Caroline provided care for our dog during our recent holiday for a week. Our dog is a good boy but he has a tendency to bark and struggles with some other dogs. Caroline went above and beyond with making us feel comfortable about leaving him with her for the week and provided plenty of videos and photos of him during our time away. We are now totally confident in using her services and will do so next time we want to go away.

About: I have always owned dogs and have a genuine passion for their care and wellbeing. I also previously worked as a veterinary nurse for the RSPCA, giving me valuable experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can trust, and I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m confident handling dogs, recognising their individual needs and making sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable while in my care. I work part time from home and am flexible, so easy to for me to fit pet care around my schedule. I make sure any bookings get my full attention and I love having animals as part of my daily routine. I offer drop in visits to make sure pet are happy and well looked after in their own home. I’ll follow their normal routine- whether that’s feeding, topping up water, letting them out for a toilet break, or just giving them some company and attention. I always aim to keep things calm and reassuring, especially if a pet is shy or nervous. Every visit is tailored to what your pet needs to feel safe and settled whilst your’re away. I also offer dog walking and home boarding. I’m happy to give your dog a good walk, some company and plenty of fuss, or have them stay with us in a home from home environment whilst your away. I had a last-minute trip abroad and found myself in a bit of a panic about what to do with my 3-month-old Cockapoo, Barry. I started looking into local kennels, but I quickly realized they weren’t the kind of place I wanted for my little guy—cold concrete floors and steel cages, with extra fees for a few minutes of play or attention. That wasn’t the environment I felt comfortable leaving Barry in, so I began searching for a better option. That’s when I found Rover and, more importantly, Charlotte! After messaging her about availability, we arranged to meet, and I couldn’t have been happier. Charlotte was so friendly and bubbly, instantly putting me at ease. She asked all the right questions about Barry—his training, his care needs—and told me about her own experience with dogs. I left feeling completely confident that Barry would be in safe, caring hands. During his stay, Barry not only bonded with Charlotte but also made friends with her Mum, and her dog Luna, who Charlotte had told me about and I agreed to them meeting (and hopefully getting along for play!). They had a blast together—forest walks, playtime, and even a seaside adventure where Barry got to dash around the sand and splash in the waves. Charlotte kept me updated with sweet texts and tons of adorable photos, showing Barry living his best life. Now that Barry has a new buddy in Luna, we’re even planning some future walks together, which I know will be fantastic for Barry and help him stay comfortable with Charlotte for future stays. A huge thank you to Charlotte (and Luna!) for taking such great care of my little buddy. I couldn’t be more grateful!

About: Dogs have always been at the heart of my life and caring for them has never simply been something I do - it is who I am. For me, this is not just a service, it is a privilege. I understand that every dog is a cherished member of the family and I treat each one with the same love, patience, kindness and unwavering devotion that I gave to my own. For 13 wonderful years, I was blessed to share my life with my beautiful Cavapoo, Colby. He was my constant companion, my best friend and I will always feel incredibly honoured that he chose me every day. The bond we shared shaped the way I care for animals and reinforced my belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, loved and completely at ease. Following Colby's passing, I found myself deeply missing the daily joy of giving that love and care to a dog. It is this, more than anything, that inspired me to begin this new chapter. My aim is not simply to offer dog boarding, walking and house sitting, but to provide a home-from-home experience where every dog receives genuine affection, individual attention and the highest standard of care, as though they were my own. My experience extends well beyond everyday care. During Colby's later years, he bravely lived with heart failure, requiring an extensive and carefully managed medication regime. I administered multiple medications with precision, consistency and dedication while closely monitoring his health, comfort and changing needs. This experience has given me invaluable confidence in caring for senior dogs, administering medication and supporting dogs with ongoing medical conditions, always with patience, compassion and meticulous attention to detail. When you dog is in my care, they will be treated as my own family - with warmth, gentleness and genuine affection. My promise is to provide not only a safe and reliable service, but a nurturing environment where you dog feels secure, loved and truly at home 🐶❤️ I provide full-time, dedicated care tailored entirely to your dog's individual needs and routine. Whether they enjoy long walks and playtime, gentle companionship, plenty of cuddles and love, or simply a quiet place to relax, my focus is always on ensuring they feel safe, happy and loved. I offer house sitting in your home, boarding, drop in and dog walking throughout the week, including weekends and I am committed to maintaining your dog's usual routine as closely as possible to provide comfort, consistency and complete peace of mind while you are away. Safety, trust and a calm, secure environment are at the very heart of my care. I have no other pets or children in the home, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed setting for your dog. My property benefits from a walled, secure garden and I am fortunate to be situated in a beautiful village with a country park and woodland walks right on my doorstep, offering safe, enriching and varied outdoor experiences in nature.

About: Hello, I’m Katie, and I understand how important it is to find the right person to care for your dog, so you can have real peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have two of my own, a chocolate Labrador and a Border Terrier, so I’m very used to different personalities and needs. My Border Terrier can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, which has given me a good understanding of how to support dogs who need a bit more patience and reassurance. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. My days follow a calm, consistent routine that balances activity and rest. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure dogs are happy in the environment and get along well with my two dogs. I’m only able to accept dogs that are friendly and well socialised, and am happy to accommodate exclusive bookings upon request. I can also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy, settled and well cared for.

About: What on earth is a kahu I hear you ask - a kahu is a Hawaiian word for someone who acts as a guardian and protector of precious things, including furry souls. I have 35 years of experience caring for and loving all kinds of furry friends (including some unexpected rescues) dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, a squirrel, a cockerel, cockatiel and budgies and horses. Some of them all at once! I work from home mostly, (set office day once a week), and so I have the capacity and time to take care of other furry friends alongside Blue and Libs (my two rescues adopted as puppies, now almost 8 and 5 years old). I have a fenced garden and a home-from-home approach to caring for guests. Blue and Libs are both spayed and vaccinated and are used to meeting new friends, although an intro beforehand is always a good plan to make sure everyone is happy. Unfortunately, we can't help with cats as Blue and Libby are unsure how they feel about feline friends and it's important that everyone feels safe here.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who is great at adapting to different temperaments. Whether your dog is super energetic or a bit shy, I know how to make them feel comfortable and safe. I take your specific instructions very seriously! I’m happy to follow exact feeding routines, dietary needs, and any special 'house rules' you have. I’ll make sure your pet’s schedule stays exactly the way they like it so you can relax while you're away. Since I work from home, pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine! I am available throughout the day for constant company and supervision. I structure my breaks around your pet's needs, ensuring they get regular outdoor time in my garden and two long walks (30–60 minutes each) at the nearby park. Your dog will never be left alone for long periods. I provide a safe and loving home environment with a secure, fenced garden where your dog can enjoy some freedom. I have my own dog who is very friendly and loves having playmates, but I can also easily separate them if needed. I am extremely careful with feeding instructions and house rules to ensure your pet feels secure and right at home while staying with me.

I had a very good experience. I felt comfortable leaving my cat, Freya, in Mike's care and was confident that she was safe and well looked after while I was away. Everything went smoothly, and Freya seemed happy and relaxed when I returned. Communication was easy, and Mike sent plenty of cute photos and videos, which was very reassuring. It was clear that she was being properly cared for, and I would happily trust Mike with Freya again in the future.

Rue & James were both lovely, they kept us updated throughout with messages and pictures of Thanos, which was great for our peace of minds. Thanos can be a scaredy cat, so it was so nice to see how his friendship with Rue was progressing and seeing him more relaxed with her by end of the week. I'd definitely recommend them both and I'll be booking them to look after Thanos, next time we're away.

About: I have years of experience looking after pets of friends, my own, and through word of mouth I have house sat for many others. I have looked after and helped train dogs of varying ages including those with challenging behaviour. I have developed a good understanding of canine behaviour in this time and I ensure every dog in my care receives the attention, patience, and love they deserve. I love all animals whether they are furry, feathered, or scaly, and I understand they all come with their own unique personalities and needs. I will ensure your pet feels safe and loved in my care. *I am also DBS cleared and have my Canine First Aid certificate, for extra peace of mind.* I work just three days a week for a couple of hours cleaning, which means your dog will never be left alone for long periods. Outside of that, pet care is my main focus, so I’m able to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day. This allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and ensure your dog feels comfortable, cared for while you’re away. I have a large, fenced in garden, with a forest that lies out back. Perfect for little or large adventures. We have one other dog that has use of the garden but does not share the same living space. I can keep the dogs separate if needed or if your pup likes company I’m sure they will love our little girl.

About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

I look forward to hearing from you! Currently working part-time from home (design/printmaker), so I have plenty of moments during my day for connection and care. I have 1 daughter, so will be on school runs 8–8.15AM & 3.30–4PM, which your dogs are welcome to join me for (sometimes I run the route, if your dogs are athletic –aprx 3km). We have 2 resident mini sausage dogs, but prefer to keep them in their own part of the house if other dogs are much larger. I have a large, fenced garden for your friend to explore and run about in! The property is situated close to several lovely walking trails in fields and forests.

About: I own and run Molly’s Dachshund Club: specialist home-from-home day care and overnight boarding, exclusively for dachshunds. This is not generic dog boarding, it is breed-specific care designed around the unique needs, quirks and wellbeing of miniature and standard sausage dogs. We are fully licensed, fully insured, trained in canine first aid, and operate to professional standards with documented care procedures, emergency protocols and welfare-focused policies in place, so you can feel confident your dog is in safe, capable hands. I run Molly Walks Club, a free dachshund walking community, and host The Dachshund Clinic podcast, where I share insights around dachshund health, behaviour and wellbeing. My background in behavioural training means I understand how to work with nervous, excitable, stubborn, sensitive and strong-willed dachshunds in a calm, confident and supportive way. Because I run my businesses from home, your dog is never left in a busy kennel environment or with minimal supervision. They enjoy constant companionship, structured care and a calm, cosy home environment designed with dachshunds in mind, including ramps for little legs, quiet rest spaces and plenty of comfort. Our resident dachshund, Molly, is the self-appointed CEO of the household and an excellent hostess. She is incredibly social and particularly brilliant at helping nervous or unsure dogs settle in, often gently guiding them into the pack and helping them feel safe. Every stay includes tailored countryside walks designed for dachshunds. We focus on safe exploration, enrichment, confidence building and appropriate exercise rather than exhausting long-distance walks. Quiet woodland trails, countryside routes and plenty of sniffing opportunities are all part of the experience. Animals have always been part of my life, with over thirty years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I volunteered at a veterinary practice when I was young for six years, giving me additional practical grounding in animal care and welfare. For dachshunds with IVDD or additional support needs, I also offer respite care where appropriate. If your dog needs extra care, just let me know so we can make sure the right support is in place. Safe care. Specialist understanding. Happy dachshunds. Peace of mind for owners. 🐾 Key Business Details 4-Star Council Licensed Home Boarding & Day Care Fully Insured Canine First Aid Qualified I work from home and my own dachshund, Molly, is the centre of my world. My day is already structured around her needs, so caring for other daxies simply becomes part of that same rhythm. Mornings usually start with breakfast and a 30-min walk where the little legs can explore, sniff and move at a relaxed pace. The rest of the day is a mix of companionship, playtime, enrichment, naps and garden breaks, with the dogs always nearby while I work. Because I am home throughout the day, the dogs are never left alone and get plenty of attention, reassurance and supervision. The routine is calm and predictable, which dachshunds tend to respond to really well. Late afternoons and evenings are relaxed with a longer walk, usually at a woodlands, and garden time, followed by cosy downtime in the house. It is very much a home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family rather than being kept in a kennel style setting. Dogs staying with me are cared for as part of the household. They stay inside the home with plenty of cosy spaces to rest, relax and feel safe, and I keep the number of dogs small so everyone gets proper attention and supervision. Because I work from home, the dogs are not left alone and are always nearby throughout the day. I pay close attention to each dog's temperament, energy level and comfort so they settle in at their own pace. Some dachshunds are confident straight away, while others need a little more time, and that is completely fine. My own dachshund Molly plays a big role in helping visiting dogs feel comfortable. She is very social and particularly good with nervous dogs, often helping them settle into the pack naturally. Walks are done in quiet woodland or countryside areas where the environment is calm and safe for dachshunds. I always prioritise slow paced walks suitable for little legs and make sure dogs are secure and supervised at all times. We will work up to off-lead walks, and I will keep your babies on-lead until we are both comfortable with being off-lead. Once they are off lead, they naturally move in a pack, which means that they stick together. Molly's recall is great, so if I need them back close to me, they will all come together. Having grown up with animals and spent time volunteering in a veterinary clinic when I was younger, I am also comfortable recognising when a dog may be stressed, uncomfortable or unwell. I have a good understanding of basic dog first aid and always prioritise the wellbeing, safety and happiness of every dog in my care.

About: Hi, I’m Danielle! I had my gorgeous French Bulldog for 9.5 years, so I have lots of first-hand experience with the extra care and attention brachycephalic breeds can need. I’ve also previously pet-sat alongside my flatmate, caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. I work part-time from home and live with my mum and brother, so I’m home most of the time and can offer plenty of company, cuddles and supervision. I know every dog has their own little routine, personality and quirks — and I’ll genuinely listen to you about yours! No instruction is too weird or overly specific. If your dog likes something done a particular way, that’s how I’ll do it. 🤍 I’m particularly confident with Frenchies and other brachy breeds, including being mindful of breathing, temperature, exercise, feeding and knowing when something doesn’t seem quite right. I also know how nerve-racking it can be leaving your dog with somebody else, so you can expect regular communication, photos and little check-ins while they’re with me. 🐶📸 I work part-time from home and, due to living with an autoimmune illness, I naturally spend a lot of my time at home, so your dog will have plenty of company and rarely be left alone. 🤍 On weekdays I enjoy two gentle local walks each day, with lots of time at home for garden breaks, cuddles, play and relaxing together. At weekends, my mum, brother and I often enjoy little trips to a garden centre, coffee shop, park or occasionally the beach, and I’d be very happy for your dog to join us if that’s something they enjoy too! Everything will always be adapted to your dog’s usual routine, age and needs — particularly with brachycephalic breeds. Walks and outings will be adjusted or avoided during hot weather, and I’m very mindful of temperature and breathing. My home is very dog-friendly, with a completely secure fenced garden, gates on doors/stairs where needed, and plenty of cosy places to relax. I also have steps for getting on and off the sofa and a dog buggy available for dogs with IVDD, back problems or limited mobility. My main approach is to make their stay feel as much like home as possible. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine, feeding times, sleeping arrangements, medication and house rules — even the little quirks that might sound silly to anyone else! If they’re crate-trained, I’m happy to use their crate, and if they’re used to sleeping in bed with someone, they’re welcome to do that too. 🤍 Safety is really important to me. Dogs will always be kept on lead outside of secure areas, I’m cautious around unfamiliar dogs, and I’m particularly attentive to any existing health conditions or changes in behaviour, breathing, eating or general wellbeing. If anything concerns me, however small, I’ll contact you straight away rather than assuming it’s nothing. I’ll also keep you updated as much or as little as you’d like, with regular photos, messages and check-ins so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and being very well looked after. 🐾

About: Hi, I'm Zy! (If you said my name right, it should rhyme with 'hi') I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I grew up with multiple dogs, including large and giant breeds, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups to calmer, more sensitive dogs. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family—from small Maltipoos and Staffies to Spaniels and Retrievers—providing walks, daycare, and overnight stays. I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and personalities. My approach is calm, patient, and attentive. I focus on building trust, reading behaviour, and creating a safe, relaxed environment. Whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or slower strolls and quiet companionship, I’ll tailor their care to suit them (snuggles on the sofa are always welcome!) I don’t currently have any pets, which means your dog/s will have my full attention in a calm, one-on-one setting. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and will always keep you updated for peace of mind. I am currently working part-time which means I have free days to spend playing with your pets, taking them for walks, snuggles and generally having a great time together. I'm typically available midweek onwards for daycare, walks, and boarding, with my calendar being regularly updated. Currently, I am limiting to 1 pet (from one family) at a time (if you have multiple pets from the same family I am open to caring for them at the same time), meaning your pet/s will have my undivided attention. I have a fully fenced farmland garden that can be fully seen from the living space. Open plan kitchen/living room so your fur baby (whether the purr or bark) will have more than enough room to roam around and play. I have access to a play pen too should you feel your pet would prefer this/ be more suitable. I have spare to be able to easily set up a crate if your pet needs this too. For walks while boarding, I'm very closely located to quiet public trails/ footpaths/ fields to allow for calm, regular walks - perfect for shy or slightly unpredictable doggies. For dog walking - I'm physically fit, attend the gym regularly, and have experience in walking my families giant dog (a Caucasian mountain dog - very large, very strong). Duration of walks required is open for discussion to best suit your dog :)

I have dog sat and dog walked for people a few times. I have worked in childcare for 3+ years and I still am. I have availability on Mondays. I am available some evenings after work at 5pm and I am available at weekends. I love all dogs and other small animals. I would prefer to dogsit at the owners home (s) if possible. I would make sure that food that is not dog food is out of reach and they wouldn't climb on anything, furniture etc. that they are not supposed to.

Maggie had the best time with Leah! I was kept updated with pictures and could see she had a lovely time and well looked after, I felt really confident she was in safe hands. Thank you so much!

We are so grateful to Vicky & Amber for hosting our lovely Mini during our vacation! It’s been last minute request and all went so well at the end! Mini was taken a good care, with daily photos and videos shared with us. We were so pleased to see her enjoying her time and lots of play with Mowgli mastering tug of war 😆🐾

Chiara was amazing with Bonnie! She sent us lots of pictures and updates. She also made sure Bonnie was not alone on New Year's as she is very scared of the fireworks. Highly recommend!

Simon put us at ease straight away and Jeffrey was at home from home. Jeffrey appeared to settle in well and Simon sent regular photos. We were very happy with the care Jeffrey received whilst staying with Simon and we would definitely book him again in the future. Thank you Simon and family

Charlotte and her family made our boy so welcome, looked after him so well and he came home a very happy boy after a lovely stay with them. Great communication and it was really helpful to have a meet and greet before the stay. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
