I'm very happy with the care Winnie was given while I was away! Ellen and her team sent pictures and kept me up on how she was doing. When we picked her up, she was clean and happy. Thank you!

Mary is the best! She made my boy feel so comfortable. She also gave him his medicine every 12 hours for his epilepsy, for which I’m so thankful.

Lindsey was amazing with my dog, Teddy! He had such a great time on her farm — it truly felt like a little vacation for him. She took wonderful care of him and kept me updated with fantastic photos and detailed messages about how he was doing. I really appreciated the communication and felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would happily recommend Lindsey to anyone and will definitely book with her again in the future!

Great property for dogs and a welcome home. I have a Vizsla, which means he’s full of energy and attention seeking. He had plenty of room to run and was shown the care and love he needed. I will definitely use Dixie again in the future.

Sam was the best! Very accommodating and you know that she cares about animals. Treated my dog Jaxie like her own and I could tell she was loved and had a great time away from home. First time using this service and my expectations were blown away, will definitely rebook with Sam in the future! Would give more than 5 stars if possible.

About: I’ve taken care of many dog breeds for over 40 years, from walking, bathing, playtime, dogs with medical needs and seniors. Small and large breeds are welcome! I currently work just a few hours a week and my adult, dog loving daughter is always here if I am not. Weekdays and weekends are available for some fun with your fur babies! Your pet is free to roam throughout the house but I have a crate and a 2 room area that can be closed off if needed. I have a large fenced in yard for safety and lots of playtime. Your doggy will be comfortable while vacationing in our home!

The best dog boarding my dogs have ever been too. The location is set in a perfect pet paradise with heat/ ac available enclosed areas with an outdoor closed in large dog run. I have a small tiny lap dog, and a very active bird dog, and they were both very well taken care of. I would give them more stars, but this app only allows for 5.

About: Like many others, I am a dog lover and was raised taking care of family dogs. Unlike others, that passion led to training and classes, competing in dog sports, and now, competing in dog shows. I have experience with many breeds of all sizes, senior pet care, reactive dog care and training. I would love to help you with your pet care needs! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate most dogs’ needs. I currently have open availability for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop in visits. Dogs are treated like one of my own! I take your dog out for leashed potty breaks several times a day, according to their needs. While I am working, your dog can settle on the couch or one of the many dog beds, or relax and play with my dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Foxhound). If your dog likes the crate, I have an extra for them. When I run errands, your dog will be crated or gated in a separate room from my dogs for safety. I live on 4 acres next and next to a cemetery, so I can take your dog for relaxing walks in a peaceful environment.

Our sweet, shy and cuddly pup had a great stay with Crystal and her family! We could see from the updates she sent us that she was happy and having fun, and knowing she was safe and being loved made the separation easier. You can see easily that Crystal treats her charges as if they were her own when they are in her care. Thanks, and we will definitely utilize her again in the future.

5 stars isn’t enough! This was 10 yo Kramer’s first time away from home. His older brother died last month and they were never apart. This has been a very rough time of adjustment. Tammy is wonderful with Kramer! She has a warm heart, a dog friendly home and fenced yard. Kramer was extremely well cared for!

I recently adopted a bunny and we were going away on vacation for a few days… we needed someone who was able to watch my her while we were gone. We had a very nice meet and greet with Julia and she was very flexible with where my rabbit would stay, as well as how much space she could roam around in. She offered a whole room, that would be gated at the door, for my bunny. Since the meet and greet went so well, we booked her for the days we would be traveling. She made sure there was a carpet for my bun’s feet so she wouldn’t be on the hardwood floor. She put baby plugs in the outlets so my bunny couldn’t get to them. I felt very comfortable leaving my bunny with Julia and her family, they were all very kind. They even put a camera in the room so when they weren’t with my bunny, they could always keep an eye on her. My bunny seemed very comfortable and happy with the situation and adjusted very well because of Julia’s hospitality. Julia offered everything she could to make sure my bunny had an amazing stay. We will definitely be booking Julia again!!

About: I have been a devoted animal lover and pet owner for many years, and caring for both cats and dogs has always been a true passion of mine. I understand that pets are beloved family members, each with their own unique personalities, routines, and needs, and I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own. I am dependable, compassionate, and attentive to detail. Whether your pet is an energetic dog, a playful cat, a shy rescue, or a senior or special-needs companion, I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My experience with rescue animals and special-needs pets has taught me to be especially patient and observant, allowing me to quickly notice changes in behavior or health. Nothing makes me happier than earning an animal’s trust and ensuring they receive exceptional care while their family is away. My goal is to provide not only outstanding care for your pets, but also complete peace of mind for you. As a full-time high school teacher, I maintain a structured and dependable schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the school year. This allows me to provide pet visits during the midday, if needed, and dedicated walks and care immediately after the school day. Caring for animals is an important part of my daily life. I share my home with two dogs, who enjoy their walks as soon as I return home, as well as my cats, who are part of my evening routine. This firsthand experience as a pet owner helps me understand the importance of consistency, exercise, affection, and attentive care. In addition to my availability during the school year, I have school vacations, holidays, and summers off, which provides greater flexibility to accommodate your schedule and your pets' needs. I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate, and professional care so you can feel confident that your pets are in excellent hands. I provide attentive, personalized care in your home so that your pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their regular routines. I understand that consistency is important for reducing stress and helping pets feel secure while their families are away. During each visit, I ensure that your pets have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes or potty areas, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. For dogs, this includes walks, outdoor breaks, and interactive play tailored to their energy level and needs. For cats, I provide feeding, litter box maintenance, enrichment, and quiet companionship on their terms. I am experienced in caring for rescue, senior, and special-needs pets, including administering oral medications when needed. I take the time to observe each pet’s behavior and overall well-being, and I will promptly communicate any concerns. I also respect your home and will keep feeding areas, litter boxes, and pet spaces clean and tidy. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you have peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and receiving loving, professional care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
