Hi, I’m Sophie Water, a senior Honors student at the University of Michigan! I offer dependable, caring, and flexible pet-sitting services for your furry friend—whether you’re going away for the day, a weekend, or an extended trip. I can provide drop-in visits or overnight sitting, tailored to your pet’s needs! I also pride myself on sending excessive amounts of pet pictures to you (unless requested that I don’t). As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it is to be away from them, no matter how long it is. I’ve grown up with at least four pets and have over 7 years of experience with pet-sitting. I’m passionate about animals and will treat your pets as if they were my own, ensuring they’re safe, happy, and well-cared for in your absence. SERVICES I OFFER: Drop-in Visits: For feeding, walking, playtime, and administering any medication if needed. Overnight Sitting: I stay at your home to ensure your pet is never left alone overnight. Unfortunately, my current lease agreement doesn’t allow me to have pets in my own home. That being said, I find that this is often a comfort to most pets. It can be a tough adjustment when both your owner and home are suddenly gone! I do my best to make sure I follow your pet’s routine to the best of my ability. I also take into consideration pet personalities, likes and dislikes, and try my hardest to intuitively and empathetically care for them. As someone who grew up with pets of all temperaments (from escape artists to insanely energetic to couch potatoes), I am able to build relationships with each pet individually and anticipate their wants and needs. Pets are just as smart (if not smarter ;) than people, and I make it a given that I treat them as such. There are no silly questions or requests! I am happy to cater to what YOU believe and know your pet needs, and work especially hard to keep you updated (unless you request against it). I’m a super cautious and paranoid person, which at times can be a negative. In terms of pet care, though, this means that nothing will slip through the cracks. Any concerns that may in the past have gone unnoticed will be meticulously catered to. I hope you’ll trust that your pets are just as important to me as my own, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure they have the safest and best time they can with me!

Sophia was an excellent communicator, and I felt extremely comfortable entrusting my dogs to her. You can tell her love of animals is genuine - highly recommend!
Sophie and Aden were able to step in at the last minute to watch my dogs and house, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were incredibly communicative, followed every instruction, and spent so much quality time with my dogs, making sure they felt loved and comfortable while I was away. Sophie took the best photos of my dogs and sent so many updates that it truly made my heart happy and gave me peace of mind. They also left my house in perfect condition and even went above and beyond by washing the bed sheets and taking out the trash without being asked. I absolutely plan to use them again whenever I need a dog sitter and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and thoughtful pet sitters!
Absolutely fantastic! Truly cares for my dogs and gives regular updates. We were gone for over a week and it was if we never left. I think the dogs miss her being gone.

The person we originally had setup to dogsit for us over s long weekend was unavailable on short notice, and Shopie was able to fill in on short notice. Our dog Randall was well cared for and Sophie made sure to send us lots of photos!

Programa
I am a college senior at UofM, and am about to graduate. Most of my coursework and internship work can be done remotely and asynchronously, so I’m flexible and willing to adapt to your pet’s needs!! I also am from the Metro Detroit area and can stay with family there, so if you’re looking for services there I may be able to still help out.
