Experience: -Former rescue dog owner for 8 years. -I volunteer regularly at dog rescue shelters. -I've worked off-and-on as an occasional dogsitter for 9 years. -I grew up with cats and dogs. -I'm comfortable with basic dog training such as potty training, sit, stay, come, heel, and general reactivity/socialization. Flexible pricing and care: -Overnight dogsitting rate is based on hours of dog walks per day necessary to keep the dog calm indoors. I assumed an average of 2 hours of walking per day (broken up into 2-3 big walks and plenty of potty breaks). Basically, the rate is $20 per hour of dog walks. So, a lazy dog could be cheaper, and an energetic dog could be more expensive. -Cats are a purely overnight rate. -I currently cannot keep pets in my shared home, but I'd be happy to petsit at your home or alternate. Of course, dog walks are a simple drop-by. -If you live >3 miles away from Amherst, NH, then I charge $1 per mile commute. -I can handle all basic oral medicine needs. I'm not able to provide injections or CPR. -Happy to keep your pet clean/bathed, brushed, or teeth-brushed, per your wishes. -I will only pet sit overnight on non-work-days for me, so that I can provide quality attention. I will update my calendar to show those non-work-days. -Happy to provide walks or drop-in visits outside of work hours. Love: -I will love your pet with all necessary care as if it is my own. -Happy to communicate with you as often as you wish to see your pet virtually while away.

Philosophy: -Happy to be flexible with care options for your needs and the pet's needs. -Pets are an important part of the family, and I will treat them with that respect. -A dog is happy when they are tired when indoors. My objective is to walk/play with your dog outside and for napping indoors. -I'm a navy veteran with a former Top Secret security clearance. My record is spotless, and I'm a respectable, honest person that would never steal or harm another.

Schedule
My schedule/logistics: -I go into the office every weekday, so I will only offer petsitting on non-work days. -When I dogsit, I give long walks in the morning, at lunch, and at dinner. I give potty breaks as necessary when the dog tells me (~2-4 hours during daytime).
