I am retired, so now able to offer dog and cat minding in their own homes. I can schedule my social activities around providing live-in care, with a maximum of 5 hours away on any day, but most probably 4 hours.

I will follow your dog’s usual routine within the home and when outside for walks. I can administer medication if needed, as I have previously had both a diabetic dog, and one with CECS seizures and ultimately deafness, sight loss, dementia and incontinence. I am a trustworthy and respectful person, who will take great care of your home whilst minding your dog.

If your dog or cat has any special requirements, including medication, I will ensure that this is administered when needed. If they have any quirks (eg will only pee on grass) I will make sure they are accommodated.
A typical day
I am happy to keep your dog(s) in their usual routine, so will visit to get to know them before you go away. If they want to play, I’ll play, if they need quiet, I’ll let them sleep. Cuddles are on offer any time.

Pet care experience
I have owned dogs all my life, nursing my old dog through seizures and incontinence until she left me three years ago. Since then, I have looked after friends and family dogs in my own home, but I am now available to look after people’s dogs in their own homes. I have been involved in regularly walking abandoned dogs at a shelter in Spain, and raised significant funds for them.

Yvette is one of those rare people who has a genuine, instinctive love for animals, especially dogs. She greets every dog she meets with warmth, and our little Dachshund, Daisy, took to her immediately. Yvette recently cared for Daisy overnight, and the experience couldn’t have been better. Daisy felt completely safe and relaxed — so much so that she happily curled up on the bed with Yvette and didn’t want to come home the next morning. Her kindness, patience, and natural way with animals make her someone you can trust without hesitation. Yvette provides the kind of care that gives real peace of mind, and her communication and reliability are excellent. Anyone booking with her will be leaving their dog in truly loving hands.
Yvette took care of my Yorkshire Terrier, she is excellent with Max who has special medical needs and getting quite old now. Yvette is a very passionate animal lover and you can tell she has lots of experience handling dogs. I would highly recommend Yvette for all animal bookings and max is looking paw-word to the next time she has him.
