Retired teacher who loves animals
After a 25-year career in education, I am ready to fill my time taking care of fur babies. When asked if I'm a cat or dog person, I happily answer--BOTH! I have had the pleasure of loving many cats and dogs--and neighbors' cats and dogs--over the course of a lifetime. My husband and I currently have a 16-year old, 20 lb. rescue mutt. Because she is deaf, partly blind, and moves slowly on her bad days, I am particularly sensitive to elderly dogs. But we also occasionally provide doggie day care for our adult daughter's 9-month old black lab, so I am sharpening my skills with high-energy pups as well!

My dog gets treated better than my children did. She sleeps in the bed between me and my husband. I always introduce her as the favorite child! I would treat a prospective client's pet the same way.

Such a wonderful experience! This was my first time leaving Casper with a sitter, so I was naturally a little nervous, but she made me feel completely comfortable from the beginning. She was incredibly sweet, patient, and caring with him and kept sending me pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Casper was comfortable and well taken care of. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave him and would absolutely trust her with Casper again. Highly recommend!
This was my first trip out of the country and needing someone to visit Gus while I was gone. Tara was fantastic!! Super communicative and helped a lot, especially with my litter robot acting up while I was gone.

Schedule
Retired, so my schedule is flexible. While I am mostly interested in routine walkings and check-ins, I am open to overnights depending on if my husband can take care of our dog in my absence. I would appreciate 24 hours notice about an upcoming service but could possibly be available sooner.
