Hello! Guten Tag! 😊 Thank you for taking the time to read MY profile! I joined Rover in 2015 and have watched over 1.800 dogs since then. I feel blessed to be able to have turned my passion for dogs into a full-time job. I grew up in the south of Germany and my first job was being a dog walker. Being out in nature with a dog is great! My family enjoyed bike tours on vacations and sleeping over on farms which I truly enjoyed. I worked in animal shelters and in a dog boarding and training facility. My family of 6 live close to the mountains in Frederick, Md. We have a large fenced in yard that's devided into 2 sides. One for my dogs and one for dogs that I care for. We have a pack of small dogs ;-) a Chihuahua (Herkules), 4 Chinese Crested (Teddy, Tina, Viva and Nico), a Cavapom Jessie and a mini Aussiedoodle Destiny. My dogs get along well with gentle big dogs and most friendly small dogs. My husband and I both stay home and we homeschool some of our children. My husband used to foster dogs and grew up with dogs too. I used to work at the doggie daycare at "Sit means Sit" in Frederick (dog boarding and training company). I met all kind of different dog breeds and learned a lot more about dog behavior and their body language. I would love to take care of your dog(s). Your dog will get lots of playtime. My older boys enjoy spending time with dogs too if your dog is child friendly. I will feed your provided dog food and do my best to make him feel comfortable while he is staying with me. I can give medicine or flea protection if your dog is with me during the time when he will need it again. I do require dogs to be on flea/ tick protection and they need to be dewormed regularly. I do not watch people aggressive dogs or dogs with high anxiety issues. It is also best if your dog is used to being crated at times as we use dens in our dog building. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and getting to know your four-legged friend. Promo code for "First time" Rover users: Ask me for a promo code to get 20$ off your first stay. I will make sure I only let dogs out together if they get along. Smaller dogs that don't like big dogs will be out separate or in the yard with my dogs. If your dog is not social with other dogs then he can be let out alone too. Please let me know! I offer boarding and daycare every day. Earliest drop off is 7am. Even though I have had exceptions with earlier drop offs. Latest pick up is 8pm. I put my kids to bed around 8.30pm so pick up anytime before that time is best for us to avoid them waking back up from barking dogs.

Sandra took great care of Opal. She has a fenced in area, full of fun things for dogs. Opal came home exhausted every night, which was my goal. Thanks Sandra!

Sandra is amazing -from what she offers to the doggies to how she communicates with us. Our two dogs (big and medium size) have been going there for over five years. They come home exhausted and we know (have seen) how much they have played!!!

Sandra is absolutely amazing! She has a huge, secure yard with so many fun activities to keep the dogs happy, active, and entertained. It's clear she truly loves what she does and has created a place where dogs can play, explore, and enjoy themselves. Her temperature-controlled boarding facility is clean, comfortable, and gives great peace of mind knowing the dogs are safe and comfortable no matter the weather. I also really appreciate how she carefully matches dogs that get along well, creating a fun and positive play environment. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your dog and provides a safe, enriching place for them to stay, I highly recommend Sandra. My dog had a wonderful experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to board with her again!

Schedule

We have a safe dog building for our dog business. It is beautifully designed and has a separate den for each dog. There is a window in each den to look into the yard. It has A/C and heat! You don't need to worry about your dog getting into stuff inside a home ;-)

I don't have a breed preference because any dog can be a good one. It's good to know how dogs use their body language to tell us how they feel. Also our energy toward a dog plays an important role.
