“We were from out of town for a wedding and found out our pet friendly hotel would not let our 5 pound puppy stay in room in a playpen while we were out so needed someone quick. Joanna was quick to respond and was very accommodating for the daycare on a Sunday. She is a very caring person and her love of pets shows. Our puppy did well in the family atmosphere. As a veterinarian I would feel very comfortable asking Joanna to care for our pet again.”

5. Karen & Laura B.
About: My mother (Karen) and I (Laura) work together to make sure your pets have the best stay possible! I am a former veterinarian assistant, and I have worked in many vet offices through the years. I have been involved with animals for over 25 years and Karen for over 30! It is usually me, Laura, taking care of your babies but Karen is always available if needed. One of us will be home with your pets all day every day, and there are no other pets in the home. We prefer that when a pet comes to stay, they have all our attention and don't have to worry about other animals. This is my first time living without a dog at home but for now, I am thoroughly enjoying taking care of visitors. If you have specific do's or don't, just let us know and your pets visit can be as strict or as spoiled as you would like. They will feel at home and will have free reign of the house, including furniture or beds, depending on your wishes. We live in a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2200 sqft home and the yard is as big as a football field, it is literally 300ft x 100ft. The house is one of only 2 homes on a small road tucked back in a beautiful small neighborhood, with very few neighbors. It is perfect for walks, cars are rare, and nature is everywhere. Even though the area is calm and peaceful, we are only one minute from Atlantic Blvd, Beach Blvd, University Blvd, and only 3 minutes from downtown. This location also places us close to multiple veterinarian offices, as well as after-hour emergency locations. We will keep you updated on how your dog is doing throughout the their stay, including daily pictures. We can provide extra services such as brushing, bathing, nail trimming, or any special request/needs that you may have. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! *Please Note: If your requested service dates include a holiday, holiday rates will apply. If Rovers quote/cost does not reflect holiday rates, it will be updated during the booking process. Rates more than 15 days in the future may be higher than current rates, especially during holidays. We do not have any children or pets in the home and we are here with your fur babies 24/7! We do not have jobs other than Rover, so we won't be on a computer all day ignoring your pets, they will have ALL our attention for walks, food, play, meds, baths, whatever they need. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions, we always try and accommodate your needs or requests. We have a large house with a big play room (cooled with A/C, perfect for hot days) and a porch (outside & screened, covered & enclosed, great for rainy days). They are both 14ft x 40ft! Tons of room to run and play no matter what the weather is outside. There are no children or other animals to worry about and we only watch one family at a time, so your dog(s) will have the place to themselves. We are happy to make specialty meals, administer medications at specific times, and provide potty/exercise breaks consistantly throughout the day. We have always been super protective over our own pets, and yours will be no different!
6. Sara O.
“We have Sara care for our dog twice already even after the incident with other dog. Because we trust that Sara has nothing to do with what happen. She’s always great with our dog, took care of him and made sure he’s well taken care of. We believe in her capability to act and give him the care that he needed. What happen to others shouldn’t be a reason not to use Sara’s service. Just be honest with your dog’s health and condition and she will deliver the best care that your dog needs! Thank you Sara!”
7. Teresa & Chase & Dakota F.
“This is truly the dream team! Pita LOVED spending time with them and misses her new BFF, Max, constantly. We’ll definitely have to let them play again when we return to Jacksonville!”
8. Makayla C.
“Makayla has taken care of my fur baby, Roxie, for a while now. She has been such a great help with her daily walks anytime my schedule gets too busy. Roxie is an American Bully and though some may think that’s an aggressive breed, Roxie absolutely adores Makayla and gets so excited any time she’s around. I would recommend Makayla to anyone! She’s a part of our family now!”
9. Toni N.
“Toni has been a great deal of help with my once too hyperactive Pitbull. I couldn’t seem to find a sitter who was patient enough to sit and walk her on a regular basis, until a friend of mine recommended I reach out to Toni. I continue to hire her weekly, and she’s really helped calm my girl down and train her to walk more easily on leash. Overall, an excellent and loving sitter to hire.”
10. Tyler H.
“Tyler was clearly experienced with dogs- we felt confident he’d be taken care of and sure enough we picked up a happy dog at the end of the day!”
11. Audrey H.
“Audrey did a wonderful job caring for Moose. He loved all the cuddles!”
12. Chelsae C.
About: Hello! My name is Chelsae and I have been taking care all sorts of animals since I could walk. I grew up on a farm in Idaho and have worked with all sorts of creatures, dogs and cats being my favorite. I have worked with dogs on all levels of training and behavior. I love walks but I also focus on mental stimulation and training during walks. I will treat your fur baby with the love and care I give my own. I am currently not working and have flexibility in scheduling. I am usually more active in the morning than the evening as my family likes to seize the day early.. and nap later haha I provide a safe and stable environment where your animal can play, learn and thrive. I have a huge fenced in backyard where they can play and be free.
13. Robert C.
“Robert and Mira watched my dog numerous and they were phenomenal every time! Highly recommend them if you’re needing time to get away from pets for whatever reason.”
14. Brandi M.
“Brandi is a wonderful, caring person who loves animals, especially dogs, like no one else I've ever known. Her medical background is a plus as well, as she knows how to take care of animals in a way most can't and can detect the subtle nuances of sickness in a dog before more noticeable symptoms show themselves. You'll not find a more kind, knowledgeable and responsible person to take care of your furbaby.”
15. Jiaqi L.
About: When I was a little girl, I wanted to have a cat or a dog. But my mother told me that buying a pet is different from buying a dress. We need enough time, space and energy to grow with them, and we couldn't do that at that moment. I didn't really know how to live with pets until I moved to my aunt's house for my studies. My aunt's dog’s name is Ashy. She's a schnauzer. When I met her, she was a 6 years old adult dog. Like all other Schnauzers, she was intelligent but occasionally mischievous. I loved her very much but I also taught her. Everyday, I would play with her, run in the yard, and walk in the neighborhood. And I clean her ear canals every three days, bathe her in the bathroom every 10 days, and even sometimes give her a really ugly haircut by myself. But the passage of time also took away her vitality. I still remember when we first took a walk, she waited for me, then I waited for her, and finally I carried her home. Her aging did not make me no longer love her, but learned to be more patient with her and cherish our time more. In addition to Ashy, I accompanied my aunt to Atlanta to pick up a puppy, a smart eight-month-old Golden doodle. Dealing with puppies requires the owner to be more assertive and set the rules than with adults. I'm lacking in this, but I'll keep trying. As for cats, to be honest, I have not had a complete experience of staying with cats for a long time so far, but I did a one-month drop-in visit for my friend for free. This experience taught me how to take care of cats. I can do a few steps of feeding, shoveling cat poop, adding water and playing with the cat, but if there are more needs, I need to be taught by the cat owner. I know my experience is not rich, but I believe that patience and love can help me improve i am applying and waiting for schools offer, so i will have a lot of time to play with your pups.I am available for boarding, doggy day care drop-in visit and dog walking everyday. My family now lives in a single house with its own backyard and no children or pets, so I have plenty of space and time to spend with your pet For those who need boarding or doggy day care, the most part, and your cute pets will be spending leisure time indoor with me. They will be allowed to visit every room of mine and will be taken good care of. Of course, they will also find fun in the backyard. My backyard is fenced off so you don't have to worry about your dog's safety while I enjoy playing in the backyard with them. My house is located in a safe and quiet area, and my neighbors love animals. Therefor, they will spend this time thinking of you in a loving environment. For those who need drop-in visit or dog walking, not only do I feed them or walk with them at appointed times, but I also play small games to keep them from feeling lonely and get some exercise. I fully understand their concern and miss their pets, and I am happy to keep in touch with my owners. If you miss them, I'd be happy to be a pet photographer
