The bar staff immediately offered a dog bowl full of water with a human pint order, and the pub’s throng of pup patrons is a sure sign of its popularity with London pet parents. Plus, the Village Green makes for a wonderful pre- or post-dinner stroll with your dog.

The Edinburgh is a true inner-city boozer that shows a wide range of sports and offers a premium beer line-up. However, even though no secure garden is available, there are plenty of spots for a dog to relax at The Edinburgh. The pub boasts a great atmosphere and a spacious bar filled with locals and dog lovers. (And dogs, naturally.)
The staff were extremely friendly and interested in our PHO’s dog to the point of running up from behind the bar and guiding him towards treats and water. And even though there’s no dog menu, they offered to make him fish fingers.

The staff are also thoroughly delighted to see dogs walk in, offering water bowls, snacks, and toys.
For humans, the food is also a treat, with the hot honey pizza standing out as a particular highlight.

Situated in a beautiful corner of West London, The Orange is a classy eatery and bar that still allows (and encourages) dogs to turn up and soak in the vibes. The staff are on hand with treats and bowls of water. Due to the bar’s busy atmosphere, it might be more suitable for smaller dogs and lapdog breeds.
Plus, The Orange is conveniently located near Hyde Park, which features an off-lead area where dogs can frolic. Perfect for an afternoon tipple before (or after) letting off steam!

The Cockpit has made great strides in animal-friendliness, transforming from a former cock-fighting arena into a pub where staff find a quiet spot for you and your dog and proactively offer treats and water. Plus, the passing centuries have allowed for the installation of decent air conditioning, which is a must on a hot summer’s day in the Capital.
Although it can fill up quickly, as with most London pubs, this is an excellent option for people looking to enjoy a historical boozer with their best friend at their side.

The staff are exceptionally friendly towards dogs, offering up treats and bowls. There’s also an excellent shaded courtyard with water bowls that you can have filled at the bar. They’re what really put this pub over in terms of dog-friendliness, going out of their way to ensure that the PHO’s dog was comfortable and happy.
Other Dog-Friendly Pubs Our Reviewers Visited in London
Here’s another option our reviewer visited while in the area:
Think your dog might prefer to stay at home?
The pubs of London can be fun for us, but your dog might not be so keen. If they’re reactive around strangers or tend to bark when overexcited, taking them with you might not be such a good idea. Excessive barking may prompt complaints from other patrons, putting bar servers in a tough spot. Some pubs, especially in busy locations, can also be host to loud behaviour and live music, which can expose your dog to a lot of noises and distractions they might not be prepared for. In this case, leaving your dog at home with a Rover sitter can give you the peace of mind that they’re well looked after while you’re out exploring.
