Hi there! I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. I usually have free time on weekends, and with the Christmas season approaching, I’ll be staying in Jena to work on my thesis throughout the holiday. If you’re planning to travel over Christmas, I would be more than happy to take care of your furry friend while you’re away. Your pet will be in good hands! Hallo! Ich studiere derzeit Master an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. In der Regel habe ich nur am Wochenende Zeit, und da die Weihnachtszeit bald beginnt, werde ich über die Feiertage in Jena bleiben, um an meiner Masterarbeit zu arbeiten. Wenn du also planst, über Weihnachten zu verreisen, kümmere ich mich gerne um deinen Vierbeiner, während du weg bist. Dein Haustier ist bei mir in guten Händen!

I am more than happy to stay overnight at your home to care for your furry friend while you’re away, until you return. To ensure everything goes smoothly, it’s best if we can communicate a few times online or in person beforehand. Ideally, I can visit your home in advance to get familiar with the environment, which will help us better understand each other and your pet’s needs. To give you peace of mind, I will send you videos of your pet three times a day—morning, afternoon, and evening—along with updates on their health. If you’d like, we can schedule regular video calls at times convenient for you. I also suggest creating a checklist of important instructions together, so nothing is overlooked during my care. If you have any other concerns, we can address them together to ensure your pet feels safe and loved in your absence.

To provide the best care, i’d like to know a bit about your pet: Are they a small or large dog/cat? How many times a day do they need to be fed? Do they have a designated toilet area? Are there any special needs or concerns we should be aware of? Please let us know in advance. I don’t have a preference for any particular breed and are happy to care for all pets!
A typical day
We can go on daily outdoor walks for 2–3 hours (for example, an hour in the morning and another in the evening). We also love playing a variety of games—everything depends on what your furry friend enjoys and any special requests you may have. Communication is key, and we’re happy to work together to make every day fun for both you and your pet!

Pet care experience
Although I don’t have a pet of my own—my family is allergic to dog and cat fur—I’ve had the joy of meeting many furry friends at animal rescue organizations. I volunteered there for two years in my spare time, taking care of daily tasks like cleaning, feeding, grooming, and simply spending time playing with them . I also designed personalized posters for the animals and assisted with in-person adoption events. I believe every furry friend, whether a dog or a cat, has a special kind of magic. When they nuzzle your hand or let you rest your head against them, it feels like someone is gently brushing your brain with feathers. I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I am patient and respectful of each animal’s personality. Sometimes, just having them around makes the world feel completely different.
