Experience: -Former rescue dog owner for 8 years. -I volunteer regularly at dog rescue shelters. -I've worked off-and-on as an occasional dogsitter for 9 years. -I grew up with cats and dogs. -I'm comfortable with basic dog training such as potty training, sit, stay, come, heel, and general reactivity/socialization. Flexible pricing and care: -Overnight dogsitting rate is based on hours of dog walks per day necessary to keep the dog calm indoors. I assumed an average of 2 hours of walking per day (broken up into 2-3 big walks and plenty of potty breaks). Basically, the rate is $20 per hour of dog walks. So, a lazy dog could be cheaper, and an energetic dog could be more expensive. -Cats are a purely overnight rate. -I currently cannot keep pets in my shared home, but I'd be happy to petsit at your home or alternate. Of course, dog walks are a simple drop-by. -If you live >3 miles away from Amherst, NH, then I charge $1 per mile commute. -I can handle all basic oral medicine needs. I'm not able to provide injections or CPR. -Happy to keep your pet clean/bathed, brushed, or teeth-brushed, per your wishes. -I will only pet sit overnight on non-work-days for me, so that I can provide quality attention. I will update my calendar to show those non-work-days. -Happy to provide walks or drop-in visits outside of work hours.
