I’m a busy full time worker, supporting clinicians in the NHS and Private Healthcare across the whole of the UK, but when I’m working from home I open my home to you and your pooch as a way to fulfil my wanting for a pet, without the ability to own one full time myself. I adored owning my own four legged best friend and it was an important part of my daily and weekly routine, it was something I looked forward to every day and now I’m able to give that to yours. In their time with me, I make sure to prioritise your pet's needs and it helps me with my own. I update my diary on a weekly basis to ensure I have the most accurate availability for either, dog walking, sitting or boarding. Daily Routine: Morning: As soon as I wake up, I would feed your pooch and make sure they have fresh water. I take them for a walk or let them out to get some exercise and fresh air. This helps start the day on the right foot for both of us. Midday: Depending on my schedule, I make sure your pet has access to a comfortable space to rest, usually beside me, especially with the need to work. I will check in regularly with a quick playtime or a short walk during the day. Evening: After work or other commitments, I would take some time to play, go on another walk to help them burn off excess energy or involve them with activities I’ve planned with friends and family. I also make sure they get a final meal of the day, followed by a cozy time to settle down for the night. Weekly Routine: If your pet stays with me on a day you require certain things to be carried out, I’m happy to accommodate. Grooming: I can either assist in taking your pet to the groomers if it falls on a day they’re with me, or I can set aside time for grooming if the breed requires, this may include brushing their fur, trimming their nails. This routine helps ensure they stay comfortable and clean. Vet Appointments & Supplies: Like with grooming, if your pet if with me and needs to get to any necessary vet appointments or restock pet supplies like food, treats, and toys. It's all part of maintaining their well-being and if I can help you and them, I will. Overall, caring for pets was and can be woven into the fabric of my busy daily and weekly life. As mentioned, if I’m unable to give your beloved four legged friend the time they need, my diary will not be open!

When your four legged friend is in my care, in my home or yours, be assured that their safety is of paramount importance to me! I live on my own in a four bedroom home, based in Brockworth/Hucclecote, Gloucestershire. I have an enclosed front and rear gardens with great walking routes and fields surrounding me. I help make sure your pooch is cared and looked after in the following ways: 1. Establish a Safe Space - Designate a dog-friendly area in my home where the dog can feel comfortable, such as a crate, playpen, or a specific room with no hazards. Ensuring there’s a dog-proofed space to prevent the dog from getting into dangerous areas, like electrical cords or cleaning supplies. 2. Maintain a Routine - I’ll stick to the dog's usual feeding schedule, whether it’s dry food, wet food, or any special diet. Continue with walks and bathroom breaks as per their usual routine. This helps them feel secure and maintain their health. 3. Supervise Interaction with Other Pets - I don’t have any other pets, but If you have other pets in your home, ensure the dog’s interaction is supervised, especially if they’re not familiar with each other or don’t get on. I understand that not all pets get along. Keep them separated during meals or if there are any resource guarding issues. 4. Be Mindful of Dangerous Foods and Plants - Make sure there’s no access to harmful foods like chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, or other toxic substances. Keep harmful household items like medications, cleaning products, and plants (like lilies or poinsettias) out of reach. 5. Secure the Garden and Doors - If you have a garden, ensure the gates/fence is secure and that the dog can’t escape. Double-check gates and locks. Close doors securely to prevent the dog from running out of the house when guests arrive or when you’re not paying attention. 6. Keep Their Comfort in Mind - Providing a comfortable bed or blanket so the dog has a place to rest. Maintain a calm environment, especially if the dog is anxious, by avoiding loud noises or chaotic situations. 7. Identification and Contact Information - Please ensure that your dog has proper identification (collar, tags with your contact information, or a microchip). Have your friend’s vet contact details for me, on hand in case of an emergency. 8. Follow Their Care Instructions - Stick to any specific care instructions you require, such as medication doses, exercise routines, or dietary restrictions. 9. Avoid Leaving Them Unattended in Cars - Never leave the dog alone in a car, even for a short period, as temperatures can rise quickly and lead to heatstroke. 10. Emergency Preparedness - Familiarise myself with the dog’s health history and know what to do in case of an emergency. Keep a list of emergency vet clinics handy.

Reviews

Dexter has a fab time with Sam & his partner. He was very well looked after & napped once he got home after a day of playing with balls!

My dog was so well looked after by Sam and his partner, he’s come home happy and tired. I got regular updates and pictures and it made me feel comfortable that he was having the best time ☺️ Thank you so much!

Sam and Georgia always take such good care of Coco. He loves going to spend the day with them and it makes me feel a lot happier about having to go to the office for the day, knowing he's looked after and so happy!

I’m really pleased with the care my dog received with Sam and Georgia. Tuffy is quite an anxious boy and can be a bit tricky but they made sure he had everything he needed and helped him feel comfortable. They were reliable and kept me updated so I knew he was doing okay which made it much easier to relax while I was away. They were friendly, easy to deal with and nothing seemed too much trouble. I took home a happy, calm dog and I’m really grateful for that.
