“Amber is just fantastic! Not only is she a great communicator but she also sent regular photos and videos of our pup having a great time. We always know our dog is in good hands with Amber. Highly recommend.”

“Susan was great with my fur baby. I was in and out of service a good portion of the weekend, but every now and then I would get updates on how my Pooch was doing with photos. In addition, she had the service of pickup and drop off, which was extremely helpful for me as I was tied up helping with the wedding. Previously, my only option had been taking Sitka to a boarding kennel. Every time it would be about a week of her coming down from all the stress and anxiety of being around all the barking misbehaved dogs. Typically would come back with some kind of stomach indigestion. The important thing, is that she needs medication twice a day, and with the boarding kennel I really wondered how consistent the medication administration was. I can see why Susan has five star reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to contact her again. Thank you again for taking care of my fur baby. -Ty”

“Dominique and family took very good care of our Ava girl. The kids were very tentative and caring aswell as Dominique. “Lisa and David went above and beyond during Indy’s stay over Christmas!! It was our first time leaving our puppy and we felt so comfortable knowing she was in their hands. They sent amazing updates on how Indy was adjusting, and photos / videos of her running around their beautiful fenced in property with their two lovely boarder collies, snoozing on the couch, and getting lots of cuddles from all. We will definitely be booking again and Indy already cant wait to go back ❣️”

About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.
“Carolyn and her family have been an ultra amazing experience for me and Maui. With regular updates and photos, I was able to have days away without any worries. My furbabe was picked up looking so happy and content! Carolyn was great with communication leading up to and after pickup. I hope to rebook in the future! 💝”

“Janine and her family took such great care of Natty-Bo! Lots of fun play-time, couch snuggles, photos and love. This was our first time leaving our pup and we had zero concerns while we were away. Thank you so much for that peace of mind!”

“It was so lovely to return to collect Finn after 3 weeks international travel to have him calm, washed and ready to go. Carol has been a delight to work with and her communication while we were away was great. Finn and I both agree that we have found his home away from home. Thank you Carol (and Augie, Rupert and Mike) x”

“We were very happy with Michaela's understanding and patience of our dog puppy energy. We are grateful to have felt so comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Thank you Michaela, we will book with you again in the future.”

About: I have done drop ins and had friends/family dogs stay with me for the last 2 years and have owned my own (not anymore) dogs on and off for my whole life A pet lover with time to spare. I currently work 5 hours a day during the week and can provide early morning, afternoon and evening visits. I have a large fenced front and back yard. All animals must be well socialized with children if they are staying here, otherwise I can do drop-ins without children.
“Melisa was awesome with our 2 year old Lab/Dane Mylo. He has a crazy amount of energy and Melisa made sure to take him running or swimming every day! She's great and we will definitely use her services again!”

“Lorena and Michael took fantastic care of my husky, Nova! She’s a rescue and has some quirks, but they were great with all her needs and very communicative while we were away. Their dog Leia was very sweet and receptive to Nova’s boundaries, and Michael was very knowledgeable with dog cues and behaviour which gave me great confidence in leaving my pup with them. I would leave Nova with them again in a heartbeat! Thanks again.”

About: Hi! I am a lifelong animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I share my home with my 3 year old bulldog so I understand the important of exercise, enrichment, routine, and plenty of affection. Over the years, I've cared for many dogs and have been a go to pet sitter for friends and family when they've needed someone reliable to look after their pets. Whether its daily walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility very seriously. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for when you are not around, while giving you peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work as an auxiliary administrative assistant with The City of Campbell River so my schedule is always changing, I am often home for many days without working so caring for furry friends is the perfect way to pass the time. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize maintaining their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I ensure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive exercise and companionship. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.
“We are so glad to have found Fiona. She came by for a meet and greet with our rabbits and was keen to learn about them and make sure she understands how to care for them. We really appreciate her diligence and attention to detail.”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, and parrots. I love animals. I am always gentle with them and will play and pet your furry friend. I do gig work so my availability is fairly flexible. I can make changes when needed and can even do same day care if I’m free. I will follow your orders. I can watch your pets in your house and take them outside in the yard. I can walk them too.
“Anthony took great care of my cat when I was away, she is very anxious and shy but I felt confident leaving my cat with him, he even took my mail in and sent me updates and a little video to reassure me! I would definitively book Anthony again!!”

“Marie was so helpful and great with our cat! Our cat is very shy with new people normally, but she went up to Marie right away and was very comfortable with her. She responded very quickly and was flexible with meet up times, highly recommend :)”

About: I have done pet sitting for family and friends for many years now and recently have wanted to do it more professionally! I love all animals and am knowledgeable in dog and cat behaviour to make them the most comfortable they can be. I am currently working the majority from home and have extra time on my hands to do some pet sitting and spend that extra time with the pets :) Up until recently I was caring for my senior pup and had to put a bit extra into caring for him and couldnt leave him at alone for extended periods of time so I am definitely comfortable with those pets that need the extra love and care!
“Holly did multiple house visits with our dog. It is great to have someone reliable to come check on our pup and she has also accepted requests on short notice too. She is our go to person. Definitely recommending her.”

About: I grew up with cats, and by my teenage years I was the go-to pet sitter for friends, family and friends of friends. Over time, that turned into paid, freelance work caring for both cats and dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I have experience with both kittens and senior cats, including those who need oral medication, and I’m comfortable caring for multiple cats at once while keeping their routines and needs separate and respected. What matters most to me is that your pet feels safe and not disrupted while you’re away. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every animal is different, and I follow your routines, your preferences, and your pet’s cues. Some animals want play and energy, others want space and a calm presence. I’m attentive to that and adjust accordingly. I’m calm, gentle, and patient with animals. I respect their space and let them come to me, which tends to work especially well for shy or more sensitive pets. At the same time, I genuinely love connecting with animals, so if your pet is the cuddly type, they’ll get plenty of affection too. I offer a free meet and greet so we can make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. This also helps me understand your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can care for them properly.

“Kenya is great and I will continue to book with her in the future! She was able to accommodate a last minute booking for me and was very gentle and understanding with my cat that has special needs. I felt comfortable and confident leaving my pet in her care and would recommend her to others.”

About: I volunteer twice a week at a local cat shelter, where I clean and care for the cats, and come home and care for my 2 kitties. I enjoy every cat I meet, and enjoy finding learning their personalities.
“Carissa took great care of our shy girls! They warmed up to her quickly and seemed to have a lot of fun. It's obvious Carissa has a real affinity for cats; we'd happily have her look after our cats again. The cute pictures and detailed updates were an added bonus!”

“Gammy looked after our 2 kitties for 10 days in July ‘24. He was on time and attentive during our initial meeting and enquired about the cats’ schedules and needs. He is calm and sensible with pets; inspiring confidence. He was both responsible and responsive while we were away -answering questions about my cat behaviours and health (she has asthma). I definitely recommend his services: he is trustworthy, diligent, and respects our privacy. Additional duties were to water the plants in our front patio - he did an excellent job of this as the planters dry out fast in a heatwave.”

About: We've had pets as a part of our family my entire life! 😻🐕 I treat animals like royalty that they truly are ! Such amazing companions ! About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We now live in Cumberland and love taking care of your dogs whenever we can. We live on a 0.3acre greatly fenced property and love having extra friends around to take on adventures or play fetch and be cozy at home. Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian works from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.
“I was a bit nervous leaving my pup with a stranger for the first time but Adam was awesome, he provided updates and pictures throughout and allowed her to be where she felt most comfortable, even when that meant outside waiting for my return. He even had her equipped with a gps collar incase she escaped. She also got along well with their little dogs!”

“My puppy Dex came back happy and tired. Thank you Honey for playing with him! Lindsay did an amazing job with my very high energy puppy. He got lots of playtime, a walk and even his naps. I would totally recommend her care.”

She clearly has a great love for dogs and it shines through. We will absolutely ask her to sit for Stanley the next time we are in Campbell River.”

“Aparna and Chief combine to make a great experience for our dog who has pretty high anxiety. He actually is excited to run through the front gate to greet them both. Thank you for the excellent service Aparna!”

I’ve owned a husky shepherd in the past, I currently have two cats and have been caring for and being around animals since I was a kid. Flexible hours also allows me to take work breaks to fit your schedule and needs. I have a fenced yard which is great for dogs who visit or come to stay. I do have two cats so I am more keen to board and dog sit pups that are good with cats. I do have the ability to separate a dog from the cats for shorter stays. My partner and friends have dogs and this is a very dog friendly home. I understand the importance of keeping things pets shouldn’t have access to put away, while ensuring they have all the cozy comforts they need. I also have a Google Nest camera in my home allowing me to keep an eye on the pets whenever I’m out of the house. That and thorough security systems ensure your pets are safe with me.
“Our puppy had the best time with Valeria! When I picked her up she laid at the door and was in no rush to leave haha, and she is so tired which is always a good sign for me of a fun day. She was communicative throughout the day and sent us lots of photos too, which was so nice. We will 100% leave her with Valeria again and already have plans to do so.”

“Audrey took great care of my dog during a doggy day care session. She was great at communicating during the booking process and my dog seemed to really enjoy staying with her. I would fully recommend Audrey to anyone looking for services on Rover.”

“Cherese has been amazing. She’s incredibly accommodating (coming all the way to me in Cumberland from Merville, plus several other things!) and has a great understanding of dog behaviour. She has her own two pups, and made sure it was okay if she could bring one of them along for Alder’s walk. It’s clear she cares a lot for animals, and wants to ensure that her clients get solid feedback after every walk. Alder has seemed so much happier and fulfilled this week vs before the walks with Cherese. Very happy I found her profile :)”

Our boy had just received surgery and Sean was respectful of his aftercare. I enjoyed the photos they would send me. When the time comes I would definately call them again!”

“Kevin and his wife provided an outstanding boarding experience for my dog Parker! I really appreciated their communication throughout his stay which assured me that he was in good hands and having a great time. Highly recommended.”

“Brynne was wonderful with our dog - they went on long walks and Remy had the best time. Brynne sent lots of pictures and was super quick to respond to any messages. We definitely hope Remy can stay with her again when we come back.”

“Cat did a wonderful job caring for Dale! She has a lovely home and property with lots of room to run and play. Excellent communication throughout stay and her dogs were very welcoming to ours. Would highly recommend getting in contact with Cat for any caregiving. Thanks so much Cat, look forward to bringing Dale over again sometime!”
