When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like part of the family. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home environment where your pet's wellbeing is my top priority. I work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Pets are never left alone for more than two hours, and in most cases are with me almost all of the time. Before the booking, we'll discuss your pet's routine, preferences, dietary requirements, and any special needs to help them settle in as comfortably as possible. During their stay, your pet will receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. I will stick as closely as possible to their normal routine to help them feel at home. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can see how your pet is getting on and enjoy peace of mind while you're away. I also have animal first aid experience and access to 24/7 veterinary support should any concerns arise.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my priority. I have a fully fenced garden, giving dogs a secure outdoor space for exercise, play, and toilet breaks. Inside the home, pets are never left without companionship, as I have other friendly pets to keep them company when I’m out. I also use multiple water fountains and automatic feeders, which are monitored and will alert me when levels are low. This means fresh water is always available and feeding routines are followed on schedule, even when I’m not at home for short periods. When out on walks, dogs are always kept on a lead for safety. If appropriate and with owner permission, I also use extendable leads so they can enjoy extra freedom to explore while still remaining secure and under control. As I work from home, pets are supervised for most of the day and are never left alone for more than 2 hours. I maintain a calm, safe environment and follow each pet’s usual routine closely to help them feel settled and secure. Regular updates and photos are provided so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for throughout their stay.

Information Sian G. would like to know about your pet
When booking, please let me know any important details about your pet so I can provide the safest and most consistent care possible. This includes any house rules you normally follow at home, such as no pets on furniture, crate routines, or specific boundaries, so I can continue these while your pet is staying with me and avoid confusion or mixed behaviour. Please also share any ongoing training your pet is working on, including commands, leash training, or behaviour goals. I will continue reinforcing this during their stay to help maintain consistency and support their progress. It’s also very important to let me know about any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary requirements. This ensures your pet stays safe, healthy, and on the correct diet at all times. Additional useful information includes: • Usual daily routine (feeding, walks, sleep habits) • Any medications and how they are administered • Behaviour around other dogs, cats, or new people • Any fears, triggers, or anxieties (e.g. loud noises, separation anxiety) • Vet details in case of emergency The more I know about your pet, the better I can tailor their care and make their stay feel as close to home as possible.
A typical day
Dogs in my care enjoy a balanced mix of exercise, enrichment, rest, and comfort throughout the day. We’re very lucky to have lots of walking options right on the doorstep, including a small park and open field directly opposite my home, a large park just a 10-minute walk away, and multiple quiet fields within a minute’s walk. This gives each dog plenty of variety depending on their energy level and routine. Walks are always done safely on a lead. Where appropriate and with owner permission, I may use an extendable lead to give dogs a bit more freedom to explore while still staying secure and under control. On warmer days, we adjust everything to keep dogs safe and comfortable. We do light exercise in the cooler morning shade in our garden, which is fully shaded at that time of day, and allow plenty of rest during peak heat. If temperatures rise above 20°C, we do not go on walks. To help keep dogs cool, we provide a doggy paddling pool, fresh cold water with ice, and a calm indoor environment with air conditioning, which is especially helpful for long-haired breeds or short-nosed dogs. The rest of the day is a mix of supervised play, enrichment, company from other pets, and quiet rest, ensuring every dog feels relaxed, safe, and cared for from morning to night.

Pet care experience
I've grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a friendly Labrador who is well socialised and used to being around both dogs and cats. Outside of pet care, I organise an annual dog show with the charity Friends of Middleton Park and, this year, I'm also organising a free community dog show for the Belle Isle Gala in partnership with Belle Isle Tenant Management Organisation. I have animal first aid experience and access to veterinary advice and emergency support 24 hours a day, giving you added peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I have my own transport and, at weekends, weather permitting, your dog may enjoy trips to local parks and beauty spots for extra enrichment and exercise. Of course, you'll receive plenty of photos, updates, and messages throughout their stay so you can see just how much fun they're having.
