessary.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life. Although I don’t have my own pet I have a lot of experience with those around me. My intention is to give them whatever they need and love them while their owner is away. My schedule is flexible and changes week to week but I am available during the day, evenings and weekends. Overnights are preferably done at your place currently however I am open depending on the situation. When dog sitting in a clients home, I like to keep their schedule as familiar as possible. Care varies from dog to dog. This is why I like to do a meet and greet with the owner and pup before committing. Personally, I like to take the pets I’m sitting for a lot of walks and make sure they get a lot of love and attention. I understand how precious pets are to their owners and they deserve the best of care.
