Meet Chamcham & Our Dog-Friendly Home I am a proud parent of Chamcham, my friendly, playful, and neutered 1.5-year-old Cockapoo (10 kg). I raised Chamcham from an 8-week-old puppy using positive reinforcement, lots of treats, and unconditional love. I also had a rescue dog named Caramel, who had a timid past. When the weather is nice, the garden door is kept open for free play; otherwise, I listen closely to our dogs' cues when they need a potty break. About: I have been a qualified veterinary nurse since 2002, caring for all types of pets. For a long while I have cared for friends, family and clients pets. Now that we have moved to a house with a large secure garden I have decided to start my own business. About: I have taken care of various dogs over the last 2-3 years whilst their owners are away. Most of which have boarded at my home. Since recently retiring, I am able to provide more frequent playful interaction, country walks plus plenty of love and attention with fewer interruptions. Now I'm fully retired I can focus on caring for animals without interruption from work. When dogs board, I walk them twice a day and happy to do up to 5 miles a day depending on your dog's normal routine. There are hedges around our garden and it is large enough for a dog to run around and play with a ball. There is a wet room just inside the back door suitable to wash down a dog after a muddy walk. We live in a small village surrounded by countryside with many walks across fields and through woods, so no need to drive first.

I'm currently between jobs, so have time to walk dogs and visit homes to play with pets during the week. I'm available between 9am and 5pm daily during the week, Monday to Friday. I have a large fenced garden and two border Collies. I ensure that they have plenty of water and ensure that they receive the correct amount of food, morning and night. I also take them for daily walks in the countryside as well as taking care of their intellectual and emotional needs.

I'm great with all tempers of dogs I'm starting my own business as a dog groomer though things are slow so wanted to start walking and sitting dogs. I have owned cats since I was 8 years old and understand each cat has different needs, personalities and eating preferences, with some being more shy than others. For instance, last year I looked after a very shy cat who only comes out into the open with its owners, and with a gentle and quiet approach I managed to gain the cat's trust and even managed to play with it! In my family home we have 2 rabbits which are 10 years old and live in a spacious environment and get fed lots of hay! I understand rabbits' needs very well, and used to have a blog on rabbit care - I am also familiar with RWAF's campaign 'A Hutch is not enough' and understand rabbits' needs for a social companion and a spacious environment to run and play in. Dogs I am very comfortable looking after dogs of all sizes and I'm familiar with positive-reinforcement training techniques so I'm happy to continue any ongoing training with your dog. When I am house-sitting, I like to take dogs out for at least 2 walks a day, and depending on the dog's needs and recall ability I endeavour to take them to local dog parks for a run-around and play. I regularly ensure water bowls are topped up, especially in hot weather, and will work alongside the owner to maintain a desired feeding/treat schedule depending on your preferences. In the house, I like to play tug, fetch and enrichment games with dogs to keep them occupied, and of course lots of love and cuddles if the dog prefers it! I offer house sitting, drop-in sessions and dog walking. Cats Like with dogs, cats come with all sorts of different personalities! I believe cats require a more gentle and subdued approach than with most dogs (unless the dog is nervous), allowing them to come up to you in their own time rather than approaching them. I offer drop-in sessions and overnight sitting. Rabbits I understand a rabbit's physiological need to be constantly eating, which is why I will always ensure they have more than enough hay to eat. I will feed your rabbit, top up their water and offer them company, letting them out of their hutch into a secure area to run around if necessary. I offer drop-in sessions and overnight sitting.

I am on a hybrid work schedule meaning some days I am in London and other days I work from home and am available during the day for pet care. I crate train my own dog and am working on training her to be a working gun dog , so a lot of work has gone into her training, but I am happy to follow the client’s lead with how they would like their dog to be cared for. I have also looked after other people’s dogs for weeks at a time and they have relied on me to walk, play, care for, bathe and make sure their pup is kept in the best hands. I am working part time from home so have plenty of time to give attention to and care for your pup. I always make sure I have enough time to give to the animal I’m looking after before anything. I have a fenced garden which is nicely sized, I can fit a crate in if needed but enough room in the bed for them too.

About: James and Toni have both had family dogs throughout our lives. James has a 14 year old black lab at his parents who we look after and miss not being around every day! James is self employed so can fit his schedule around the dogs. Early start so is home in the afternoons. Toni works from home 2 days a week which is flexible. We have an open plan downstairs with lots of space, and a stair gate to keep the dogs downstairs. We have an enclosed garden with space to explore.
