I currently work a part-time remote job that I get to pick and choose my hours and when they are worked. Occasionally, I need to be in the office for 3-4 hours at a time. I am also allowed to bring pets to work so if you are comfortable with that, we can talk about that if is helpful for your needs. Overall, I can make myself pretty available whenever and a lot of my workdays can be done from anywhere.

I currently have no pets (just lost my favorite girl recently) and it is what motivated me to start professionally sitting although I have done it for friends and family as a side gig for years. My pets were always my priority. They are part of the family. When I watch other's pets I make sure I take notes when they give me instructions and I refer back to any instructions they provided to make sure I have it all figured out. I want people to feel safe and relaxed when they are either away at work or away on vacation and not have to worry about being bothered by the sitter constantly (unless they want photo updates, of course!). I have stayed over at people's houses and definitely just stick to whatever boundaries they have laid out. I have also had other's pets in my home. I have a backyard that is fully fenced. I am very attentive and get joy out of having them around, even the grumpy ones! My partner and I have been together for 13 years. He is an animal lover as well and works a lot so if boarding in my home his interactions would be limited but we could arrange for meeting him as well in case there were any concerns. When I go to others houses, I go solo, always.

Information Theresa B. would like to know about your pet

Any mobility issues, medication, quirks. Commands and feeding schedules are all important. Reactivity is always important to know ahead of time, and spots they don't like being touched if there are any. Whether or not they are ok being picked up.

A typical day

I love going for walks and playing games. I also like sitting outside with the birds in the backyard so I can adjust to the dog's speed. Toy puzzles, fetch. Whatever the pet likes to do. I love playing games with cats as well. Laser pointers and hair ties seem to be a hit with them. I like to try and stick to the pet's normal routine as much as possible so they are comfortable.

Pet care experience

Most of my experience is with dogs but I have cared for several of my friends cats while they were away, along with multi-pet households. I recently lost my sweet girl Bella, the pit bull, and watching friends' and families' pets has brought me a lot of joy. I am innately drawn to animals which led me to a degree in animal behavior. I have administered medications for my own elderly dogs and understand the patience needed for both seniors and puppies (and kittens!). I am active so exercising high-energy dogs is no problem either. I would be comfortable with other kinds of pets to (lizards, birds). I follow instructions to a T and am very reliable. You let me know what you need, and I'll take care of it. I also respect the needs of individual animals- they all have different personalities and should be treated as so. I hope I get to meet you and your companions!

I felt so comfortable leaving my Hoppy with Theresa . She was so good with sending photos and updates , and had really good energy . She was great with my routine for hoppy and really made him feel at home. When I picked him up , he kept going back to sniff her so I know that he enjoyed his stay. Thank you so much Theresa 🥰🥰

Theresa has been watching my dogs (one small terrier and one Doberman) for years and I always feel peace of mind when I’m out of town knowing they’re safe with her and getting lots of love and attention. My Doberman is reactive and requires extra caution and attentiveness, which Theresa is very knowledgeable about. Trustworthy and reliable and always updates with pictures and videos which I appreciate. Truly an animal person through and through, highly recommend.
