About: Hi there! I’m Carlie! 👋 I've been a pet owner my whole life, which has given me a genuine love for both dogs and cats. I’ve had the joy of training playful puppies and even fostering several at once, focusing on potty training and behavior. I particularly adore dachshunds and other small breeds—they truly have a special place in my heart. Cats are just as important to me, and I know how to give them the care they need. About: Hi there! My name is Sam! I have been caring for cats and dogs professionally since 2019. I have always been an animal lover, from slimy and scaly to soft and fluffy. Every animal deserves tender love and care, especially while their family is away. It can be scary for pets when their family is away and I understand how a gentle, patient and calm approach can ease that discomfort for pet parents and their pet. Safety is my number 1 priority and I’m a big believer in loss prevention, meaning the pets I care for are always secured. Never off leash or in areas that could be a potential danger. I also understand that animals have mental and physical enrichment needs, I aim to stimulate their brains as well as get them moving physically. I have an almost 9 year old dog named Toby, he is a shih tzu mix. I have been caring for dogs and cats professionally since 2019 so Toby is happy to share his house and backyard with friends! I ask that your dog is dog friendly to ensure that both pups are happy during the stay. I also have a 9 year young cat, named Phoebe. She is comfortable with sharing her home with dogs that are happy to give her space. Even if your dog hasn’t been around a cat before I’m happy to do a trail and see how your pup responds, some dogs can be easily redirected and we can make it work! Some dogs have a higher prey drive so redirecting can be harder. A meet and greet prior to a stay will be important to ensure all parties are comfy! I do work a full time job. My days are typically opposite to my partner, so your pup will never be home alone long :) Safety is my number one priority with every animal I care for. I cannot imagine what I would do if I lost either of my pets. Our backyard is fully fenced and I check often for imperfections such as holes in or under the fence. Your dog will always be on leash while out and about, even if your pup has great recall I will never let them off leash unless in a secure area, such as a dog park or other fenced in area. We use long lines on hikes to provide the off leash experience.

About: This is our first time getting on Rover but both my husband and I are pet parents and frequently pet sit for a number of friends and family when they travel. I’m an experienced pet parent with two dogs of my own, aged 5 and 6. They’re very friendly and loving and I am very familiar with the care, routine and attention dogs need every day. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level — I am happy to follow your instructions closely to make sure they’re happy and settled. Your pet will have plenty of space and attention with me. I live in a house with a fully fenced yard, giving dogs some space to play and get some fresh air. It’s a non-smoking household and because I live with my husband and mother-in-law, someone will always be home and your pet won’t be left alone for longer than 20 mins if at all. I’m comfortable providing them with regular walks and potty breaks. My dogs are given pee breaks every 4 hours and two walks in the morning and at night right before we sleep. I’m also comfortable with maintaining consistent feeding schedules, playtime, and providing oral medication (what’s not in the list is obvious but I’m also great at cuddles and companionship). My goal is to make every pet feel like part of the pack when staying with us. I work a full time job but I’m mostly remote (I’m lucky). So I’m home throughout and able to give pets plenty of attention and regular breaks. My own dogs are already part of my daily routine with walks, feeding, playtime, and endless cuddles built in. On the rare occasion that I need to go into the office (like once a month but it’s very rare), my husband is home and helps care for the dogs. He is an equally attentive and loving pet parent so your fur baby will have someone around them to keep them safe, loved and cared for. I know how important it is to feel confident that your dog is in a safe space. I have used rover to find sitters for my dogs too and it’s a top priority. Is the house truly dog friendly - no slippery floors, food lying around, chocolate wrappers, sharp edges… I scan for the little things. That is the exact level of attention I put into my home to make sure my dogs (and yours) are comfortable. I live in a house with a fully fenced yard so dogs can enjoy some outdoor time without having the risk of them wandering off. Our home is non-smoking and you can be sure that someone will always be in the house with the dogs, at all times. Before a stay, I’m happy to learn about your dogs routine, personality, feeds, comfort level, and any special instructions so I can keep their experience as familiar and stress-free as possible. I’m also very mindful of introductions between dogs so I can make sure every pet feels comfortable and has the space they need. Most importantly, I want you to have complete peace of mind when you’re away. So if you like, I’ll keep you updated with messages, photos, and videos (I personally like these) and follow your instructions carefully to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home.

About: I have not only taken care of my own dogs since i was a child but I have also taken care of family and friends dogs for many years. Dogs are special and have my heart. I am currently not working and have the time to spend with your fur babies so they have some company when waiting for you to come home I will be happy to come to your home where you're fur babies feel safe and let them out to use the bathroom and spend a little time with them and make sure they're having a good day

About: Hi everyone! Im a firefighter and paramedic which means I work shift work with a schedule that varies weekly. I’m looking to fill the gaps with some animal time! Im available mainly during the week and some weekends. I grew up in a small town north of Toronto and recently purchased my first home in Bowmanville with my boyfriend Dan. During drop-in visits, I follow your routine closely—whether that’s feeding, playing, giving medication, or providing potty breaks—so your pet feels secure and cared for in their own space. About: I’ve trained and taken full care of my puppy Ollie… as well as just taken care of both of my dogs all my life… I enjoy spending much of my time with animals and always make sure they’re well taken care of. I am currently on a gap year so I am home all the time… I walk and feed my dogs everyday and spend almost all my time with them. I have an open backyard that is about 3 acres as well as a fenced in section. I am very flexible and able to do what ever you need me to do!

About: I rescued my first cat when I was 10 years old, and I’ve taken care of cats ever since. I currently have 3 kitties that are 13, 8, and 3 years old. My sister also has a 6 year old Australian Shepherd who I have helped care for since he was a puppy. We have been on many hike adventures, had too many slumber parties to count, and I’ve even picked him up and cared for him post surgery. I am an animal lover, kind person, and can follow instruction. About: I currently have 3 furry babies at home; 2 dogs and 1 cat. They are my life and I do everything I can to take amazing care of them. I have trained my pups from the earliest age and they have grown up well behaved. I always make sure to use positive reinforcement when training, and lots of snuggles and kisses. I currently only work in the afternoons from 1:30pm-5pm, anytime before or after that I am free to walk your dog/dogs [or cat(s)!] or do a drop in to give your furry baby some love, potty time, and cuddles or play time! About: When I was younger I had a dog named Rascal. He was a golden retriever that I trained to become a therapy dog. Actually, believe it or not, I trained other people on how their dogs should behave to become therapy dogs. I don't do that now but it was a great experience. I'm a personal trainer, most of my clients want to train in the morning or evening, so I'm usually free during the day. I go for walks most days anyways so I figure, why not help out someone and their dog and make a little extra on the side, no matter the weather. I'm a professional and safety always comes first, no matter if it's a person or a dog, your pet's in safe hands. Pets are family, so they need to be taken care of.

About: Ive cared for dogs and rabbits for 30 years. I own a micro rabbitry. I raise mini rex. I worked in the animal industry up untill 5 years ago. Where I started working as a public school caretaker. As a caretaker I work shift. Alot of afternoon shifts which makes me available during the day. If im on day shifts I would be available after 3pm On after noons I will be available all day untill 2pm. I am also available on weekends if you're going away. I treat all dogs as I would my own. About: Veterinary assistant who has worked in boarding facilities pet sitting and vet clinics for the past 20 + years and loves all pets big and small I have a fully fenced in back yard and crates available for nap time if needed and no other dogs live here at the moment I like to spend as much time as possible with pets who are in my care either with regular walks or one on one time. During the week while I am at work, they are walked before I leave and get let outside for mid day breaks in the backyard .I treat all pets as if they are my own family I have a fully fenced backyard and never leave your dog unattended. If they are crate trained then I do have a few that can be used for when I go out. When I am in your home they get lots of cuddle time and daily walks and always follow whatever routine they are used to in regards to feeding etc
