Unfortunately, our experience with Stephanie was not the best. I struggled heavily with whether or not to leave this review, but I thought it would be helpful to others. Stephanie was kind, but she did the bare minimum when it came to caring for our dogs for 10 days. Upfront, she did share that she worked part time for a few days (fine, we agreed to those dates and times she’d be away), but she did not do what she said she was capable of doing. Maybe she’d be great for a short weekend, but I would not hire her for a long term contract. We have cameras, and don’t usually use them to check on the sitter, but rather really just to check on our dogs when we’re away. She slept a lot, which is not a crime. The crime was that she was neglectful in her duty in following our instructions which were to please keep the living room dog gate closed to keep our dogs from roaming and getting into things (especially when not watching them). At one point, I randomly decided to check on my dogs only to discover that one of my dogs had disappeared from the living space for a couple of hours. Stephanie’s phone was off, speaking to her through our cameras and Alexa didn’t work, and the sirens we set off in our house for short bursts didn’t work either. I was genuinely scared that my dog had gotten into something since she aso wasn’t responsive to the calls from the cameras. She has a history of destroying things and swallowing things she shouldn’t. Even knowing this, Stephanie not being contactable was unacceptable for this time. After the alarm was left sounding for 10 minutes, she woke up, and upon our request went to go find our dog. She was ultimately sleep in the back guest room on the sitter’s damp bath towel! I’m not sure if that’s the full story, because Stephanie also lied to us. We left instructions to please crate our dogs at night for their safety, but to obviously take them out to use the bathroom prior to bedtime. My dog, who hadn’t had an accident in over a year since before she was 1, peed in her crate!!! She had to lay in it all night and when Stephanie woke up to it, to pull the tray out, all the pee dropped onto the tile and rug. When she told us about the accident, she told us that she took them out the night before at 9:30 PM. That was a lie, we watched it back on the cameras. Instead, she was sleep again for several hours and then woke up and just put them into the crate before going to bed. In addition to the above and continuously leaving the gate open (even after asking her not to), she notoriously left our back door wide open while taking the dogs out to potty and while cleaning up the pee she spilled onto the tile. We had several flies in our home when we returned. She also never picked up the poop after asking her to either. Besides the safety issue of not being able to contact her and being deeply medicated and asleep, she also left my dog (that I said was destructive) with a ball that’s plushy and destructible in her crate while away for 5 hours. What if my dog swallowed the cotton inside? She claimed to walk our dogs and to vacuum daily, but I can’t fully confirm that she did it as often as she said she did. I did see her vacuum once and walk them once. I wanted to trust her and didn’t begin to distrust her until she lied. While she did feed my dogs (albeit earlier than scheduled often times), and took them out, I wouldn’t request her services again. Especially for nothing longer than a weekend.

She took good care of my baby and my house and, she always kept me updated.

Stephanie has been my go to sitter for a long time now. She very polite accommodative and honest. I highly recommend her. Thanks Stephanie!

Stephanie is just amazing! My dog has severe separation anxiety, and she has taken care of him just beautifully-as if I had been there myself. She is hyper-responsible, super respectful of my space, and punctual to the minute! I can’t recommend her highly enough. I’m so glad I tried Rover-bc now I have found my “go to” dog sitter!

She is very professional and kind. She made sure that she follow all the instructions properly and that the dogs feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend her!
