I hold a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Wildlife Conservation and have worked on behavior teams at top-scale training facilities, specializing in: - Aggressive and reactive dogs - Fearful, shy, and trauma-affected pets - Confidence building and behavior modification - Basic and advanced obedience training My background in veterinary medicine and canine nutrition allows me to provide attentive care for pets with medical or dietary needs, including administering medications safely and accurately. Beyond dogs and cats (I share my home with two dogs and three cats), I also specialize in exotic animal care. As a professional herpetologist, I have decades of experience caring for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates, and understand the unique environmental and behavioral needs of these species. I’m calm, confident, and dedicated to creating safe, positive experiences for every animal—whether it’s a nervous rescue, a senior pet, or a curious critter.

As a professional dog trainer that has an extensive background in behavior, with over 10 years of experience, I’m skilled in handling reactive, fearful, and trauma-affected dogs using calm, positive, and science-based methods. My background in veterinary support and animal health ensures I can confidently manage medication administration, monitor subtle signs of stress or illness, and respond appropriately in emergencies. I also specialize in exotic animal care—as a herpetologist with 20+ years of experience and a degree in Biology with a Wildlife Conservation minor, I’m well-versed in reptile, amphibian, and small exotic husbandry, handling, and enrichment. I respect every client’s home and provide updates, photos, and honest communication so you can rest easy knowing your pets—furred, scaled, or feathered—are safe, understood, and cared for as if they were my own.

Tanna has a wealth of knowledge and experience that’s truly hard to find when it comes to living with and caring for a variety of animals. She has taken exceptional care of my special-needs dog, and I never have to worry when he’s in her hands—her training in veterinary practices gives me complete peace of mind. Even my typically shy cat comes out to greet her and will happily play, which is a big deal in our household! We miss having Tanna in our area and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any pet guardian. I know she’ll book up quickly, so be sure to get on her schedule before you miss out.
Tanna has been amazing with our three dogs Max, Kai, and Kerra. Each of my dogs have different personalities and energy levels. She’s patient, responsible, and clearly loves animals. I always feel at ease knowing they’re in her care. She follows instructions perfectly and gives them lots of affection and attention. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable sitter!

Schedule
I currently co-own a reptile shop; this allows me to make my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility to have a wide range of availability. Just reach out and we can make something work. I don't mind early mornings or late nights.
