I take time to let each dog settle in and get comfortable with me before diving into a routine, reading their body language, letting them approach on their own terms, and adjusting based on what they need. Calm, attentive energy is a big part of how I work with animals.

Our situation was tricky - a two week housesitting gig with two dogs who didn't know each other well, once a puppy and the other a small, 16 year old, nearly blind and with various medical needs. Once they were together, some territory troubles (including some "intentional" indoor accidents!) ensued. Ruby went the extra mile, came over twice before our trip to learn about the meds, and wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty when the pups got creative. She was feeling sick the first day of the trip, but showed up anyway and pushed through it to make sure we could make our flights without worry. When we got home, the pups were in good shape, and she sent messages with pics regularly during the trip to ensure we knew everything was going well. Great work all around!

Ruby took care of everything while we were on vacation for 2 weeks (even watered our lawn). Our dogs usually go crazy when we get home from a trip… this time, they were not nearly as excited to see us. This says a lot about Ruby & the care/attention they got while we were away. Ruby stayed in contact with us on a daily basis with pictures that made our family feel better about leaving for so long. Thank you!

Schedule
I work from home full-time, so I’m around and available throughout the day, not just evenings and weekends. That means consistent walks, no rushed visits, and someone actually present in the house rather than popping in and out.
