OFFICIAL RULES
Prize Draw: the Year-end Payment Verification Survey Prize Draw ("Prize Draw") is operated and
promoted by Dog Buddy UK Ltd of 5 New Street Square, London, UK EC4A 3TW (“Promoter”).
Eligibility: The Prize Draw is open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom (excluding
Northern Ireland) who are over the age of 18 and are registered Rover.com pet care service providers at
the time of entry. Directors, officers and employees of Promoter and any of its respective affiliate
companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, development and promotional partners, and
advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each, are not eligible to enter the Prize
Draw.
Prize Draw Period: The Prize Draw period of entry will begin at 9:00am (BST) on January 8, 2021
and end at 8:59am (BST) on January 25, 2021 ("Prize Draw Period"). Entries received after this time will
not be valid.
How to Enter: To enter the Prize Draw, respond to the letter from Promoter attached to the
email invite dated January 8, 2021 by completely and accurately responding to the request for
information and confirming your response via telephone as directed therein.
The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of
cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction,
systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.
By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Official Rules.
Limit on Entries. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person/household, per Prize Draw,
regardless of method of entry.
Prize Draw Rules: On or about January 25, 2021, one (1) potential prize winner will be randomly
selected by a computer process from all eligible entries received. Each selected potential prize winner
will be notified by email and/or telephone on or about January 25, 2021. The prize winner(s) will be
notified of their win as soon as practicable after verification and awarded a prize, as set forth below. If
the potential prize winner is not eligible to win the prize or cannot be contacted/ is not available within
seven (7) days of being notified of their win, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to an
alternate randomly selected winner.
Prizes: There is one (1) prize offered in the Prize Draw. The prize winner will receive a prize that
consists of a deposit into their Rover Wallet of £100. Odds of winning a prize depends on the number of
eligible entries received. All prizes will be awarded. The prize of £100 economic value will deposited
into the winner’s Rover Wallet within 10 days of being notified of their win. Prizes returned as
undeliverable may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner at the Promoter's sole discretion.
No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. The winner may not
transfer the prize to someone else. Insofar as is permitted by applicable law, all prizes are awarded
without warranty of any kind, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of
fitness for a particular purpose). All applicable taxes associated with the receipt or use of any prize and
expenses not specified in the prize description are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Confirmation of Prize Award: The Promoter must either publish or make available information
that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, you agree that the Promoter
can send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who emails accounting@rover.com or
writes to the following “Attn: Finance, A Place for Rover, Inc., 720 Olive Way, Ste 1900, Seattle, WA
98101” (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the end of the Prize Draw Period.
If you object to any or all of your surname and county being made available, please contact the
Promoter at Attn: Finance, A Place for Rover, Inc., 720 Olive Way, Ste 1900, Seattle, WA 98101. In such
circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the applicable
advertising standards authority, if any, on request.
General Terms and Conditions: The Prize Draw and these Official Rules will be governed,
construed and interpreted under the laws of England and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the
jurisdiction of the English courts.
Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent
permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect.
Promoter shall not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged or misdirected
entries. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Official Rules, the
Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Prize
Draw.
Promoter reserves the right to amend these Official Rules or to terminate the Prize Draw where
it becomes necessary to do so. If such amends become necessary, Promoter will inform and provide an
overview of the relevant amendments to all participants by email. Promoter may share information
collected in connection with this Prize Draw with its affiliates for the purposes of administering the Prize
Draw in accordance with these Official Rules and Promoter’s Privacy Statement.
By entering this Prize Draw you agree that the Promoter can use your name, photograph,
likeness, details of the country and/or city where you live, any comments made by or attributed to you
for the sole purpose of promoting and marketing the Prize Draw, including but not limited to, any
audio/visual recording or broadcast for such promotional purposes, in any media, throughout the world.
By entering the Prize Draw, entrants (i) confirm that they have complied with these Official Rules and
are eligible to enter the Prize Draw, and (ii) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the
decisions of Promoter, which are final and binding in all respects.
