Over: Since I grew up in apartment building, i’ve sit all kinds of animals throughout my life. I never cared about them destroying things or getting dirty because of them. When i was in high school i also volunteered in animal shelter, where i worked primarily with dogs. Since i’m in uni i have lot of free time during the day. Over: I've been happily owned by cats for over 20 years, so caring for them comes naturally. I grew up with an incredible Siamese who was part of my life for 17 years, and I also had the privilege of watching her peacefully coexist with our Golden Retriever back in Greece. That experience taught me early on that every animal has its own personality. Speaking of Greece… my parents probably deserve an award for putting up with me. As a kid, I had a habit of bringing home every stray cat I came across because, in my mind, they all deserved a safe home. (Living in Greece, where there are many strays, that became a bit of a recurring event.) Somehow, my parents survived my rescue missions, and my love for cats only grew stronger. In my professional career, my first work in Greece was to help settle an NGO for stray cats and dogs - one of the proudest moments so far! I've also catsat for friends whenever they needed someone they could trust. My favorite kind of catsitting day is bringing my laptop, settling in, and quietly working while keeping your cat company. Some cats want cuddles, some just want a familiar human nearby—and I'm happy to let them set the rules. One thing you'll quickly notice about me: I'm obsessive about hygiene. You can thank my Balkan mom for that. A clean feeding area and a spotless litter box aren't optional in my book—they're essential. I pay close attention to cleanliness because I know it matters for your cat's comfort, health, and happiness. Patience is probably my greatest strength. My current project is my Orange Boy, who's teaching me that progress comes one tiny step at a time. I'm training him to enjoy walks, feel comfortable riding in a bike basket, and eventually join me on bigger adventures. The dream? To travel the world together. Training a cat requires consistency, understanding, and a lot of respect for their pace—qualities I bring to every cat I care for. More than anything, I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats. I believe we can learn a lot from them—their curiosity, confidence, independence, and ability to appreciate a good nap. Over: Hoi, (Ter info: mijn tarief voor opvang met overnachting is altijd 25 euro. Rover.com past dit aan naar 30 als je in het hoofdseizoen boekt, maar dat lossen we samen wel op!) Mijn ervaring: Ik ben opgegroeid met kleine (asiel)hondjes thuis en in 2011 heb ik voor het eerst een maand vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in Spanje bij een hondenasiel. In de jaren daaropvolgend heb ik in verschillende buitenlandse asielen vrijwilligerswerk gedaan (zie foto's). Daar heb ik toen ook mijn eerste hondje geadopteerd toen ze 10 jaar oud was. Ik heb in 2019 een opleiding gedaan over hondengedrag en heb natuurlijk van mijn eigen hondjes ook veel geleerd. Mijn tweede hondje heb ik in 2020 geadopteerd, ook op latere leeftijd. Eind 2024 is zij overleden en sindsdien heb ik besloten om hondenoppas te worden, want ik miste het gezelschap wel! Ik heb dus veel ervaring met (oude) hondjes en heb zelfs nog een hondenbuggy hier thuis staan voor als jouw hondje wel mee wil op lange wandelingen, maar dat niet meer goed kan. Daarnaast werk ik ook als vrijwilliger elke vrijdag bij een hondendagopvang waar de honden in een groep samen zijn, waardoor ik nog meer leer over hondengedrag. Momenteel studeer ik thuis (Besluit Houders van Dieren; honden en katten) en werk ik een dag in de week als kinderoppas (10 en 12 jaar oud). Daar is de hond altijd welkom. Wat belangrijk is om te weten: Ik woon alleen en als de hond voor vakantieopvang naar mij toekomt, moet de hond wel even zonder stress alleen thuis kunnen zijn. Ik wil namelijk wel boodschappen kunnen doen of naar mijn dansles kunnen gaan zonder dat de hond dan thuis in paniek raakt. Honden zijn bij mij welkom in het hele huis, ook op de bank (samen een filmpje kijken is wel zo gezellig!). Ze mogen alleen niet op mijn bed komen, maar als je hondje blijft slapen dan staat er altijd een fijn hondenbed naast mijn bed (of zijn/haar eigen bed). Honden zijn natuurlijk groepsdieren en daar houd ik graag rekening mee. Ik ben het gewend dat ik ze overal mee naartoe neem in de auto en zo min mogelijk alleen laat. Ik vind het juist leuk als de hond overal mee naartoe kan.

Over: Sinds mijn 11e zorg ik al voor honden en dit is alleen maar meer geworden sinds mijn ouders een labradoodle hebben. Deze is inmiddels 8 jaar en blijft geregeld slapen. Daarnaast pas ik ook op honden van vrienden. Dit zie ik echt als een passie omdat ik zelf niet in de gelegenheid ben om een hond fulltime te verzorgen vanwege mijn kantoorwerk. Momenteel heb ik veel tijd omdat mijn nieuwe functie 1 oktober dit jaar start. Ik ben dan ook zeer flexibel in mijn planning en sta ook open voor last minute verzoeken.
