About: I have loved and cared for all walks of animals my entire life. Throughout my childhood I was the neighborhood dog walker and babysitter (people and pet!). I have owned MANY cats, cared for many dogs, owned and cared for many horses as a ranch manager, and have always loved snakes (though I have not owned one yet). I would love the opportunity to love and protect your fur-baby while you're away and give you the peace of mind you deserve. I live and work fully remotely from my van. If you have reliable internet connection at home, then I am happy to live and work from there for the duration of my stay, providing 24 hour pet care. Otherwise, I may just need to leave during my regular work week (M-F) for 6-8 hours to access internet from a nearby coffee shop for example. I am familiar with how to establish and keep boundaries with animals (especially dogs and horses) in a firm but gentle manner. I will always do what is best for the health and safety of both the humans (including myself) and the animals in my care. I am more than happy to follow precise care instructions for your pets and to ask questions on anything I am unsure about. Communication is the most important thing to me.

About: I have been dog and housesitting for about eight years. I love getting to be their friend & companion while you’re gone on a vacation! I currently work full-time for 10 hour shifts, but I do get breaks where I can go let animals out during my lunch. And I can make whatever arrangements I need too! I currently cannot offer in home housesitting, but I am willing to go to your house and take care of your babies in their own home!
9. Juan R.
“Juan provided outstanding care for our 12-year old canine. Our dog is highly sensitive and cautious around new people. He took to Juan immediately! Juan is a calm and relaxed individual who was willing to meet with our dog several times before we left. On the second meeting Juan even brought a toy! Juan listened carefully to our instructions (our dog needed medication twice daily) and followed through perfectly. We returned home to find our dog happy and healthy.”

About: Experience caring for anxious and/or special needs animals (diapers, mobility issues, medication, senior dogs, puppies) both professionally and personally. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting on and off for family friends and neighbors since I was a teenager, but started doing so more professionally in the past 5 years. Most of my experience is with overnight care for dogs (ranging from a single night to a full month at a time) but I’m an animal lover with personal experience caring for every kind of pet imaginable (horses, ferrets, fish, cats, bunnies, reptiles/tortoises). I work very flexible hours part-time which mostly consists of work from home, this leaves my schedule wide open for overnight care and long stays. I have a fenced in yard that’s over an acre along with a larger area of about three more acres for leashed walks. Very good at following feeding and medication schedules, as well as making sure potty breaks are consistent (experience with special needs dogs who require being let outside/cleaned up after much more frequently than other dogs).
14. Michelle L.
“I've known Michelle for decades and she's always been so great with animals. Her most recent dog lived a long long life and Michelle was loving him and taking care of him with regular vet visits, shots, and medicine til the end. She's very caring and attentive and responsible. She's a great communicator.”
15. Jorge & Kaitlyn V.
About: Hi there! We are Kaitlyn and Jorge, two professionals embracing our opportunity to travel and work remotely full-time. We have pet and house sat regularly since we moved out of DC in 2022. We are newer to Rover but have been using other apps and are more than happy to share references. We both grew up in animal-loving homes - with dogs (black lab, German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, Terrier mix, Great Dane mix, Beagle, and Australian Shepherd) + a rabbit, turtle, and fish. Over the past several years, we have lived with pets and taken on dog, cat, plant and house sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. Our collective knowledge and communication makes us a great team so we’re able to care for multiple pets well. We also have experience caring for chickens and other farm animals. We like a clean home and will keep yours that way too. Please contact us with inquiries. We work remotely, so are flexible depending on availability. We can be booked for home and pet sitting with advanced notice. Dog walking can be done on shorter notice and can be done at different times of the day. We love pets and value our client’s trust. We rely on many years of experience caring for pets, and supplement that with clear communication with each other and our clients. We are great with directions and will ask questions about the care your home and pet require when unsure.
