“Archie has stayed with Alix quite a few times now. This time he stayed with Alix (and Toby 🐶 ) for 2 weeks while we went away - the longest we have left him. Alix sent us lots of photos and kept us up to date with how he was doing, so we didn’t worry at all about him. He gets on so well with Toby too. He came home a very happy boy, after having a fortnight of him and Toby playing. Totally recommend Alix if you want your dog to have an enjoyable stay 🥰. About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have grown up with dogs and now own the most wonderful cavapoo, Callie, who is just over 1 year old. I have been looking after dogs in and around Cambridge for the last year and a half on other platforms and would love to meet new doggos and humans through Rover. We got Callie as a puppy and so are well aware of the needs of young puppies and I am more than happy to do dog training whilst your companion is in my care. My last dog lived to the grand age of 16 and so I am also sensitive to older dogs and making them comfortable. My work is flexible and so I can look after dogs as and when required with very few exceptions from weekly work commitments. Weekends and evenings are always free. I own my home which has a good sized garden with 6-foot fence. I live opposite a play park and so are not close to any busy road. With my own dog I am relaxed with where she goes - on sofas, beds, etc. She does sleep in a crate but we have also had dogs sleep on the bed with me as well.

About: Caring for animals has always been important to me. I’ve spent time looking after dogs for family, friends, neighbours, plus my own, in the past. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved whilst their owners are away. About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and have been personally caring for them for over 10 years. I trained my own Labrador from a puppy into the lovely adult she is today, so I’m confident with puppy behaviour, routine and gentle guidance 🫶🏼. Unfortunately I had to leave my Labrador, Maisie in the care of my parents, as I moved from Ireland to here in the UK, which has left me missing her terribly and wanting to give that love to other’s dogs 💗 I’ve also cared for senior dogs, including my childhood dog who was deaf and partially blind, which taught me patience and attentive care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet as if they were my own! I currently work part-time, which means I’m fully available for walks and drop-in visits on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9am–8pm. I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, or evening visits within those hours and will always aim to be flexible where possible. I always stick closely to their usual routine to keep them feeling safe and comfortable. Whether it’s walks, feeding, toilet breaks or playtime, I make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I have grown up with many pets over my lifetime from rabbits, to dogs, to cats. I love all animals but cats share a special place in my heart. So much so that once I got my own place it wasn’t long before my partner and I adopted two cats of our own; Bella and Albie. When we adopted them they were semi-feral but with a lot of love, time and patience they have come out of their shells and are now permanently by our sides. About: I've grown up always having cats around. First it was Minty, who my parents adopted just as I was born. She lived a very happy 16 years. And when I was 14 we took on 2 wonderful black sister kittens- Inka and Misty. They are still happy and thriving to this day at my mum's house in Soham. I live in Newmarket now, but when my mum and her hubby go away, they always turn to me for the cat sitting, knowing they've left the house in very capable hands. And, knowing that the cats will be in very cuddly arms! 2 years ago my mum adopted the senior cat Mabel. She has a few issues, the poor thing. Unfortunately I had to leave my Labrador, Maisie in the care of my parents, as I moved from Ireland to here in the UK, which has left me missing her terribly and wanting to give that love to other’s dogs 💗 I’ve also cared for senior dogs, including my childhood dog who was deaf and partially blind, which taught me patience and attentive care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet as if they were my own! I currently work part-time, which means I’m fully available for walks and drop-in visits on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9am–8pm. I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, or evening visits within those hours and will always aim to be flexible where possible. I always stick closely to their usual routine to keep them feeling safe and comfortable. Whether it’s walks, feeding, toilet breaks or playtime, I make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I’ve raised my own Labrador from a puppy, so I understand how important consistency, patience and positive reinforcement are. I aim to leave both pets and owners feeling happy and reassured.
