Hi! I'm Sara. I'm a fashion designer based in Crown Heights/Weeksville Brooklyn. I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia and moved up to NYC for fashion design school. I am a huge animal and dog lover, but since I work full time Mon-Thurs can’t afford to have my own dog yet, so I would love to take care of yours on the weekends! I have volunteered with animal rescues all throughout my life and have experience with a variety of animals with anxiety, dog reactivity, shyness and food guarding. I have volunteered with Badass dog rescue here in Brooklyn, have co-owned a rescue Pittbull with dog reactivity and own a rescue cat with cat reactivity. Since I do have a cat in my home, I can only accept dogs that are ok with cats or smaller dogs. I have a 6 foot per gate I use to separate the animals and will never leave them alone together with your dog in my care if you are not sure about their history with cats. With dogs being in new environments I know how important their comfort is and I do not leave them alone while in my care, so you can be sure your dog will receive lots of attention, adequate walks and exercise and cuddle (if they like them) For any animal, I would love to know about their general mood and quirks and if there are any behaviors you are working on with them so I can respect their training while in my care. Also just general feeding and walking schedules and of course any preferred petting or toys that they enjoy. I truly love animals and wish my love of living in NYC was more compatible with owning more of them. Let me know if you have any questions! Cheers! Sara

I am very attentive and watchful and Make sure to follow your pets routines, training and eating/walking times to keep things as consistent and predictable for them when they are in a new home with a new person.

Sarah was so kind, caring, and communicative while watching my dog Melvin over the weekend while I was working out of town. She sent me updates throughout his stay, was very flexible with pick-up and drop-off times, and was always quick to respond when plans changed. She was also just incredibly friendly and lovely in person. I felt totally comfortable leaving Melvin with her, and I’ll definitely be bringing him back to stay with her again! :-)
Sara is always so great with our puppy. There is no one we trust more when we are out of town.

Sara was incredible with Juan Pablo while my wife and I were away for a week. She sent us regular updates of him in the dog park and on long walks and was extremely responsive to our messages. Our flight arrived at 11pm and she was kind enough to keep JP until after midnight so we could pick him up as soon as we landed. We would gladly let Sara watch our puppy again!
Sara was great. Respectful of all of our guidelines and the perfect balance of being stern and loving with our 7 month old puppy. I highly recommend her for sitting and walking
Sara was great with Daisy and her apartment is roomy and well suited for dog sitting! She sent updates and even was able to keep her an extra night at the last-minute when our travel plans changed. I highly recommend her and have already rebooked her for another upcoming trip.

Schedule
I work from home Fridays and am free Saturday and Sunday's so pet care is limited to those days. I am able to provide morning, afternoon, evening and pre-bedtime walks easily. I am close to two parks and have ample time in the evenings for play, cuddles, walks and training

- For dogs, I would like to know this info: their feeding times and general walking times and daily routine. Any behavioral quirks or fears around leash/walking, other animals, eating, playing and noises/appliances. Your house rules around furniture, crating, sleeping with you or in their own bed, etc so I can be consistent with their training and home routines.
