Over: Since I grew up in apartment building, i’ve sit all kinds of animals throughout my life. I never cared about them destroying things or getting dirty because of them. When i was in high school i also volunteered in animal shelter, where i worked primarily with dogs. Since i’m in uni i have lot of free time during the day. Over: Hello and nice to meet you 😊 both me and my husband owned dogs in the past: we both had Rhodesian ridgebacks and an English Bulldog. We love dogs and we would love to get our kids to grow up more around animals and dogs. Our girls are aged 5, 7 and 8 so we’d love to host a dog who gets along with children :) Me and my husband are working from home on some days so we can be flexible! I grew up with an incredible Siamese who was part of my life for 17 years, and I also had the privilege of watching her peacefully coexist with our Golden Retriever back in Greece. As a kid, I had a habit of bringing home every stray cat I came across because, in my mind, they all deserved a safe home. (Living in Greece, where there are many strays, that became a bit of a recurring event.) Somehow, my parents survived my rescue missions, and my love for cats only grew stronger. In my professional career, my first work in Greece was to help settle an NGO for stray cats and dogs - one of the proudest moments so far! I've also catsat for friends whenever they needed someone they could trust. My favorite kind of catsitting day is bringing my laptop, settling in, and quietly working while keeping your cat company. Some cats want cuddles, some just want a familiar human nearby—and I'm happy to let them set the rules. One thing you'll quickly notice about me: I'm obsessive about hygiene. You can thank my Balkan mom for that. A clean feeding area and a spotless litter box aren't optional in my book—they're essential. I pay close attention to cleanliness because I know it matters for your cat's comfort, health, and happiness. Patience is probably my greatest strength. My current project is my Orange Boy, who's teaching me that progress comes one tiny step at a time. I'm training him to enjoy walks, feel comfortable riding in a bike basket, and eventually join me on bigger adventures. The dream? To travel the world together. Training a cat requires consistency, understanding, and a lot of respect for their pace—qualities I bring to every cat I care for. More than anything, I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats. I love going for walks and giving pets the attention they need. Your dog will be in safe and happy hands with me! The is a dog park right next to where I live. I also have a huge fenced area at home where they will be able to run free multiple times a day! :) I speak English and Dutch. I work remotely as a freelancer and manage my own hours. This makes me very flexible, allowing me to spend plenty of quality time with the dogs both inside and outside the house. Over: Hoi, (Ter info: mijn tarief voor opvang met overnachting is altijd 25 euro. Rover.com past dit aan naar 30 als je in het hoofdseizoen boekt, maar dat lossen we samen wel op!) Mijn ervaring: Ik ben opgegroeid met kleine (asiel)hondjes thuis en in 2011 heb ik voor het eerst een maand vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in Spanje bij een hondenasiel. In de jaren daaropvolgend heb ik in verschillende buitenlandse asielen vrijwilligerswerk gedaan (zie foto's). Daar heb ik toen ook mijn eerste hondje geadopteerd toen ze 10 jaar oud was. Ik heb in 2019 een opleiding gedaan over hondengedrag en heb natuurlijk van mijn eigen hondjes ook veel geleerd. Mijn tweede hondje heb ik in 2020 geadopteerd, ook op latere leeftijd. Eind 2024 is zij overleden en sindsdien heb ik besloten om hondenoppas te worden, want ik miste het gezelschap wel! Ik heb dus veel ervaring met (oude) hondjes en heb zelfs nog een hondenbuggy hier thuis staan voor als jouw hondje wel mee wil op lange wandelingen, maar dat niet meer goed kan. Daarnaast werk ik ook als vrijwilliger elke vrijdag bij een hondendagopvang waar de honden in een groep samen zijn, waardoor ik nog meer leer over hondengedrag. Momenteel studeer ik thuis (Besluit Houders van Dieren; honden en katten) en werk ik een dag in de week als kinderoppas (10 en 12 jaar oud). Daar is de hond altijd welkom. Wat belangrijk is om te weten: Ik woon alleen en als de hond voor vakantieopvang naar mij toekomt, moet de hond wel even zonder stress alleen thuis kunnen zijn. Ik wil namelijk wel boodschappen kunnen doen of naar mijn dansles kunnen gaan zonder dat de hond dan thuis in paniek raakt. Honden zijn bij mij welkom in het hele huis, ook op de bank (samen een filmpje kijken is wel zo gezellig!). Ze mogen alleen niet op mijn bed komen, maar als je hondje blijft slapen dan staat er altijd een fijn hondenbed naast mijn bed (of zijn/haar eigen bed). Honden zijn natuurlijk groepsdieren en daar houd ik graag rekening mee. Ik ben het gewend dat ik ze overal mee naartoe neem in de auto en zo min mogelijk alleen laat. Ik vind het juist leuk als de hond overal mee naartoe kan.

I’m currently on track to finish my MA thesis and work part time in exhibition & artist operations, so I get to spare at least one hour for each visit to your cats. I always ask for emergency vet information and pet passports as well as any special needs or circumstances to look out for that are special to your cat. In case of indoor cats I open doors attentively and don’t leave large open windows. I pay attention to your cat’s eating, drinking and litter box habits.

Over: I've lived with dogs most of my life, starting with a German Short-haired Pointer I grew up with, a mini Schnauzer as a teen & student, and most recently another Schnauzer who left us late in 2025. I've walked, played, trained and loved them all, and with our last one, nursed her through diabetes (including daily insulin injections), loss of sight and hearing. I'm currently a full time parent and job seeker, with a lot of flexibility within school hours and sometimes on weekends. Our children are also mature and used to dogs and their habits. At home, we have 2 fenced spaces: a moderately spacious deck area than can be open to the kitchen and a yard space in front that is enclosed from the street by a high greened fence. Our living area is open and light, and we have a medium-sized travel crate for any that might be used to using something like that. In the neighbourhood, we are a short walk from Nieuwe Scheveningse Bosjes (off-leash allowed) and the beach, and not too far from the section of the beach north of Zwarte Pad where dogs are allowed in summer.

Old dogs need a short walk, other dogs need to run and play longer and more time per day. I will help your dog to maintain his lifestyle the closest as possible to the one she is used with you. My house is a house with a garden with a fence and spacious green areas close by. There is a lot of space to walk in the surrounding area. I live with my husband, my 14 years old daughter and one English bulldog (7 year-old). Over: Pets have always been a big part of my life. Growing up in the Philippines, I was surrounded by various pets: dogs, cats, and rabbits, and my love for them has only grown over the years. Since moving to the Netherlands in 2010, I have been caring for cats and dogs through house-sitting, dog walking, and cat-sitting. What makes my care special is that I truly treat every pet as if they were my own. When your furry friend stays with us, they become part of our family. My husband and I love spending time with pets, whether it’s taking them for lovely walks through the forest, along the nearby dykes, or to the beach for some fun and fresh air. At home, there is plenty of affection — cuddles on the sofa while we watch television are definitely part of the package! Since my husband and I work from home, your pet will have company and attention most of the day. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m happy to adapt to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Depending on their needs and coat, I can also bathe and gently comb them. For me, pet sitting is more than simply looking after them —it’s about giving them companionship, affection, exercise, and a home-away-from-home experience. Over: Ik heb mijn hele leven honden gehad (klein en groot), dus ik heb passie en ervaring met het verzorging van honden. Als het gaat om wandelen, voeding, speeltijd of gewoon gezelschap, ik zorg ervoor dat jouw hond zich veilig en gelukkig voelt. Voor mij is het belangrijk om jouw hond dezelfde aandacht en zorg te geven die ik mijn eigen hond geef, zodat je met een gerust hart weg kunt gaan😊 Ik werk doordeweeks overdag en ben in het weekend vrij. Na mijn werk ben ik thuis met mijn eigen hond en in het weekend ben ik volledig beschikbaar. Ik woon op de eerste verdieping met een afgesloten balkon. Het complex is huisdier-vriendelijk en de meeste van mijn buren hebben ook honden. Er zijn verschillende parken in de buurt, een hondvriendelijk strand en een losloopgebied met hekjes. Er zijn dus veel mogelijkheden voor honden om te wandelen, spelen, en als gewenst, met andere honden te socializen. Je liefdiertje zou in goede handen zijn!
Over: All dogs are welcome! I spent my entire childhood surrounded by animals, mostly horses, but I have tons of love and compassion for dogs as well. I enjoy outdoors and am happy to take your dog out for a longer walk. I work part-time and study. I am flexible to take your dog for a walk in the evenings and weekends. Even besides these times, feel free to hit me up and check availability. I live in an apartment. Besides me, at home is also my fiance. We both really love animals and they are always welcome at our house. It’s a spacious and quiet place.
