I'm the go-to pet-sitter for people whose friends all have pets. I've been dogsitting consistently in single- and multi-pet households since 2014, establishing a personal, trusted rapport with pets and their families. I've worked with pets young and old, engaging in regular exercise, medication administration, and plenty of belly rubs. I've been the proud owner of pets throughout my life, from a lovable German Shepherd to a spunky Yorkie. And I've watched a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages (senior pets are my current niche), from high-energy Brittanys to homebody New Foundlands, mini- and full-sized doodles, Boston terriers, poodle mixes, bully mixes, and cattle mixes. I live in Boise's Winstead Park neighborhood but have worked with clients in Eagle, Meridian, and Barber Valley — just ask! I'm available for low-risk meet-and-greets with your pets.

I fully believe that keeping pets in your home is the safest, most comfortable option for them while you're away. I treat your home with the utmost respect, caring for pets and plants, bringing in mail, feeding fish, locking doors and gates, and completing other household responsibilities. Responsive communication is a big priority for me, so I respond quickly and check-in regularly with photos, videos, and messages while you're away. My friends, family, or partners are never in your home. Similar to being in the outdoors, I operate with a leave-no-trace attitude. I clean up after myself, wash towels and bedding, and run dishwashers before departure. In most cases, you'll never know I was there, except for a happy pet whose thrilled to see you when you get home. Skylar is a great dog sitter to our sometimes reactive and protective dog. She is very responsive, proactively lets you know how your dog is doing and administers drugs right on schedule. Highly recommend.
We had a great experience with Skylar! She took great care of our dog while staying at our house and was reliable and easy to communicate with throughout our trip. She also left the house very clean and even watered our plants, which we really appreciated. We came home to a happy dog and everything in great shape. We’d definitely recommend her and would be happy to book with her again!
Skylar took wonderful care of our dog, who can be a bit challenging due to some tricky behaviors. She was patient, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs who need extra understanding and care. Skylar communicated with us consistently throughout our trip, sent plenty of photos and updates, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and would absolutely trust Skylar again in the future!
Skylar stayed at our home for over a week and took care of our Aussie while we were out of town. I know her well and totally trust her with our dog and home. She did an amazing job and our pup obviously loves her. We are 100% going to hire Skyler again!
Skylar has watched our dogs and house-sat for over 12 years. She is very reliable and responsible. Our current dog is a bit of a handful, but Skylar is patient, takes good care of her, and has gotten to know her well. She is a great communicator and pays attention to detail. Skylar has taken care of our Doggo for the last several years while we were on vacation. Skylar is prompt thorough and tidy. Most importantly, Skylar cared deeply for our fur baby. Our doggo did not form attachments with many people, but loved Skylar. Skylar was committed to our fur baby’s special needs which included timed meds, finicky eating habits, and nightly schedules. As our pup entered her senior era and her needs increased, Skylar’s compassionate care adjusted appropriately. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Schedule
I'm a remote worker with an active lifestyle (rock climbing, circus arts, etc.), so being away at a job doesn't get in the way of quality pet care. I'm available for sitting 7 days a week on short- and long-term notice, and rarely gone from the home more than a few hours at a time. Message me about additional walk and drop-in availability!
