“Lidia is very warm and communicative, and made a big fuss of our dog Bella on arrival, so she settled in really well. She has a lovely self contained garden and Bella was free to go im and out at will. She seemed very relaxed and happy when I picked her up, and communication was great before, during and after Bella’s stay. We’ll hope to see Lidia again.”

“Joy had a wonderful time with Rachel and her family. Rachel was brilliant at keeping us updated on Joy's adventures with pictures and messages and we will 100% be booking again. Thanks Rachel :)”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8, looking after our family dog daily. For the past two years, I’ve regularly cared for my boyfriend’s puppy, including solo walks, holidays together, and plenty daily walks, even on the beach! I truly love dogs and, after losing my own, I want to share that love by helping others care for theirs. I’m careful, attentive, and very aware of my surroundings on walks. I live close to many beautiful short and long walking routes in the lakes and have both a large, secure garden and a safely fenced courtyard for dogs. I have a flexible part-time job and work self-employed two days a week, so my availability can often be adjusted. I’m available most weekday evenings and usually every other weekend and I’m always happy to work out what’s best for you and your dog. I love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always prioritise trust, attention, and enjoyable walks! I will make sure things are easy and stress-free for both dogs and their owners :)
“Arlo loved being with Caragh, James & Minnie. Taking him up to their farm during the daytime took him out of his usual routine & introduced him to other dogs and animals, such as cows & sheep. No doubt he was ready for his bed after days on the farm & charging around a paddock chasing sticks. He also got to interact with Caragh's daughters which was good experience for him as he doesn't normally get to up close to children. All in all, Arlo's stay with Caragh was a great sucess and we will be doing it again!”

“Daisy 2nd day care with Liv and she had so much fun playing with her doggies going on a little adventure walk and overall just having doggy fun. Lots of updates which is always lovely helps out my mind at rest as I hate leaving her but I know she is in safe and loving hands. Thanks Liv xx”

“This was the first time we have used Rover. Diana was the perfect host for our Cairn Terrier Mac. He got see lots of cool parks. And we were updated daily with great photos. He came back a very happy chappy. We would highly recommend Diana.”

“Jane was lovely, really communicative and responsive when booking. She was lovely with our dog and kept us updated with pictures and messages while he was with her. It was easy to arrange to collect him. Thanks!”

“Matt and Zoe were wonderful with Jolene! They walked her miles, showered her with treats, and really made a giant fuss of her. They were friendly and proactive in communication with us, and sent us loads of photos of our sweet girl.”

About: Since I can remember, I have been the go-to dog sitter for my family's wide range of dogs. I will provide a safe and nurturing environment for your dog so that you can enjoy your time away stress-free. I'm always willing to make any adaptations according to the nature of your dog, so feel free to ask. I am in the fortunate position to be able to adapt my work schedule and also to work from home when needed so I can ensure that your dog gets the best care. While I live in a flat, we have a small fenced area for off-lead play (if you would like that for your dog) and some nice green areas locally for leaded walks. I have a sofa which dogs are welcome to use if (and only if) you say it's allowed.
About: I grew up with a dog for 15 and a half years, which had a profound impact on me. I decided to pursue dog training after adopting a Boxer, a decision I've never regretted. I've learned a great deal about myself, including my insecurities, strengths, and how dogs and horses perceive me. It's been an invaluable experience that I've refined more and more throughout my life. I can care for dogs of any size and age, though they should be at least one year old. If needed, I can train young dogs and also care for older ones. I can also administer oral medications and give your Sweetie a soft & calming massage. In 2018 and 2021, I adopted two rescued Greyhounds whose calm and balanced nature has helped many other dogs. Even though they sometimes get excited at dog meetups, they always manage to build a stable relationship. This invaluable talent has brought us many friends on our daily walks. My two sweeties have become important members of various dog groups / packs and are, of course, always welcome among people. I am also available to help with nearly any behavioural issues you may encounter with your dog. How to read a dog's body language? How do I train my dog not to pull on the leash all the time? Why does my dog bark even when there's (obviously) no reason to? Would you like to change this unwanted behaviour in your beloved pet? Talk to me. I work from my home office in the mornings. At midday, I take my two Greyhounds for a walk, and they always enjoy sharing this time with new friends. They are both extremely friendly and outgoing, even with small dogs. Then it's garden time, perhaps some training, or playtime with friends like a Giant Schnauzer or a Whippet at my house. So there's always something going on, and after all that romping around, a cool bed on the lawn is just what's needed. I have a fenced garden, live in a quiet area with very friendly neighbours, I offer lounging areas, cooling mats in the summer, and a separate feeding area.
“Bobby has had a two night stay with Nicola while we attended a wedding. We got regular updates and pictures, and he has clearly enjoyed his stay. He has been well looked after and Nicola obviously loves the dogs she cares for. We will definitely use Nicola in the future if we need accommodation for Bobby.”

“I was looking for a sitter to watch our little Banksy whilst we went on holiday. I am so so pleased with how well he has been looked after, i received constant updates and pictures of our pooch and i knew he was in safe hands. The whole process from start to finish was amazing and went so smoothly. Chelsea and Andy are fantastic dog sitters and if your pup likes other dogs then this is a little holiday for them aswell. 10/10 review, will be using chelsea and Andy again every single time we go away. Couldn’t have asked for a more amazing family to give Banksy the best week ❤️ From Scarlett and Tom”

“Finlay had a lovely stay with John and his family and came back happy and relaxed. John kept us updated with photos so we could see that Finlay was having fun and being well cared for. We would recommend John to anyone.”

“Ellen took such wonderful care of Tamu, she took her on lots of walks and gave her heaps of attention so she came home very content! She also kindly stayed in regular touch sending pictures, I am very grateful to Ellen and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to look after their dog and will certainly be using her in the future - thanks!”

About: We had a dog as children I later owned two dogs, Daisy and Bongo (in photo gallery). In Italy, where I managed a study centre, I looked after the owners dog during their winter absence. In Yorkshire I worked in the office and house of a stud farm and looked after Bonzo the office dog. Recently, for 4 years, I walked, swam and went on adventures with a lovely bearded collie, Nelson, until he died, which was heart breaking. John, his owner, has provided a reference. Last year I joined a house sitting site and had a great year. I first looked after Rhubarb, in Yorkshire. a sun worshipper who knew when she wanted to go for a walk, and when she didn't. Then it was Reggie, a one year old terrier who kept me on my toes and was an absolute character. Then it was Knaresborough with Mollie and Maisie, the cutest, sweetest most loving pair. Lula was an anxious little Tibetan terrier who liked sleeping, a lot, and going for quiet walks on Ilkley Moor and in the woods. She even decided the river was quite nice to chill in. They all feature in the rogues gallery. Two of the owners have given references. Having lived all over the world I returned to the UK to retire. I am available from mid March until the end of October/mid November - I don't do English winters. I am totally free of commitments and can dog sit in someone's home for one to three weeks but am flexible on dates. I prefer countryside sits in new places, Yorkshire, Lakes, Lancashire coast. I could have your dog stay with me, if I am not booked on an away stay. Only older smaller dogs to stay with me please. I live opposite the beach so plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. I love the countryside, walking, swimming, reading, creative writing and painting - so am equally as happy sitting at home quietly if your dog is more of a home body! Last year was great. I had the company of some fabulous dogs. We visited National Trust properties. Walked favourite places. Explored woods. Swam in rivers. Went on car trips. Hung around in the garden at home. Had grooming sessions and belly rubs, well that's the dogs, not me. And cuddled on the couch. I met some adorable dogs and lovely owners and visited some fantastic places. I'm hoping for more of the same this year. I absolutely love dogs and for some reason dogs always adore me, even the anxious little Lula took to me straight away. All dogs are different and I'm happy to follow feeding and walking regimes. I'm good at ball throwing, belly rubbing, grooming, cuddling up and watching TV in the evenings.
“Reece was a lovely sitter, from our meet and greet he put both Lilly and myself at ease. Lilly really enjoyed her stay and was all bouncy and happy around Reece. Thank you Reece for making Lilly feel at home.”

“Excellent! While lumi can be nervous around new people, it was amazing seeing daily updates of her coming out of her shell with Alex & Matt! True care, love and attention. Thank you for being awesome!”

“Pete is truly a dog lover and one of, if not the best, dog sitters anywhere. He gave our high energy pups considerable attention, long walks, and love. He gave us peace of mind with status updates and gorgeous photos… the photos were professional grade! We can’t recommend Pete enough! Archie and Edward look forward to their next holibob with Pete!”

“Jules is an absolute gem. My cat Maggie is notoriously wary of new people, so finding a sitter I could genuinely trust felt daunting — but Jules completely put my mind at ease from the start. She took real time before I left to visit and get to know Maggie properly, which made such a difference, especially given how specific Maggie’s routines are. It was clear Jules actually listened and cared about getting it right. While I was away she kept me updated throughout, which was exactly what I needed. Maggie was happy, settled, and clearly well looked after. Knowing I have someone reliable to call on in future is such a weight off — and for the quality of care Jules provides, the price is genuinely excellent value. Couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“Apollo had a great time staying with Jane for the day! It was also very reassuring how much she communicated with me, given how long it had been since I last popped Apollo in daycare. I felt very relaxed knowing she was looking after him. Thank you Jane, Apollo was snoring the whole way home! 🤩”

“Fraser had a wonderful time with Flora. She was excellent at communicating and even made time for a meet and greet beforehand and took the time to understand Fraser’s routines and ask questions. Her flat has a very secure outdoor space, and she took Fraser for two walks. Fraser immediately fell asleep when we got home and was still tired all of the next day! I will defiantly be booking Flora again.”

About: My website highlights stories of the dogs I’ve taken care of at Windermere Dog Sitting and I can provide documentation for home boarding licence, DBS check and professional pet business insurance. I work part time as an online nutritionist so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs too. We usually go out for 2-3 nature walks a day. I have a secure garden and plenty of toys, fluffy bedding and a very clean and tidy home. Amber (my young cockapoo) is the only other being in my household.
“Fantastic sitter, no hassle. Got updates though out the day and photos which I always like. Pod walk given. Very friendly. Will use again if this way. Highly recommend. Thank you, Milo loved staying 😊”

“Chelsea and her family made me feel very safe and comfortable leaving my pair of mad Cocker Spaniels with them for doggy day care. They are clearly able to provide a safe, caring environment for visiting dogs. The pictures posted were great and helped so much to reassure that your precious loved pets are happy and cared for. I was easily able to get in touch with Chelsea when I was late picking the dogs up and communication with her was easy.”

“Matt and Zoe are the tag team of dreams. They had our show cocker Cassie for the first time this week and she just loved it there. She got some amazing walks, treats and lots of attention and by the time her daycare had come to an end, she sulked because she didn't want to leave! All the signs of a good experience. Zoe and Matt are really lovely, accommodating and were kind enough to let us visit them beforehand so we could see where she would be etc. communication was also top tier. Couldn't recommend them enough! ✨🥰”

“Thanks Reece for taking care of our little dog Teddy at short notice. Ted seemed entirely at home, and I appreciated that she had company all day, getting to explore the garden, snooze on the beds and even get a little walk - Reece was great at providing updates and photos, and super friendly.”

“Little old Archie is 13 and lives with elderly owners so he flourished from his time with Sarah and her family in their lovely home and came home rejuvenated. We had a very short notice booking and Sarah went above and beyond to accommodate Archie allowing for my ineptitude on the Rover App. Sarah sent lovely pictures and videos of a happy Archie which certainly made his owners happy.
