Rudy was great! I got photo updates and constant communication during their stay. My girls looked very happy. (Believe me, their little faces would show otherwise.) He answered any questions I had. I greatly appreciate him taking good care of my girls.

I absolutely adore Rudy and so did my sweet girls. This was our first time using a pet sitter and I was beyond nervous, especially because my Penny is a tiny 4 pounds. Not only did Rudy take awesome care of my girls but he sent pics and update text to calm my nerves. I would highly recommend Rudy to anyone looking for a pet sitter. He went above and beyond and we will definitely use his services again.

We JUST rescued our pup but had already had plans to go out of town and didn’t want to leave him alone. I met Rudy at PetSmart and just talking to him for a few minutes you can immediately tell he knows so much about dogs and caring for them and absolutely loves animals. We felt so comfortable leaving our pup in his care and he provided check-ins throughout our little guys stay. He asked us what we were already doing at home so he could follow that lead which I think is so considerate instead of just sticking to his personal routine. I HIGHLY recommend Rudy and will definitely be leaving our pup there for any other trips we have coming up!!

I was going to be gone for the day and worried where I can leave my older dog. Normally hes outside but in the hear it's to much. Thankfully Rudy was able to take care of him for the day. He sent my updates on how my dog was doing and pampered him so much! We need more people who look after dogs for the love and joy it! Rudy is definitely one of them. A big big thank you!

Rudy’s knowledge and professionalism is why my husband and I strongly recommend him. His passion and love for animals is incomparable! Not only will he care for your dog as if he was his own, but he will go out of his way to ensure your dog isn’t taken care for. We have a 2 year old pit bull who primarily is an inside dog ( for his safety) and we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to find someone who is caring and has enough energy to keep up with our Stitch! He did just that and more! The weekend we were gone, Rudy taught our stitch to not pull on the leash while we are walking and didn’t bother charging us extra for that training service! We met him at PetSmart in El Centro where he trains dogs. After seeing how well he did with stitch and how much stitch loves him, we are definitely going to continue having Rudy care for our stitch! We also signed up for his training classes too!

Schedule

Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I own and operate a professional dog daycare and boarding facility, so caring for dogs is my full-time focus. My day revolves around feeding schedules, enrichment, exercise, training, and monitoring each dog’s wellbeing. Because of this structured routine and experience, I’m able to provide consistent, attentive care and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my home, dogs stay in a clean, secure environment with structured routines, supervised play, and plenty of enrichment. I carefully monitor dog interactions and adjust groups based on temperament and energy levels. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress—maintaining feeding schedules, walks, medications, and updates for owners. My background as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) helps me read body language and keep pets safe and relaxed.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day includes plenty of attention, activity, and structure to help dogs feel comfortable and happy. Mornings start with potty breaks, feeding (if scheduled), and some light play or enrichment. Throughout the day dogs get supervised playtime, walks, rest periods, and lots of positive interaction. I monitor each dog’s energy level and adjust activities so they stay relaxed and safe. In the evening we wind down with another potty break, feeding if needed, and calm time before bed. Owners receive regular updates and photos.

Rudy can host up to 20 pets per night
Before caring for a pet, I like to know about their personality, routine, and any special needs. Important details include feeding schedules, medications, allergies, training cues they know, comfort items, and how they interact with other dogs or new people. I also ask about energy level, fears, and anything that helps them feel secure. The more I understand about your pet’s habits and preferences, the better I can provide a safe, low-stress, and enjoyable experience for them. All pets must be current on vaccinations for Rabies, Parvo combo, and Bordetella for services.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
