“Glendon gave us continuous updates with pic and videos of our happy pups. They were relaxed and well taken care of. Glendon cares for animals and makes us feel reassured when we are away. Will definitely book with him again.”
2. Kirsten H.
“Kirsten is an amazing dog sitter! We had her take care of three young dogs for a long weekend. I immediately knew they were in good hands — she kept us updated the entire time we were gone and went the extra mile when one of my pooches got an upset stomach. I will definitely use Kirsten again and can’t say enough good things about her.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.
4. Olivia Z.
“Olivia pet sat for my 3 Shih Tzus while we were vacationing in Maine. She responded to all communication promptly and arrived on time. She was very good with my dogs and they seemed to enjoy being with her. I would not hesitate to use Olivia again if we are in the area.”
5. Tiana T.
“Tiana was absolutely fabulous! Professional. Personable. Intuitive. Our young pugs had the absolute best time with Tania. She bonded with them instantly and them with her. Due to their bond, Mademoiselle and Captian (sister and brother), were very responsive and attentive to Tania. She took them on numerous daily outings such as: Little Long Pond; Pretty Marsh; Blue Horizon; and a hiking trail within walking distance from our home. Returning from our ten day trip, we were greeted by our two very happy little furbabies. Our home was immaculate (cleaner than when we left), bed linens, etc. were laundered and folded. Our plants looked better then ever and all our mail was organized neatly on our dining room table. To boot, early on in our trip, I needed help from Tania to put together an order placed on my Etsy shop. Having no experience in doing so, however, in no time Tania processed and shipped the order. Tania is truly exceptional.”
6. Abigail H.
“Abigail is very experienced with both cats and dogs and handles them with great care. She loves all animals and follows pet owners instructions very carefully and makes sure each animal she cares for gets exactly the kind of care they need.”
7. Nicole F.
“Nicole was great. Bella was happy to see us when we got back, but not stressed at all. It was a huge relief to us to have someone we trusted watching her while I took my husband to the hospital for an outpatient procedure. Turned out well all the way around and I would use her again.”
8. Makenna B.
“Mak was absolutely amazing. This was my first time leaving my 5mo Aussie pup alone at home, and she reassured me regularly that Bindi was doing great. I was able to fully relax and enjoy my time away. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”
9. Jasmine S.
“Six stars for Jasmine ****** The Rover community just got even more wonderful. Jasmine - a loving, kind, gentle, and intuitive, a lifelong caregiver (and love-giver) to animals- has taken care of my cat (cats - consecutively, three cats) many times over the years. When Jasmine steps in to be with my cat, I never feel that pang of distance from the animal I am responsible for. I know that my feline family member, and my home, are cared for as if I had never left. Animal care is one of Jasmine's true gifts, whether administering medication or tending to my cat's wants and needs for affection, play, quiet company, or even sometimes privacy. Jasmine has your animal's needs, and yours, covered.”

About: I've cared for dogs and cats for over 10 years and have experience with house sitting, dog walking, and animal care. I grew up with dogs and cats and miss having animals in the house. I love going on long walks in Acadia, whether it be a short walk through town or a more extensive hike in the park. I can offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know your pets! I am available after 4 pm on Monday-Thursday and all day Friday-Sunday. I could also potentially house-sit for longer stretches if you are located close to Town Hill, MDI so that I could check in on your pets during my lunch break. I cannot offer services in my home but will be sure to treat my clients' homes with respect, and will care for your pets guided by your recommendations. On walks, I will follow the dog's lead if they want a more energetic walk and listen to when it might be time to turn around. For house sitting, I will take dogs out for bathroom breaks, be attentive to feeding times, provide good company, and enjoy walks together during the day. I will also keep the house safe and follow any instructions on cleanup/lockup upon departure.

I have a pretty open schedule after 2 pm almost every week day, except for Thursdays when I'm in lab until 5. My dogs and I love playing outside, which is 3 acres of fenced in land including mountain range, dense woods and a small pond and pool! My puppies love playing outside and get to come in and out of the puppy door whenever. I love to take my dogs on walks on forested roads, or do day adventures like going to treworgys farm to see the bunnies!

About: My family and I have raised three dogs, two boxers and an English bull dog. From daily walks to nightly cuddles, I have cared for my pups in good health and post-oral and leg surgery. I have cared for my neighbors cats and have worked at a local shelter to take care of new litters (clean up, outside exposure). When I am at home in Maine, I often wake up to my dogs at my feet. I walk both of them (two boxers, total weight of 160) for at least an hour, feed them, cuddle, and give them an evening walk as well. When taking care of other's animals, I have a large backyard for dogs to play in. I live near many trails to walk on. I live in a communal space with housemates who would love to also play with your pup! When staying in your home, I have spent time in other's spaces when working as a summer cleaner. I will take care of your animal(s) to the best of my ability and can complete household chores if needed. My goal as an animal caretaker is for your animal(s) to feel comfortable and happy in the space.
17. Elizabeth M.
“This was our first time leaving our puppy and Elizabeth was absolutely amazing. Our dog warmed up to her so quickly, even though she can be a little wary of strangers, and our cat loves to cuddle with her. Elizabeth sent me lots of photos and stayed late into the night when our flight got delayed. Cannot recommend her enough!”
18. Sophie M.
“Sophie did a fantastic job of caring for our house and our pets while we were on vacation. She kept us updated with frequent photos and cute stories, and was great about asking questions for anything that wasn't clear. I have never had such a stress-free vacation - I was so relaxed about our pets being in good hands. When we got home, the house was clean and the animals were all so calm and happy. We will definitely book her again if she's available!”
