Over: Hi! I’m Joana, and I work as mechanical engineer living in Eindhoven. While my professional background is in engineering, animals have always been my true passion. Since childhood I always loved animals, and grew up with both dogs and cats. However, my first pet was a free-roaming rabbit named Maria who slept in my room and acted more like a dog than a bunny. I grew up in Portugal, where I became deeply involved in animal rescue in my hometown, where unfortunately there are a lot of stray animals. I fostered my first cat at 15 (it took a lot of convincing my parents!), and since then, I’ve cared for over 30 foster cats, many of them neonates or sick rescues, including pregnant cats that I've assisted during birth. Because of all of this, I am well versed in dealing with most cat illnesses, and I have a special needs cat myself :) I also worked closely with the local shelter in Portugal, supporting TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, walking shelter dogs, and socializing shy or traumatized animals. Unfortnately, after moving to the Netherlands, I couldn't foster anymore, since I live in an apartment that doesn't allow that, but I do have 3 furr babies that I love more than words can express. However, I still volunteer at the shelter (ROZE) every Sunday where I clean the cat spaces, check health, and help socialize “spicy” cats and kittens. I know from experience how hard it can be to leave your pet at home while you're on holidays and how difficult it can be to find a trustworthy sitter for your pet. I truly think of pets as family members and treat them as such, so you can expect a lot of dedication from my side, and the comfort of knowing that your pet is in safe hands. I provide home visits, dog walks, and overnight stays depending on your needs. I'm especially comfortable with shy, senior, or special-needs animals, and I always treat pets with love, patience, and respect. I speak fluent English and Portuguese, so you can expect as many updates as you want while you are away. Let me know how I can help care for your furry family member! I work from home most days so taking care of pets is quite easy for me. It doesn't feel like a job, more of a break from my daily work as an engineer :) I have my own three cats, one with special needs, so I am very used to balancing my work life with my animal's life, who I truly consider my family 💕 Having my own fur babies, and rescuing cats and dogs for as long as I can remember, I know how difficult it is to trust your pet to a stranger. I will care for your pet as if it was my own and provide you with as many updates as necessary to make you feel comfortable leaving your precious baby with me 🤍 I truly care and love animals and I like to think pets can sense that when they meet me, I hope you can see that as well :) I also always do a meetup before booking so you and I can decide if it is the right fit for everyone involved 🥰

“Dovilė took amazing care of our furbaby Sozo! From the beginning, she talked about how she was going to make him feel at home, how she would safely introduce her dog to him, and how she would treat him like part of the family. Her and her husband did all those things! He was very spoiled going on many walks every day and getting to explore a lot! She even brushed him and took layers of fur off in doing so making him feel so much lighter and not as hot! She also ended his stay by giving him a bath. Everyday I got sent pictures, videos, and great detailed updates about how he was doing, how he was adjusting, and how much they were enjoying his company as well. You can really tell that she loves animals and treats your dog like one of her own. You could tell my dog really enjoyed his time there and I will definitely book with Dovilė again! Couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

Over: I’ve taken care of various pets since I was 10 years old. From puppies to senior dogs, neighbours grumpy cats, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even african land snails! I’m able to provide round the clock care monday through sunday from my own home so i’ll have all the time needed to take care of your pets! I have a small fenced yard that your pets will have access to, I also have a gated porch that they can relax on and people watch if they enjoy! Is your pet clingy and needs attention 24/7? No problem! Does your pet like to hide away? Also no problem, we’re a quiet household and have a spare room where a crate can be set up if necessary.

Over: Since the day I was born I was surrounded by all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses…) All of my family members are big animal lovers, therefore I grew up also like one :) In lithuania I had two amazing dogs, but after I came to the Netherlands for my studies, I really started missing the interaction with those increadibly friendly and amazing beings. That is why I am looking to “babysit” dogs here - simply to experience the same joy I was experiencing back home, while also helping out other people that don’t have as much time to give to their beloved little friends :) I’m currently working in a hybrid way, which means that I am home on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and sometimes Mondays, so I would have a lot of time to bond and spend time with the little friend :) I live in an apartment with a balkony. The balcony is never being left open and during colder seasons, it doesn’t even get opened at all, so would be no fear of pets escaping or injuring themselves. Here in the Netherlands I don’t have any pets. The apartment has 3 rooms, so the pet would have space to have fun and explore :)

I’ve got plenty of experience with dogs, cats, and even rabbits! My parents have a dog and a cat who think they run the household (they do), and my best friend in Eindhoven has a cat and a rabbit that I often look after when she's away. I'm basically the unofficial auntie to all of them. 🐾

Over: Ik heb in het verleden 3 boomers gehad, plus een nest van 6 pups. Ik ben gastouder geweest voor een hondenorganisatie uit Spanje in nl Ik ben momenteel werkzoekende, als parttimer, ik doe hier en daar klusjes bij mensen rondom mijn omgeving. Ben nooit langer van huis als max 3 uurtjes. En ik pas mij altijd aan de hondjes aan. Alle honden leven bij mij als royalty's, ik hou van alle dieren, vertroetel ze graag beloon ze regelmatig. Ze mogen bij mij overal op zolang ze maar niks slopen. Ik zal jullie hond beschermen alsof het mijn eigen is. Er is hier een groot weiland waar honden kunnen ravotten, balletje/ stokje gooien.

Over: Welkom op mijn profiel 🤗. Mijn naam is Nikie, samen met Timothy ben ik trotse ouder van onze 2 kinderen, Aimée en Joàh ❤️. Ik ben altijd met dieren opgegroeid. Van vissen, knaagdieren en hondjes en nu al 8 jaar mijn eigen 2 katten waar ik gek op ben. Vanaf dat ik klein was heb ik geleerd om verantwoordelijk te zijn voor dieren en hoe je met ze om gaat. Alle dieren krijgen bij mij de liefde en aandacht die ze verdienen. 💕 Ik wil graag van mijn passie een hobby maken. Vandaar dat je me hier op Rover weet te vinden! Momenteel werk ik 2 uur per dag vanuit huis omdat ik helaas herstellende ben van een hernia. Hierdoor heb ik naast mijn 2 kinderen, alle tijd en ruimte voor nog een of twee dieren erbij! Met plezier verzorg ik de dieren naar de wens van het baasje met uiteraard extra aandacht en knuffels. Ook heb ik mogelijkheden genoeg om meerdere keren per dag met het dier te wandelen. Ik heb 2 katten die prima met andere dieren overweg kunnen. Mocht dit een probleem zijn voor het baasje, dan gaan mijn katten naar boven. Dit zijn ze gewend omdat de hond van mijn moeder ook elke week komt en niet goed met ze overweg kan. 🐶
