My husband and I both love dogs, we have a super smart Poodle/Yorkie mix, aptly named Smartie. He's up there in years, but is still a happy boy. We've been DogVacay/Rover hosts for since 2014. If you're looking for the right sitter for your precious dog, please read our profile, and come by for a meet and greet. Smartie has a great sense of play, and is really easygoing. Toys and comfy spaces abound in our home, and we have a lovely, fully-fenced backyard (pesticide/herbicide free) that's perfect for romping. We also love to go for walks around the neighborhood, a nearby park, and we sometimes go to the dog park at Mason District when we don't have a dog park in our own backyard. We provide a loving, safe, fun vacation home for your small to medium-sized pet(s). We generally accept only two overnight guests at a time, and only one new guest at a time. We'll provide updates with pictures. Still worried? Don't be, but you're welcome to call. Please be aware we cannot accept dogs over 30 pounds, and dogs over one year old must be fully housebroken.

Susan took great care of our dog while we were gone. He is old and blind so she made sure to get out baby gates for him. She also made sure to keep me posted of what was going on with him and genuinely seems to love dogs! Would definitely recommend Susan for short or long-term care!
Susan and her husband were great to my little dog and treated me with warmth and openness. I loved the daily pictures they took of Autumn and videos of her playing with other dogs. When I had a concern Susan was very understanding and I truly appreciated that. I would love to rebook her in the future and would recommend her to anyone.

We have a lot of fun toys around, a kiddie pool, and bacon bubbles. We will find something that your dog likes to do. We are also across the street from a big shaded park.
