About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was twelve years old. I love hanging out with dogs and getting to know their quirks and personalities. I recently adopted my first rescue, Cabot, who loves meeting and playing with other dogs. I’m happy to bring him along for walks or play dates with your dog, depending on their preference. I have a good grasp of puppy training and believe in positive reinforcement. I’m currently waiting for my seasonal job to start in the spring, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet! About: My name is Melissa and I have taken care of animals since my first dog in second grade. I currently have one 15 year old cat, a 12 year old Labrador, and a 10 year old Shih-Tzo. For many years my spouse and I fostered or adopted senior dogs who may not have had a chance to be adopted. I have open availability on weekends, however on weekdays I am available early mornings, evenings and overnights. I’m not available during the daytime on weekdays. I am experienced feeding animals in a variety of ways and will follow your instructions on feeding and walking. I ensure animals are well cared for, played with, and that they receive the attention and care needed.

I have a wealth of experience in pet care. Throughout my life, I have been responsible for taking care of my two dogs at home, as well as living with eight cats for a period of six months. Animals require more mental stimulation than people may think. Just like humans, they thrive on mental stimulation. That's why it's crucial for animals to have social interactions with both humans and other animals. Providing exercise and outdoor time is essential for their well-being. That's why I always make sure to take my dogs and cats on regular walks. Additionally, I prioritize their overall health by ensuring they have plenty of nourishing food. About: I will care for your pet like it's my own. I have worked in vet office for my first job, many moons ago but never list the love for animals. And always have had pets growing up and still do to this day. I can come to your house or you can bring them to me or I can pick them up if your running late. Very flexible schedule. Have animal toys treats and crate if needed for your pet. Also have a runner for dogs to go outside. But can and will walk animal if needed or they want to go and look around town. Can supply food if animal isn't picky with bowls as well. So just trust me, I can do this.

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. It brings me joy and fulfillment to care for pups and cats alike, while creating an environment where they (and you) can feel safe and earn my trust in the process. As a part time bartender at Pascolo Restaurant in Downtown Burlington, it would fit into my schedule to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon and early evening as well as weekends. There is a lot of freedom to work around your schedule :) In my home, I live off of Main Street in Vergennes and can provide safe walking around town as well as some of the trails near by. In your home, I am quick to adapt to whatever will make you most comfortable!

About: I have had dogs all of my life! I volunteered at the humane society as a foster care provider and found homes for many dogs during this time. I worked with a veterinarian for the past ten years and provided care for his dogs. I am very active and can also run with your dog if you have a high energy breed such as a husky. I will care for your dogs as if they were my own and can also groom, massage, administer medications, recommend holistic nutritional changes, and provide any additional services that your furry companion may need. I can bring your pup to obedience classes, vet visits, or grooming appointments! I will also work with dogs that have issues such as socialization issues, manner problems, or anything else we may discuss. I currently work from home, so I am able to watch the furry friends all day. They can have a private space in the home, in the yard, or join the pack. I can customize preferences to include a hike, trail run, short walks, pick-up/drop off at your pets location, light grooming, etc. In my home I have three dogs, and they can be separate or play together if preferred. i have a large fenced yard. There is also a separate studio with a kennel if needed. If visiting a clients home, I will adjust to clients preferences and instructions.
