“Lisa was friendly and took the time to get to know our very enthusiastic Labrador before his overnight stay. Communication was excellent - it's hard to think of anything that could've been better. Cooper had a lovely stay - I'm sure he was totally spoilt! Happy to recommend and we certainly plan to use Lisa again! Very impressed.”

About: I have a 1 year old cocker spaniel who I adore and want to be able to offer a safe environment to look after your pet whilst you are away. Our dog is extremely friendly but does love to play so would love to have another dog to play with occasionally. I currently work full time, but I am around evenings and weekends. My partner, Joe (pictured) who has also been approved by Rover, works shifts so between us there is always someone around to care for your dogs. I have a fenced garden and a young dog to keep your fur baby company. We have lots of toys to play with and live on the cuckoo trail to go on nice walks.
“Abbie was great, images received, very flexible and easy to deal with and I think Avi had a GREAT time, he looked very at home. My only criticism is that Avi might have preferred staying with Abbie than he does living with me.”

“Thank you!! Left our 8 month puppy in Nelsymar’s care and knew she was in good hands. She gave us many updates and reassurances. Our puppy Fern was disappointed to get in the car afterwards so we knew she had a good time 🤣 Thank you so much- would leave in your care again 😌”

“I would definitely recommend Suzie. She is super quick at responding to any messages. She collected Martha and bought her home when agreed. I was constantly reassured throughout the time she cared for Martha with photos and messages. I will definitely be wanting her to look after Martha again. Thank you Suzie .”

“Can't say enough good things about Alex and her care. She offered a lovely meet & greet beforehand and accommodated the many mobility, medication needs and quirks that come along with a 15yr old stubborn dachshund. Lovely updates and photos every day and I didn't worry at all about our fur-baby. Her home and garden are also brilliantly suited to overnight stays. We feel very lucky to have found Alex and would recommend her 1000x over.”

About: I have my own dog and also have looked after pets for friends and family in the past. I have had my own dog for over 5 years and love him dearly. I look after every pet as if it were my own. I work full time Monday - Friday 9-5 so unfortunately can’t offer care during the week although could offer the evenings if required. I have my own dog to look after in the evening and weekends and love spending time with him and taking him out for long walks and days out. I have a fully fenced garden. My own dog is crate trained but doesn’t sleep in a crate at night but does sleep in his bed in our bedroom. If your dog is crate trained we can follow their routine and ensure that this is done. My fiancé is a fellow pet lover and adores all dogs.

“Lucy was fantastic with my golden retriever. Regular photo updates were sent and couldn’t have been more accommodating. My dog got on so well with Lucy’s dog who was extremely welcoming and friendly to mine. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you :)”

About: I have always loved dogs and have been around them all my life. I am the kind of person who goes to a party and makes friends with the dog. I am a calm, gentle person and my dog’s welfare and happiness is a high priority for me. Any dog in my care will be treated as one of the family. We allow dogs on sofas and beds and our home is a peaceful haven of relaxation and love. I work a lot from home so am around during the day as well as evenings and weekends. Our day always starts with a walk in the woods, park or trail and then we chill, play and I work during the day. Evenings are often spent cuddled up on the sofa watching TV before turning in early. I have a secure, medium sized garden and dogs are allowed on furniture and beds. Esme, my 6 year old Cavapoo is calm and sociable and welcomes friends to share the sofa and bed with her. We have toys, treats and chews available to keep everyone busy and happy. Dogs will not be left for more than 4 hours and I will often take them with me if I go out.

About: Now taking bookings for February half term and the Easter holidays! PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DUE TO MY FULL-TIME DAY JOB, I AM ONLY AVAILABLE ON OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. I am a teacher so can only offer dog sitting, walking and drop-in visits services on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I also recommend a meet and greet at least one week before your booking. Taking care of dogs is the best job in the world! I've loved working on Rover for the opportunity to take care of the amazing dogs in Sussex. I am a former President of the University of Sussex Dog Walking Society and through this, I had the chance to interact with owners and fellow walkers to gain a substantial knowledge of dog care and dog breed information. I have taken care of a variety of dogs; big and small, young and old, abled and disabled so I have no issue taking care of any type of dog. I am trained in dog first aid training so you don't have to worry about any issue that may arise. Whilst working in the University of Sussex Dog Walking Society, I look after a rescue dog named Maggie and her sister Millie . They have taught me so much about dog care and the love that I have for dogs and have thus inspired me to help out other dog owners in caring for their dogs when they need it. •Please be aware that 15% of payments goes to Rover to cover ongoing support, educational opportunities, and promotion of services. Therefore, my rates are: House Sitting - £21.25 + £3.75 to Rover = £25 Dog Walking – £12.75 + £2.25 to Rover = £15 Drop-In Visits - £10.20 + £1.80 to Rover = £12 Thank you for your understanding! • Walks last for 30 minutes unless the 60 minute supplement is added by the owner. Adding the supplement gives myself and your dog(s) the opportunity to travel further afield such as to Eastbourne Beach or into the Downs. I also choose to take care of dogs from one household at a time so that I can invest my full energy towards those dogs. I am a teacher so can only offer dog sitting, walking and drop-in visits services on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I also recommend a meet and greet at least one week before your booking. During our meet and greet, I will learn as much as I can about the daily schedule of your dog(s) and how I can seamlessly enter the household without interruption. Doggy day care and dog boarding will include playtime, cuddles and interactions with other people.

About: Hello owners i have had cats throughout my life. My eldest cat passed away, he was my family cat I've had from when i was young. I will provide care, love and affection they need. I will give you photo updates throughout the day or stay!

I am currently doing a dog grooming course to learn more about dog and to spend even more time with them I’m currently working full time, but I want to start doing dog grooming and walking full time as I have always loved the idea of this. Eventually you should be about to hire me any time and any day When walking they will only walk on the path side not closes to the road this is important so there’s no chance of the dog getting to close to cars

About: Lifelong Dog Owners | Secure Garden | Friendly Resident Toller Hello! We're Lucy & Emma, a dog loving couple who have had dogs for most of our lives and understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your dog while you're away. 🐶 💖 We currently share our home with Lula, our gorgeous two year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. Lula is incredibly friendly, loving, and well socialised, and she genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs. She will be here throughout your dog's stay, providing companionship, play, and helping visiting dogs feel part of the family from day one. Over the years, we have cared for many dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. We know that being away from their owners can be a big adjustment, whether it's for a weekend or a longer holiday. Through this experience, we've learned that every dog is unique and settles into a new environment in their own way. Some dogs arrive ready to play and explore immediately, while others need a little more time and reassurance. We take the time to understand each dog's routine, preferences, and personality so we can help them feel comfortable, relaxed, and secure during their stay. Our home is clean, tidy, and fully dog friendly, with a secure, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely play, explore, and relax. We understand how reassuring it is to know your dog is happy, so we love to provide regular updates, photos, and videos during their stay. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home and giving them all the love, care, attention and fun they deserve while you're away. What a day looks like with us: We both work from home, so pet care is a natural and constant part of our daily routine. We already care for our own dog Lula throughout the day, so we’re used to regular walks, playtime, feeding, training and plenty of attention and companionship. Because we’re at home most of the time, dogs are rarely left alone and are fully integrated into our day to day life. In our home, dogs are treated as part of the family and included in our daily routine. We follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, rest, and any training or house rules. We take time to help each dog settle in and feel comfortable. We have a secure, fully fenced garden for safe outdoor play and toilet breaks where needed. We also provide regular updates with photos and messages so owners can feel reassured while they’re away.
“Georgia was so easy to communicate with. She accommodated my needs effortlessly. It was clear she was a dog lover - I had no hesitation in leaving Coco with her. She sent photos of Coco during her time with her which was lovely 🥰”

“Shirley is super caring, friendly and positive and Lilly ABSOLUTELY loves her :) it is really good not having to worry whether my baby girl is enjoying herself and keeping safe. Would super recommend :)”

“Jose looked after my husky last week and he did a brilliant job. Knowing that he used to have an Akita made me feel like he was in safe hands with him and he had a blast. He kept me updated with videos during the day and my my dog was shattered by the time he got home (which if you know the breed, that is hard to accomplish). I would highly recommend him and will definately be using his services again when the time comes. Thank you again!”

About: 40+ years of owning dogs from bassets to Rottweilers, experienced with all breeds and temperaments. I am most happy around dogs and ensure their wellbeing comes first. I am experienced in veterinary care for all animals and able to provide care for elderly paws as well as young! I am now in a position to make pet care my main career having worked in London for the past 20 years so am available to dedicate my full time to animal care. I am DBS checked, fully insured and come with great references for all pets having had jobs looking after small holdings, house sitting, dog walking and horse care.

About: My first word was Jas, our dogs name, a fact my mother frequently reminds me of. We then had Toby, a Golden Retriever who helped me learn to walk by allowing me to pull myself up using his ruff. Over the years my immediate family has had many pets and at one point we had 2 dogs, 5 cats, 9 Guinea pigs & 2 rabbits. As well as 3 children. Then there were the rats, Zippy,Bungle & George. So I have experience caring for a wide variety of fur babies. It’s been 15 years since I’ve had my own dog and now it’s just the cat & me. My eldest daughter (who lives abroad) has 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chinchillas, 2 ducks & 15 chickens. When I visit her there’s always a 4 legged furry who wants to play or is happy to cuddle. My younger daughter and my son have one dog each and as they both live in the UK I’m regularly asked to dog sit. My brother lives quite close by so I am lucky enough to have time with his adorable, ball crazy Sprocker. I am retired and recently widowed so am flexible with my availability. I have an elderly mother who lives nearby & I visit her several days a week for an hour or so. She too loves dogs & would be happy for me to take my new friends to visit her. I have a good size, secure garden to play in. I have an elderly cat who doesn’t like dogs but fortunately it is easy to segregate him to one part of the house. This works well when my grand dogs come to stay. I don’t drive so all walks would be on the lead road walks but the garden is a great place to play ball. I’m happy to dog walk or feed/cuddle/brush cats/ Guinea pigs/rabbits that live within reasonable walk (or bus ride) from my home.

About: I have worked in pet stores and vets and I’m now a fully qualified dog groomer. I have a fair amount of experience in pet sitting and walking. About: Myself and my sister have lived with big dogs and all other animals my entire life. We have lots of experience walking dogs and pet sitting all sorts of animals including snakes and livestock! Myself, Berry, has been working on a professional event yard since I was 14 (Full time since finishing a-levels) and owning my own horses and dogs, I have the ultimate experience in animal care from basic needs to knowing what to do in unusual situations. I have worked alongside my Mum during my own dog’s pregnancy and with the puppies to 9weeks. Additionally, I spent 6 months working with rescue horses at the weekends who had more medical needs so have learnt to deal with those issues calmly and efficiently. I have been house sitting for many families for the last 3 years and love meeting new pets! References can be provided if you would like! Alongside me house sitting would be my sister, 18 & can drive. She is both incredibly reliable, confident and caring around all animals. We do this together to ensure we can be available at all times for your pets. I am more than happy to provide extra services as long as I know in advance. I also slot my life into the current pets so their schedule doesn’t change as their owners being away can be stressful enough. I am an early riser so very early walks or feeding times do not bother me. If you have other animals as well as dogs or cats I can cater for them too. E.g. horses to reptiles. Myself and my sister, 18 + can drive, will both be doing the house sit together. That way, even if one of us has work your pet won’t be alone for longer than the recommended time period. If you are looking for a drop in visit for 60 minutes +, I can offer that at an addition £9 per hour for as many hours as you are wishing. Just let me know in your initial message after requesting a booking. We can easily care for whatever extra needs your pet may need in the house, garden, walk or car. Nothing phases myself or my sister.

About: I have years of pet caring experience, from dogsitting for friends whilst they’re on holiday, to assisting with my sister’s professional dog sits, and routinely walking a neighbours dog each week. I absolutely adore pets, and being around them makes me so content. I have a part time retail job, however I will try to be as flexible as possible. I work every other weekend and usually have up to four days off in a row, and I am available in mornings & evenings. I will ensure your dogs’ safety, affection, hunger, and play needs are met attentively; I will provide as much attention as needed so your dog is comfortable around me while I am caring for them.
About: I’m new to Rover and excited to start building my profile, but I’ve always loved dogs and I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive care and regular updates for owners. I’ve grown up around various dog breeds and cats, and later had a dog of my own when my children were young. I enjoyed training her to be obedient, friendly and well socialised. I’ve also regularly helped friends with dog sitting and walking, which I genuinely enjoy. I’m trusted, reliable and always happy to help care for pets. I understand the importance of interaction, play, routine and companionship, and always aim to create a loving, safe and caring environment where pets feel comfortable and relaxed. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, regular walks, feeding, playtime, affection, and a calm daily routine. Whether in my home or yours, I maintain a clean, trustworthy, stress-free environment with plenty of care, affection, supervision, and attention to each pet’s routine.
About: I have experienced with both the young and the old and happy to give medicine as required. I’m calm and caring around different natured animals My children are now grown up, giving me more time. My love for animals, allows me to help others with their animals. I have been spending time, house-sitting, as we have not currently got a dog or cat (for the first time in a very long time) and enjoying the travels to do so.. Therefore, I plan to continue, pet/housesitting, before committing ourselves to rescuing again in the future. I have experienced pets are far more settled in their own environment, therefore, I feel it’s important, for me to fit in with their needs. It depends on the owners requests, as depending on the dog or cats age and needs, I am happy to take them out locally or in my car. I am happy in the rain and love to investigate new areas and walks.

About: I’ve had family pets for as long as I can remember, particularly my two best friends: a cocker spaniel named Louie and a wonderful lady cockapoo called Bonnie. I understand dogs’ behaviours and their unique personalities, and I’m able to tailor my care to any pup and whatever quirks yours might have. I look forward to treating your dog as one of my own. 🐾🐶 I recently finished studying to become an engineer and now work a graduate job remotely from home, so I’m around throughout the day for plenty of walks and attention. My partner also works from home part-time as a freelancer, which means your dog will rarely be left alone and will always have company. We’re both active, too, so there’s plenty of exercise on offer in the evenings and at weekend I look after dogs in my own home, where they’ll be safe, comfortable, and well supervised throughout the day. We have a new-build home with a large garden that’s fully secure, enclosed by two-metre fences, so your dog can play, explore, and relax safely off-lead without any worries. With both my partner and me working from home, there’s almost always someone around to keep an eye on things and offer company. I’m also happy to follow any specific routine your dog needs, whether that’s a unique diet or a particular medication schedule, and I’ll stick to your instructions closely so your dog stays healthy, settled, and cared for just as they would be at home.
“Anna was a wonderful sitter for our dog, who just loved her. She was on time, great communication throughout and cared well for Dali Dog - what more could we ask for! We would happily book Anna again and 100% recommend her.”
