Taylor can care for
Availability
I am a full time teacher. I only set my availability to when I’m on break so I can give more of my focus to your pet. I prefer more frequent check ins. This allows me to ensure that your pet is well taken care of.

Safety, trust & environment
Please let me know if your pup is crate trained, or is willing/able to be separated from other animals if I need to leave. When working with multiple pets, I prefer to reduce any chances of unsupervised exploration or play. This is to ensure their safety. I also make sure all trash is covered or out of reach. I also lock the doors when I leave. I do ask that you let me know if your pet has anxiety (separation, leash, etc.) or any history of reactivity.
Information Taylor D. would like to know about your pet
Before I sit him or her, I would like to know if he or she needs any medications (which I don't have a problem distributing) or has any medical issues. It is also important for me to know if he or she is aggressive in any form (in a cage, with food or toys, with other dogs, etc.) for when I walk or stay them (your pet is my priority but I also have my own safety to worry about). I have worked with aggressive animals, so this is not new to me; I will make any appropriate accommodations needed to make your pet more comfortable. If there are any other unique qualities that makes your pet extra special, please let me know. Needs belly rubs any morning? I can do that. Wants a peanut butter-stuffed Kong before I leave? I can make it at the start of my stay and put it in the freezer so it’s nice and cool by the time I leave. Doesn’t like his rear end touched (or especially loves his tail scratched)? I can make do. As for breed preferences, I absolutely love labs (I have one of my own), pugs, Yorkies/Morkies, Cocker Spaniels, and Bichons. I have had all of these breeds except a pug. I also love the dogs that most people shy away from, such as pit bulls, rottweilers, dobermans, poodles, chihuahuas, and German shepherds.
A typical day
I can take your dog(s) around the neighborhood, to a dog park, or to her favorite local spot. If (s)he wants to play catch, fetch, or tug o war, I won't back down from the challenge. If they just want to snuggle the whole time, I can do that too. I encourage physical activity during my stay, but I can roll with the punches.

Tailored Pet Care
Pet care experience
**Ask about how you can get $20 off your first booking through Rover with my coupon code. With over 10 years of experience, I have been caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, of various species. I also have experience house sitting as well. I have had some form of a pet in my home for about 20 years now — cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, Guinea pigs, fish... You name it. I have also worked in dog kennels, some that cared for cats; I have handled all types of dogs professionally (I can provide this as a reference). There’s not too much that I am squeamish or jumpy with. I love all breeds of all dogs (and cats) equally, especially the ones that have developed a “bad rep”, whether it’s a pit, German shepherd, or Doberman. I have 2 dogs of my own, a 3 year old playful lab mix, Cooper; and a 9 year old morkie, Chompers. They both love other animals as well! If you would like to socialize your pet, I can bring him on our walks. If not, that is fine too! Your furry friend would be just as loved by me as I love my boys. I am a special education teacher. I am typically available nights, weekends, and on breaks. When I’m off work, I have my full focus on your pup. I have one dog who can keep your pup company. I live at the back of a quiet neighborhood. I crate our pups if I have to leave (which I keep to the minimum). Your pup is allowed on my furniture.
Reviews

Taylor was great with our dog and very friendly!

Another amazing vacation for our pup with Taylor. Zoey didn't even realize we were the ones on vacation! We will always use Taylor when we can't take our Zoey with us.
Taylor is really wonderful. She becomes like family and takes such good care of your dogs that they are happy and having a good time while you are away. Taylor is respectful of your dogs’ routines and your house rules. Really we could not imagine a better caretaker for our beloved pups.
Taylor has watched my 2 four legged babies on multiple occasions and they always love to see her. She follows their schedule, makes sure they get plenty of walks in, and of course lots of cuddles! She is my go to for anything involving my fur babies!
