About: I have just said farewell to my 15 year old Springer Spaniel and whilst I am not yet ready for a new companion I would love to look after your dog whilst you're on holiday. I recently retired and so available to take care of your dog all day, every day. I am used to walking 5+ miles a day and your pet will get at least 3 walks per day (if required/heat permits) and will be rarely left alone (if Sitting/boarding/day care). About: I have had dogs in my life for over 30 years now. I started off with a part time job as a kennel maid and have now progressed to having 3 golden retrievers of my own, Indi, Orla and Samphire who is the tearaway!. I often look after their friends when the dog parents go awa on holiday. It can be travelling in the car or nearby across the fields. I often use secure dog paddocks so that I can train at the same time as having fun. The garden is fenced and secure and there is a locked back gate. The dogs have beds in most rooms and there is nothing off limits except when muddy !

I’m available during the week anytime as I work part time for myself currently and so am flexible with my time and we can take on last minute bookings. I care for my Sproodle Fudge, he’s nine years old. Through my childhood I’ve grown up with Afghan hounds and appreciate the love and care dogs require. As an ex nurse, I do not have any concerns about giving medications or looking after the safety of your pets.

Over the years, I’ve cared for everything from high energy pups to older dogs who just need a slow stroll and gentle attention. While I’m new to offering pet care through Rover, I bring decades of hands-on experience from raising and looking after dogs within my own family. I occasionally get help from my husband and nephew, who are also lifelong dog owners, but I personally handle all Rover bookings and communication to make sure you always know who’s caring for your pet. If your pet has a specific schedule for feeding, walks, or medication, I’m happy to follow it closely. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At my home, pets are cared for in a secure, structured, and loving environment. I have two friendly resident dogs who are well-socialized and enjoy the company of other dogs. Introductions are always done slowly and safely to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Depending on your pet’s needs, they can either relax indoors as part of the family or enjoy their own space in a clean, secure kennel with a run. I also have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can play, explore, or just enjoy some fresh air in a safe, enclosed space. I always follow your instructions closely and provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and gentle care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.
