Hi, I’m Sara (but I go by Rosie)! I live with my two best friends, Biscuit and Crumpet, my two Golden Retrievers. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always loved taking care of them. I actually owned and ran my own dog boarding business for several years, so I have experience caring for all kinds of dogs and getting to know their different personalities and routines. I eventually took a break from boarding to pursue some other things, but I’ve always missed working with animals. Rover gives me a chance to get back to something I really enjoy! I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets with someone else, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own. Whether your dog wants to play, go for a walk, cuddle on the couch, or just stick to their normal routine, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at.

We had a fantastic experience with Sara (AKA Rosie) while we were away for five days in South Carolina. She was incredibly reliable, completing every single scheduled drop-in (3 times per day) without missing a beat. What truly sets her apart is how much quality time she spends with the dogs—not just letting them out quickly, but actually sitting with them, playing, and giving them space to run and explore in our large yard. Our doorbell would notify us when she showed up at the house and she was always out in the yard with the dogs while they explored. She followed all care instructions, including administering their daily joint supplements, and kept me constantly updated with detailed reports and at least 10 photos per visit—which meant I was getting about 30 pictures a day of my dogs being happy, active, and well cared for. That level of visibility gave me so much peace of mind. She was also incredibly proactive: when one of my dogs ran off to a less visible part of the yard, she immediately notified me and took steps to make sure he was safe (he was probably sniffing groundhog holes and choosing not to listen because he loves the yard). I also appreciated her sharing a funny moment when my dogs calmly sniffed a wild bunny—they weren’t aggressive, just curious, and it was comforting to know she filled me in on notable happenings while I was away. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with our pets again—she’s professional, dependable, communicative, and clearly has a real love for animals. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work part time, but my schedule is very flexible, so I don’t have the typical 9–5 schedule to work around. I’m usually able to come by in the morning, afternoon, or evening, depending on what your pets need.

- Since I rent my home, I’m not able to board pets at my house. However, I’m more than happy to come to your home and take care of them there. I actually really like house sitting because your pets get to stay in the place they already know and love, without having to adjust to a new environment.
