At the moment, I do not have another job, so I am fully available to care for your pet(s). I would also like to earn a bit extra, so I am looking for people, preferably Dutch or English speaking (A bit of German will do too), where I can be of more help in and around the house, for example with cleaning and organizing. I can also welcome your pet into our home while you are at work. I live together with my husband Arjan (also in the photo). We currently do not have any pets ourselves. We have a spacious fenced garden with a lawn, and right behind our house there is a sandy beach where your dog(s) can run and play freely. In addition, I am a qualified childcare worker with 20 years of experience caring for children from 0 to 12 years old. I still hold a valid pediatric first aid certificate, and I would be very happy to also support you with childcare — in fact, I would truly enjoy that. I would be glad to discuss these details further with you in a personal conversation.

Safety, trust, and well-being are my top priorities. At your home, I will respect your space and follow your instructions carefully to make sure your pets feel safe and cared for. Unfortunately I'm not yet able to offer pet sitting at my home, as we are in the process of emigrating. My partner and I travel around in our campervan, and sometimes rent a house. When I am allowed to offer pet sitting in a rental home, I will update my profile accordingly.

A typical day
I love building a genuine connection with an animal. Really getting to know it. How does it feel? What does it truly enjoy? And what might it be afraid of? Coming up with an activity that actually makes the dog or cat happy is something I find really rewarding — a nice walk, for example, or throwing a ball. And there are plenty of fun games you can think of for cats too. Or simply giving them attention through stroking or brushing.

Hello, my name is Sandra :) You can count on me to care for your pets and your home as if they were my own. I grew up surrounded by animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs – and during my teenage years, my sister and I also cared for a horse. Later, I lived on a small farm with chickens, goats, runner ducks, and even a pig. Cats have always been part of my life, right up until recently. For the past seven years, I also cared a lot for Meery, the dog of a close friend. She often stayed with us, and I took a big part in her care: long walks, frequent brushing, and providing medical attention when needed. I miss her dearly now that I live in Spain. Me and my partner Arjan love nature and enjoy long walks, which dogs will certainly benefit from. I love caring for plants also — indoors and outdoors. Got a vegetable garden? I have plenty of experience there too. Need an extra hand? I'd be happy to help. In addition, I am open to helping with small household tasks while you are at work. This can be arranged at an agreed price through a separate Rover contract, as I enjoy earning a little extra on the side. Two years ago, I completed a course in animal communication. I still have very little experience and mainly wish to practice, so I cannot guarantee results. Still, it can sometimes offer an interesting and rewarding way to connect with your pet on a deeper level. I am happy to send frequent updates with photos or videos, and if you like, we can schedule a video call so you can say hello to your pets while you’re away. All-round pet sitting and care — that's what Sandra did for us in and around the house while we were on holiday for a week. We have quite a few different animals, and we have a routine for who gets fed when and at what time. I wrote this all down for Sandra, which she appreciated too. We have two horses, a dog, two cats, two rabbits and three chickens. We kept in touch via WhatsApp and Sandra kept us updated on how everything was going — relaxed and friendly, sometimes with a photo included. We found her dedication and help really pleasant, and when we go on holiday again with the kids, we've already asked if Sandra would be happy to come and stay again to look after our animals. She also makes sure the house stays tidy and clean, and that the plants get watered — including in the garden. She is reliable and we're glad to know the animals are in good hands with her.
Echt! Je wilt Sandra als je huisdieren oppas! Ik weet dat ze enorm veel van dieren houdt; het maakt haar niet uit of het over honden, katten, konijnen, kippen of eenden gaat. Zij is een grote dierenvriend en dieren houden van haar. Een dierenmagneet dus. Een groot pluspunt vind ik ook, dat ze cursussen heeft gevolgd in dierencommunicatie. Dit laat zien dat ze zich werkelijk verdiept in het welzijn, de gezondheid en de essentie van een dier. Sandra is lief, vrolijk, betrouwbaar en ze gaat zorgvuldig en bewust om met zowel dier als mens. Sandra heeft 2 weken voor mijn 2 poezen gezorgd; toen ik weer huis kwam, waren ze heel knuffelig, relaxed en rustig. (Als ze teveel alleen zijn geweest krijg ik altijd “the cold shoulder- behandeling” van ze…) Én mijn huis was ook spik en span. Sandra is echt een topper!
