Your dog’s safety, happiness and comfort are our priority, and we want every stay to feel like a home from home. ❤️ 🐾 EXPERIENCE A lifetime of love and experience with dogs I had my two much-loved dogs, Zeus and Zena, from just 8 weeks old until they sadly passed away at 14½ years old, so I have genuine hands-on experience of caring for dogs throughout every stage of their lives — from energetic puppies through adulthood and into their senior years. They had completely different personalities. Zeus was reactive, which taught me a great deal about patience, recognising triggers, giving a dog space and carefully managing walks and interactions. Zena was the complete opposite — extremely friendly and loved children! With her, the challenge was managing her excitement and helping her stay calm when she wanted to greet everyone she met. As they became older, I adapted to their changing needs. Zeus developed hip dysplasia and eventually used a doggy wheelchair, while Zena used a pushchair when she could no longer manage longer walks. I made sure they could still enjoy getting outdoors and being part of everyday life while keeping them safe and comfortable. After 14½ years of having dogs by my side, the house is very quiet without them. I'm not ready to have another dog of my own, but I have plenty of love, time and space to give, and I'd love to use that to help other owners by providing a safe, caring home-from-home for their dogs. I understand that every dog is an individual. Whether they're young and energetic, older and slower, nervous, reactive or simply love lots of attention, I'll take the time to understand their routine and what makes them feel happy and secure. I have two days off during the week and finish early on another day, while my partner is home during the day. I work from home and have flexible hours, which means that your dog(s) will have constant company, care and attention the entire time. I live near the Shropshire Way and Wenlock Edge, which provide wonderful opportunities for off-lead adventures. Your dog(s) will receive at least one long walk a day for 30 mins to an hour (depending on their size, health and usual walking habits), plus 2-3 shorter walks to check out all the smells and goings on in the area while enjoying a comfort break. If you have a high-energy dog that needs two long walks a day (e.g. 2 x one hour) I can provide this for a small added fee. I've had many wonderful experiences while pet sitting, including caring for dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, ponies, alpacas, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, turtles, and even the odd snake. About: My wife and I have been dog sitting for over 5 years. This started for family and friends and grew through word of mouth. We have owned dogs for 14 years as a couple. We are looking to pet sit more often. We both work from home so there is always someone here to look after your pooch. We are a fit and healthy couple who do not smoke. We are very active and can walk your four legged friend once or twice a day for 45 mins - 1hour. (Some weekends we like to hike and your companion will be able to join us if they like walking long distances. If your dog is not up for a long walk we would adjust our schedule to suit). We live in a small cul-de-sac in Bridgnorth, at the end of our road is a coppice woodland that was rewilded in the 1960's this is an ideal area for us to walk your dog. If you would like a meet and greet then we'll be happy to go on a quick walk to show you the local area. Dogs we look after do need to be comfortable with sleeping downstairs or our little pup would get jealous! I am able to fit our doggy walks in and around work due to being able to work from home. We are able to make sure that toilet breaks can be had when needed and that we can fit in an 1hr walk at lunch time. We often walk our own dog at lunch and straight after work so can walk your pooch twice a day if needed. We are both DBS checked due to our careers. We have a fully fenced garden. We are experienced in administering medicine, having looked after a family members dog who required palliative care. We would take details of your vet and make sure your dog was looked after well incase of an emergency.
About: I have adopted 8 elderly dogs since 2012 and have loved every second of making sure they have lived their final days in comfort and with love. I currently work remotely from home so very easy to have dogs here with me - it's a very calm, safe and dog friendly environment. About: I have had experience of dogs since age 8 when my parents had 2 golden retrievers. There has only been a period of around 10 years in my life where I have not lived with dogs. I have bred rottweilers and German shepherds. I am a house husband so apart from nipping the shops, I am at home 95% of the time. We live in a rural area and within a 5 minute walk there is access to fields, woods and walks right by the wrekin. My whole life is pet care at the moment, I love it. I can do very last minute bookings so long as there can be a quick meet to establish all dogs are going to get on. I especially like big dogs and don't mind a bit boisterous / challenging. So long as they get on with my dogs. We have a good sized enclosed garden with dog flap doors which lead to the garden. I am a house husband and am at home 95% of the time. Your dog’s safety, happiness and comfort are our priority, and we want every stay to feel like a home from home. ❤️ 🐾 EXPERIENCE A lifetime of love and experience with dogs I had my two much-loved dogs, Zeus and Zena, from just 8 weeks old until they sadly passed away at 14½ years old, so I have genuine hands-on experience of caring for dogs throughout every stage of their lives — from energetic puppies through adulthood and into their senior years. They had completely different personalities. Zeus was reactive, which taught me a great deal about patience, recognising triggers, giving a dog space and carefully managing walks and interactions. Zena was the complete opposite — extremely friendly and loved children! With her, the challenge was managing her excitement and helping her stay calm when she wanted to greet everyone she met. As they became older, I adapted to their changing needs. Zeus developed hip dysplasia and eventually used a doggy wheelchair, while Zena used a pushchair when she could no longer manage longer walks. I made sure they could still enjoy getting outdoors and being part of everyday life while keeping them safe and comfortable. After 14½ years of having dogs by my side, the house is very quiet without them. I'm not ready to have another dog of my own, but I have plenty of love, time and space to give, and I'd love to use that to help other owners by providing a safe, caring home-from-home for their dogs. I understand that every dog is an individual. Whether they're young and energetic, older and slower, nervous, reactive or simply love lots of attention, I'll take the time to understand their routine and what makes them feel happy and secure. Your dog won't just be staying with me — they'll be welcomed into my home and cared for as if they were my own. ❤️🐾 I’m happy to board up to two dogs at a time, providing they are from the same household. This means your dogs can stay together in a comfortable home environment, and I can give them plenty of individual care and attention. I don’t board dogs from different households at the same time. I have two days off during the week and finish early on another day, while my partner is home during the day. Between us, we can provide plenty of company, attention, walks and care throughout the day, so your dog will rarely be left alone. We have a secure, fenced garden with plenty of space for dogs to enjoy. Some landscaping work is underway but is currently paused until next year, and the garden remains safe and secure for dogs. About: I share my home with a young Labrador who is happiest when he has another dog to play with. People always comment on how well trained he is — good manners, listens well, and he reads other dogs well. Certainly helps that he is addicted to food. On walks, energy is his default setting; other dogs are his favourite thing in the world. I am very flexible as I work from home, so I follow your routine: feeding times, meds if needed, and any house rules you set. I send updates during the stay. I’m happy to do a meet and greet before you book, so we know the dogs get on (Hank always will). Once they do, your dog gets supervised play, walks, and a tired, happy evening, all in green fields in a safe little village.
